My experience with this company was nothing short of a nightmare. They promised a lush, green lawn but delivered dead patches and weeds. Despite several complaints and consistent communication about my dissatisfaction, their customer service employed fraudulent tactics. They led me to believe I had switched from an annual agreement to a month-to-month contract, providing them with additional months to improve their services and my lawn. After six more months of trying to give them a chance to improve, I finally decided to terminate my supposed month-to-month service. However, they then claimed I was never on a month-to-month agreement but was instead locked into an annual contract and demanded payment for a full 12 months of awful service. Do not hire this company, they have horrible customer service Liz and Judy were extremely rude. They killed our grass with their pest control, and when they were confronted with this, they said that we killed the grass due to lack of watering. We water our lawn every day we live on a lake and pull the water from there so they're trying to call me a liar, if I wasn't watering my grass all the grass would die. It's only dead patches. Terrible customer service and yard service. They are not to be trusted in my opinion. After cancelling their service (with several notices over the past 15 months due to poor service), a supervisor was sent out to try and change our mind. We refused, and were clear we cancelled, they had already been given too many chances. A few days later we received an e-mail saying the supervisor didn't have authority to accept the cancellation. They now wanted us to pay for an additional year of service, claiming we had given a verbal agreement to a yard technician the month prior. We asked to speak with that tech and were told he no longer worked for the company. We were told either pay the money or we turn you over to collections. A couple weeks later, we received a letter from a collection agency. Also they do not give any guarantee of the service they provide. read more

Been with the company for years and had no issues. The last few months it's like pulling teeth trying to get spiderwebs swept. When calling they are offering for someone to come back out but at the same time they try to upsell your service to charge you more money. read more

Then they had the audacity to RENEW the service without my permission or knowledge, all supposedly on line which I haven't received yet! Nvirotect does not provide the service that you pay for, weed control and pest control, etc. My grass died and all they did was blame it on drought even though we had a full year of rainfall in one month and the area was fully covered by sprinklers. Weeds and sedges were out of control and their pre-emergent weed control, that they tout, was non-existent. What you are paying for is someone to water your lawn once a month. They never send out a supervisor to address complaints and always want you send in photos of the area instead of properly addressing the problems. If you engage this company you are just wasting your money and your time. They will damage your property. Do not allow them on your property. read more

We stopped using Nvirotect for our lawn & shrubs because frankly, we haven't seen any improvement in our lawn or shrubs since we started using them. They are totally inflexible in pricing and frequency, despite being long time customers. For example, they insist in coming monthly, even during the time of the year when the grass & shrubs are dormant. And when we asked if we could change to every other month, they quoted a rate that was $15 more than our monthly rate. So, we're going elsewhere. read more

If there was a negative score to give I would happily choose that option. Quite possibly the WORST lawn "care" provider I have ever come across. Their slogan should be "We'll destroy your lawn faster than anyone in town". Please don't be fooled by the shiny graphics on their vans and clever lawn stake signs (at least they got something right)...this company is the absolute worst. They charge a premium for what every other company in town considers standard and when they do a subpar job, they try to blame it on "uncontrollable weeds, crabgrass, blah, blah, blah). Don't take my word for it, let the pictures do my talking. As I told their very unprofessional V.P. of Operations..."I can kill my lawn for free. Horrible customer service! I had my yard sprayed on 5/18. My lawn company advised me I have "chinch bugs." I called NVIROTECT today and asked to speak with manager. I was advised that Service Manager is out until Wednesday and that only owner, Craig was there, but he doesn't talk to customers. I asked again to speak with the owner as he is the only one in mgmt on site and was told again: "Craig said he doesn't speak to customers so you'll need to wait until end of week to have someone look at your lawn. Are you kidding me?! The owner of the business can't speak with customers? He wouldn't have a business if it wasn't for customers. He needs to humble himself. Don't use this company! read more

This company truly cares about the people they service. I have use them for my lawn service for several years. Over the last week I had hundreds of yellow jackets on my magnolia tree. I contacted them and they were at my home the next day. The Wildlife division of there company handles these type of problems. My service tech, Chris Badalment, was pleasant, kind and knowledgeable. After assessing our problem he informed me that the cost for the treatment was $399.00. I was very upset, since we are on social security. Chris contacted the owner of the company, Craig, and was advised only to charge us the $99.00 service charge for our service. I was so surprised that I felt like crying. It is so very refreshing that there are still companies like this who still care about people and not the dotted line. Thank you Nvirotect. Back in late July a gentlemen came out to my home to start the initial pest service for ants that I had both inside as well as climbing over my house outside. At the time I signed up for the year service in good faith that their service would actually work. They laid traps and sprayed inside and outside of my property. He said it would take about 2 weeks before I would see a change. Well by August I was still seeing the ants, they came back out to spray again. In late Oct they wanted to schedule for the next round of service but I refused since they never provided the service from the first two visits. I would not allow them back onto my property I instead requested they cancel my service since clearly it was NOT working. Fast forward to this month, since I would not pay the initial $150. for services NOT rendered, they have sent me a bill for $463 which I of course refused to pay so now they want to send me into collections! Absolutely amazing! So even though the name says pest control, they do all the outside stuff - principally lawn care maintenance. They're the sister company to NVirotect, which does your typical indoor / outdoor pest and termite control whom have also been very good to us. Each and every time Neighborhood Pest Control has come out to our house, they've been highly professional, courteous, friendly and informative. The tech has taught me so much about sod / grass / lawn maintenance and what to look for in terms of potential diseases and bugs / pests. Lawn and Shrub division I would never hire this company to service a residential lawn. BAD office procedures. The company was hired to improve the lawn and help revitalize the backyard. Each month the lawn was deteriorating more and more, and each month the service tech said it will get better. Fast forward four months and now lawn is shot. I phoned the company for a reassessment, and someone came out a left a note on door. I called to cancel service, and the office person interrogated me over my lawn, it was a stupid conversation, and extremely unprofessional. I was agitated over the conversation, and said I will not pay the final bill of $55.00 due to dead lawn, and given too many chances to make it better. My husband phoned over the balance due and was promised someone would call him back. No phone call. Now the company has sent this $55.00 bill to collections. Christian and Nvirotect was the right service provider to help my family remove and prevent a rodent problem we developed. When Christian first inspected our home, he immediately identified several of our issues, including an entry point our new guests had created for themselves. Christian provided a complimentary fix to one of the obvious entry points. No gimmick or pressure sales tactic. He was sincere and authentic about helping us resolve our issue. Our service gameplan included "trapping" to address the guests that were currently in our home. Christian/Nvirotect showed up as promised to inspect the traps. He was very professional in our home and made my wife feel comfortable and reassured her that he would resolve the problem. After replacing our roof, Christian/Nvirotect, addressed every potential entry point (large roof). The work was professionally done (clean, seamless and painted afterwards). Additionally, as we addressed the last couple of guests in our home, Christian continued to address problem points inside our home until the last guest was trapped. I would be reminisced if I did not call out that Christian made himself available 24x7. When the last guest was caught, Christian was responsive to my wife's call and came over to address very early in the morning...proving he was true to his word. If I could give zero stars I would... Did Termite inspection for home we planned on purchasing. Long story short paid $290K for a home based on their inspection and on the 1st day found live termites in wood floor. So bought a home and price dropped 20% because of their negligence... Have been fighting with them now for over 3 months trying to remove them with no progress. They have never found any new termites, weve had to find them ourselves, hold their hand and show them where they're located. They tell us it takes time to remove but if they started the proper treatment asap maybe theyd already be gone as weve been here around 100 days and theyve been treating the property for approx 30 days longer..... Rude, horrible customer service also, Jody is very unpleasant to say the least. Drilled into patio for treatment and hit water pipe. Didnt repair back to original cause "it wasnt up to code." Than installed new pipe improperly and looks horrible and also installed it themselves NOT UP TO CODE. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! If you're looking to get locked into a monthly service contract and pay top dollar for poor service, then this is the company for you! I switched my lawn service after 6 months with GreenLife based on the recommendation of our landscaper...what a mistake! After a month of service with Nvirotect we now have weeds and the entire yard is infested with small moth-like bugs. I attempted to switch to another company based on Nvirotect's poor quality, but was told that I was locked into a 1-yr contract. I could stop service; however, I would still be liable for the 1-yr contract of $900. They wouldn't even let my prorate for the cost of the 1st application, which already cost me $100 for weeds and bugs. Additionally, they recommended to wait until the next month's application instead of correcting the situation right away. I highly recommend looking for other options before locking yourself into this overpriced and poorly run company. read more
