I came here because Cindy who does awesome work moved here from another spa. I was expecting just your average nail place BUT, I was very surprised when I walked in. It's so beautiful! Very open.. You can have a private party up to 6 and they provide Cupcakes, Cookies and Flowers. They have little sections they hold 2 -4 people. I came here bc a friend recommended it and I was looking for a new go-to despite this place being a trek. I had made an appointment as it seems like the way to go to assure prompt service because it can get busy. I got a pedicure and the powder dip manicure. I love how they provide you complimentary fruit and drinks. The pedicure was pretty standard, no complaints! And this was my first time getting the powder dip. The girl doing my nails was very patient with me choosing my color and when I had changed my mind, we easily switched. I love powder dip and will forever get it on my nails now. I liked how thin she made the acrylic so it still felt like my real nails (just harder). My biggest downside is the price. I was really surprised on the cost of the powder dip of $50. Two weeks later, I went to a different place and got just as great results for a lower price. So unfortunately, the distance plus cost is a no-go for me. The staff is very friendly but the services are over priced for the quality of nails I got . I paid $95 for a pedicure that didn't last me a week I asked her to do my toes acrylic and she denied me and said she was gonna do my toe and not charge me . Which she did but I didn't say anything . I pay $70 for my nails that didn't last but 4 days I went back to get one fixed but of course I lost 2 more the following day and the rest keep popping off. Don't come here if you want an ombre. I came here with my sister in law and the nail technicians had no idea what they were doing. They first only put glitter at the tip of the nail after the base color. Just that alone is $5.00 per nail because they consider it a "design." I have been to a lot of nail salons and 99.9% of them don't charge for a coat of glitter at the edge of the nail. It takes no skill or design and it takes less nail polish considering you are only putting glitter at the tip and not the whole finger. Anyways, my sister in law asked for an ombre and the lady only put glitter at the tips. We had to tell her to put more glitter and try to fade out. She did a horrible job because the density of the glitters on all her nails were not consistent. My biggest issue is that if you don't know how to do it, just say so. Don't waste our time, your time, or our money. Nail technician did a horrible job and she tried to charge us for the "design" she messed up. We had to argue with the manager. In all honesty, they should have offered to do my sister in law's nails again. They look so bad. read more

I went here with my best friend after hearing rave reviews about the place. Overall the ambiance was nice and the place was clean. And they offered fresh fruit and a cold beverage. There was however cell phone use even though sign said none. I had a great pedicure that still looks great after almost 3 weeks. My nails on the other hand were one of the worst refills I had ever had. The buffing left bumps and the top coat actually turned brown after a few days, so much so it looked like I had foundation on my nails. So, if you want to go for pedicure, I would recommend. But I wouldn't be able to recommend for nails. read more

I went this past Sunday and got a fill. I forgot to call ahead to make an appointment to ensure I would have Andy (highly recommend.) When I got there he was busy and I didn't have a lot of time so another gal did my fill. I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years and never have they looked so bad. Needless to say I asked the gal at the front if I could come back during the week to have someone fix them. After one look she said "absolutely." I went in Tuesday after work. I let the gentleman at the front know the situation and after a quick look at my nails and customer profile he sat me right down. He introduced himself as the owner and apologized for the inconvenience. Kevin did my fill and he did great work! I believe the owner said his name was David. I went again to give them another chance bc my regular place closed early this time I went to get my nails I already had on refilled. EVERYTHING WENT WRONG! First of all the price guide at the front of the store says refills are $25 but when I asked for a refill in with shellac they charged me $40 and extra $15 for what bc in stores a shellac polish is the same price as a regular nail polish. The ended up filing my nails too thin again and they were breaking the very next day! And the color I picked didn't match the color that was on the fake nails you choose from. They are just charging wayyy too much to be doing such a terrible job! There is no reason why I'm paying $40 for a refill for my nails to break the very next day bc they're buffing them so much! It's a huge inconvenience to me bc this nail shop is not close. Just continually disappointed. read more

the first time I visited Venus, my friend and I (she's a returning customer) called for availability on a whim. The timing worked out for us and I was able to have the best pedicure I've ever had! You don't have to ask for water, a complementary fruit tray was given to me which is a nice bonus and everyone was so very nice! I also received eyebrow waxing which I was extremely satisfied with. I didn't walk out with a red face from irritation and the service was so gentle! Later on I decided to go back and get a full set of nails. I called on a Sunday, and was able to go in within minutes. The receptionist asked for my name and said that she had checked me in. So when I arrived, I really was all checked in! My nail services by Tony were absolutely fantastic! Not everyone is perfect, and not every time will I expect that when I call someone will be immediately available. This place really does care about the customer being happy. Don't leave because you are unhappy. These folks will do whatever it takes to make sure you are happy!! I know I'll be back! read more

It started with the lack of a good selection of regular polish colors. Then, I selected the pedicure option that focuses on the calluses and cracked heels but did not receive anything near that. The lady next to me got a cheaper pedicure selection and received the cheese grater on her heels, but I only received the pumice rock for a few seconds. The manager (I believe) yelled across the salon to tell my lady that she needed to hurry because they were busy, which is extremely unprofessional and not what you want to hear yelled across in what is supposed to be a "relaxing" salon. I went here since it was close to my home, and 290 was shut down and I was unable to go to my usual salons on Fry and Mound (Island Nails and Bellagio Nails). read more

They always make sure you're taken care of whether it's a bite to eat (fruit plates) or something to drink like water or soda. Each time I come, I'm never disappointed. Today, Ken gave me a French Manicure called a 'pink and white' which is tips glued on and pink powder on the nail bed with white powder on the tip. It's so elegant looking. Ken is a pro! He's amazing. Also, Tracy gave me a 'Heavenly' pedicure and it truly lived up to its name. I was completely relaxed while she took care of my feet and legs. Amazing service today and everyday! Very friendly and clean. I have had my nails done there around 6 times and only once did I have a bad experience (the tech is no longer there and they rectified the issue). I have also had a pedicure, which was good, and an eyebrow wax, which was near perfect. I can call them with a 5-minute heads-up and they always get me right to a station. I have been going here for the past 6 months. I went back last month without knowing that they are now under new management. The nail tech lady convinced to try the dip powder ($50) and within a week my nails starting chipping. Awful!! Since, I didn't know they were under new I figured I would deal with it and let Tony (previous owner) know when I got there. Well to my surprise I was told he was no longer the owner and that if I wanted to switch back to color powder it would be a new set. Manager told me that I should've called right away. My only choice was to pay for a new set again. Well you have lost a customer Venus Nails!
