Adam hung up on me TWICE when I called to discuss an issue about the invoice we received today to fix our Bosch microwave. When I told him I would write a YELP review and was insulted that he didn't even listen to my complaint he said he didn't care and hung up again. I guess they have too much business. I wouldn't recommend Nutter. I've been a customer since 2010, and have had to replace the same part on my range every 3 years. I spoke with Nick on the phone and told him that I SDG&E had been out because I had smelled gas coming from the oven. SDG&E said it was most likely the gas valve at the main burner, and/or the ignitor. Nick gave me a quote on replacing the gas valve during our phone call, which was going to be very expensive. I expressed concern that I may not want to have it repaired because of the ongoing expense I've had to pay every 3 years. Nick ENCOURAGED me to repair it, because he said that my range was good quality compared to what is out there on the market today. I agreed to have Nutter diagnose the problem, and the result was as expected: new gas valve and new ignitor. Turns out though, that the part is no longer made, and they can't do the repair, but I still had to pay $170 for the diagnosis. Knowing my old range and it's repair history, good customer service would have been to make sure the part was available before you ask your customer to pay nearly $200. As the service tech put it, I could have checked Ebay to see if the part was available. I have since checked, and can't find the part anywhere....wish Nutter would've researched more to give me more accurate options. I expressed my dissatisfaction in an email to Nick at Nutter 10 days ago, and never heard back from them. So, in the future I will be using a different repair company. read more

Nutter is an authorized Bosch repair service provider which I used to check by Bosch SilentPro that was not draining the water and the water tap signal was coming on. The issue with the draining was resolved within minutes by removing the debris from sink air gap. For the other issue the technician troubleshooted all the possible causes and after further consultation the suspect was the water circulating pump that may be not working 100% due to hard water caused calcification. The cost of replacing the motor is high. I was only charged for the service call and the arrival was very timely. I would use the service again. read more

After a terrible experience w/ another appliance company, Nutter came to our rescue! I called yesterday and we had Richard here today to repair our Dacor oven. Within about 20 minutes, he diagnosed and happily explained the problem, repaired it, and even advised me about our other appliances. Patrick is our technician and he is very nice and he did a good job to root-cause our issue in 5 minutes. Our Bosch dishwasher suddenly stops in mid-cycle and cannot turn on again. We used another technician from another company which sucks and cannot figure out the issue even spending 30 min. Patrick fixed our issue and recommends how to maintain our dishwasher, he is awesome. I called and spoke with a receptionist who patched me right through to a technician who asked me to describe what was going on with my dishwasher BEFORE they tried to send someone out. I appreciated that since every other place I called tried to send a technician out blind, which I feel would be a waste of my time and money since they would probably have to come back once they found out what the problem was. The technician on the phone explained that they operate by doing everything in one visit if possible, including keeping 80% of the parts they need on hand so there is little chance of them coming back. A knowledgeable technician came out the next day and since I had already told them my make and model, he had all the parts he needed. He ran tests and narrowed it down to the timer which he had on hand so I had him replace it. All in all a rather expensive fix but a bulk of the cost was the timer part its self. Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly, each person I talked to and dealt with. read more

I've used Nutter Appliance a few times and have always been impressed. What impresses me most is that they don't just turn up and charge a visit fee, but first try to fix your problem over the phone. I once called them saying my dishwasher wasn't cleaning well and was given some really useful tips to try before booking a visit. The tips worked great. This time I was getting a strange error on the dishwasher. I was advised to try resetting it at the circuit breaker and only if that didn't work to book a visit. They did have to come out to change the flow meter in this case. The technician was knowledgeable, efficient, and left my kitchen cleaner than when he arrived. They left a sticker, which I attached to the dishwasher to remind me of their number if I ever need them again. I'm pleased to be able to recommend Nutter Appliance. read more

I called them to repair a recall issue for a Bosch dishwasher. The technician was unable to remove the dishwasher after some maneuvering. He ran a test, coincidentally after all the moving around, an error code came up. He fiddled with the drain pipe on the faucet, ran the test again, and the error code cleared. The dishwasher ran one more time and hasn't run since, with the same error code displaying. Both people I talked to refused to acknowledge that maybe it was their technician jiggling the machine around that caused the error even though it's been running flawlessly for the past two years. They would be happy to charge me for a return visit though! read more

I called Adam (the owner) after I checked around for prices and chose his company, because I thought that he was being totally forthright in what he said to me about prices and labor etc., Well, after the repairman came out, he diagnosed the problem and it turned out to not be what Adam suggested it might be. That was good, because it would actually be cheaper. My gripe is not with the actual service. That was really good and the repairman was courteous and knowledgeable. It was with the labor cost that I was misinformed about. That part of the bill was inflated and I was not happy about it and I let Adam know. Well, instead of "making the customer happy", or at least, making some concerted effort to 'split' that extra cost in half, he simply spoke above me and basically said, it is what it is. If you're going to use this company, make sure that the labor is written out in detail before allowing them do any work for you. read more

Called Nutter Appliance for what I thought was a warranty repair. Talked with a tech on the phone (and I forgot your name *sorry*). After explaining my problem and a few questions from the tech, he suggested it might be an electrical problem, not a warranty issue. Sure enough, it was an electrical problem (and thankfully, an easy fix). Another company may have just shown up to the house & charged a service call. This company saved me time & money and provided excellent customer service for the cost of a simple phone call. I called up 6 weeks ago and Nick one of the owners ordered the part he thought I needed for my Thermador vent. Because it took over 6 weeks for them to get back to me I went with Thermador factory that was not only much cheaper, but got the part and fixed it within 2 weeks over the Christmas season. I was shocked when they called me to tell me that they got the part in and could come out and fix it. Horrible customer service!!!! read more

These are the rudest people ive ever encountered. I was told to use them for warranty work. In short they're doing a huge injustice to the insinkerator company they do warranty work for. Insinkerator needs someone new to work with. They couldn't commit to coming out for 3 weeks....then said they would make a morning appointment....then after taking the day off until 2:30pm to accomodate their morning schedule, they STILL couldn't make it. They are selfish and inconsiderate and i guarantee any 5-star ratings are just from family or employees. read more

I was referred to Nutter by our warranty company to repair my Thermador range. The technician came out for one problem (half the stave top wasn't working) and left with us being unable to use the entire stove/range. The technician clearly hadn't worked on our range before as he had phoned his boss to "walk him through" the diagnosis. My issue wasn't with the technician or his unfamiliarity with our range, it was how Nick and Adam proceeded to treat me while they waited for parts. The technician stated that he would be back in 2-5 days once the parts came in. I waited until Day 6 to call for an update and was told they would call me back. They never called. I called again on Day 7. Nick stated that he "had talked to me about it yesterday" but he would check into the matter and get back. This time he did call back after a couple hours and stated that the parts had come in but were missing a couple screws. When I asked him if the old screws could be used, he proceeded to laugh it off and said they were being shipped from Dallas and would take another week. The soonest they could return to repair our range was Thursday. I explained that we had been unable to use our range since their technician came out a week ago. When I asked if they could prioritize our service call that day, I was told they would only say "I wouldn't be the last call". Again, Nick laughed it off saying they would take $100 off for labor to "make things right". I pointed out that this was under warranty so it wasn't making things right. I simply asked that the technician return Thursday morning. Nick clearly became flustered and Adam (apparently the owner) got on the phone. Adam clearly had an issue with me when he came on the phone because his tone was not cooperative and he proceeded to argue that it was impossible to meet my request because I live in North County. I expressed my disappointment in their customer service and he then told me he was not going to repair my range at all! At this point, we have a range that doesn't work and a bad taste in our mouths from Nutter. If you have a Thermador range, do NOT let them anywhere near it. read more

This is the only appliance repair company that I will use ... having received a quote of $1200 from another company to repair my Viking range (with an incorrect diagnosis to boot!), Nutter not only diagnosed the problem over the phone, but arrived on time and were clearly knowledgeable about the problem associated with my oven. Too many repair companies think that because one owns high end appliances, they should pay high end prices. We were extremely impressed with Nutter from start to finish. We inherited an essentially professional-grade range when we moved into our house a couple of years ago, and it had never worked right (flaky igniters, broiler not operational, etc.). We had three other companies try and fail to resolve all the issues before we contacted Nutter. Nutter was among only a few authorized servicers listed on the range vendor's website. They were very friendly and helpful over the phone. They gave us nice narrow windows of when the service technician would show - an hour (e.g., between 8 AM and 9 AM), and the technician was always extremely prompt. And the best part: they fixed all the issues. We would definitely contact Nutter again should we have issues in the future. read more

The technician (Pat) was at my house promptly, was knowledgeable, and was able to fix the problem (partially disconnected gas-connector inside the unit - yikes) in a very short time. I will be forever grateful to Adam at Nutter Appliance. My 11 year-old Thermador oven was having issues - strange lights blinking an SOS-like sequence, which an online search revealed a particular error message (too hot in the oven) which did not make sense, as the oven was off, cool and hadn't been used in days. I called Thermador and asked if they could help me troubleshoot, which they would not. Nutter is the only Thermador approved repair in San Diego, so I called them to see if they had any thoughts and to set up an appointment. I spoke with Adam who thought there were things I could try prior to sending out a repair person and suggested I shut off the breaker which would re-boot the oven. He said he'd be happy to set up an appointment if it didn't work, but maybe this would fix the issue and save us time and money. How refreshing! And low and behold, the breaker re-set did indeed fix the issue - including the non-functioning clock which hadn't worked in years. I will certainly call Nutter should we need assistance in the future, and in the mean time, I give them my thanks and the highest recommendation possible. read more

These guys a great!!! I have a Bosch Dishwasher and Bosch asked them to do a diagnostic. They found the problem in 5 minutes and fixed it in about that about the same time. They replaced burned wires that were grounding out. Washer works great they even shimmed it in place to in doesn't move when you open the door. Great job and I did pay anything. Bosch did pay them for the service call so I didn't feel bad about the whole thing. THESE GUYS OUR GREAT!!! read more

Wow! Sent a half-written email (by accident) through the website after hours, and received a very friendly response requesting information about my garbage disposal within 30 minutes!! We emailed back and forth for a few minutes, and I got a call first thing in the morning to schedule an appointment. Repair man showed up and replaced my garbage disposal in less than 30 minutes. He asked my wife, "Who installed this thing?" When she answered, "My husband," with a question in her voice, he said, "Oh, well, if it was your husband, he did a good job. My Bosch dishwasher overflowed and flooded the kitchen. Took time off from work to meet the repairman in the middle of the day. The repairman said he couldn't find anything wrong. Charged me full price for the visit and the non-repair. Three days later the same problem reoccurred. I called them back asking for same day service since it was a problem they should have fixed and I was leaving town for a week. They said perhaps they could schedule me next week-not helpful. They were sent here to fix a dishwasher which was washing fine but had a display problem. They came and within 2 minutes, tampered with it and say "the pump is bad" and "we have to order parts and come again". They left me with a wreck that stopped working. What an unscroupulous company! Poor Service and Poor Installation. Had Technician install disposal at my place. Called plumbing company to find leak under my sink and it was the disposal Nutter Appliance installed. Disposal elbow looked like a wrench was used to make fittings shorter instead of cutting it with a saw. Should have been done properly and I wouldn't of had to pay another person to find this leak. I tried to use Nutter Appliance to fix my cooktop. First of alll they couldn't get to me for 3 day. That was not great, but I went ahead and made the appt. They were supposed to come today, they didn't give me a time frame, which again I wasn't thrilled about but knew that either I or my babysitter would be here all day today. This morning at 11am, I found 3 messages on my phone , 1st one they were calling to say they were on their way. 2nd one they called again to say that if they didn't hear from me they would have to send their guy to the next job. The 3rd message was them calling to say since I had not answered their calls or called them back that they were going to their next job. I have never encountered this with any other service person. An appt is an appt! I called to try to find out when they were coming, the guy on the phone was extremely RUDE and unprofessional. When I told him I was of the understanding that we had made an appt, he rudely said, since they didn't hear from me they can't just keep their guy waiting around! I told him again that that was NOT what I had understood and he got even more rude and said, yes, he had told me that and that he was waiting on my answering his call before he would come out. He raised his voice with me and said, "yes I did tell that!' We went back and forth, I told him his customer service skills were terrible and that he needs to make sure that customers understand the way they go on their "appt." He was so rude and finally said it wasnt going to work out for them to help me! NO KIDDING! As if I would have rescheduled with them. SO, if you want to be treated in a rude manner and perhaps be stood up by service personnel, just call Nutter Appliance! I then called Appliance Care, the guy was really knowledgable, very polite and professional and even told me how I could safely use my cooktop until he can get over here! So much better! read more
