    Garlic Cheese Knots-3

Ordered online for a pick up. There were three ladies at the counter and one gentleman being helped. Literally they just pretended I wasn't there until I said "excuse me, I'm here for a pick up!" My pizza was so dry and THIN and barely even warm, I don't recall it being like this. Luckily I did order the cheese garlic bread and they were really good with the marinara sauce. But I will never come back. Poor service and even worse, bad cold pizza.

First time eating inside. Great service- pizza off the hook, and drink s were served cold. Always our takeout when in Phoenix and granddaughter wants pizza!

I have absolutely no idea what happened to this place. We thought we found the best pies in town but like all good things, it's come to an end. New chef? Owner died? What the heck happened?? They went from awesome, tasty, cheese covered heaven to raw, limp, cheese starved, tasteless wallpaper. The first time it happened we chalked it up to a fluke. Second time around, just as bad. Absolutely horrible. Almost no cheese, crust as white as grammas bare butt, and they couldn't even get the toppings right. Our search continues.

Great central location! Parking is a bit limited but okay. The pizza was amazing and the traditional wings upstate flavor were cooked crispy just how I like them. Service was great and the dining area is big. They do have great lunch specials Monday through Friday 11AM- 4PM. Bar area to enjoy your favorite beer on tap and watch your favorite sport.

After four years we came back. I'm glad I did, it seems like there is new management. We came in and got seated after a few minutes. The manager came over and greeted our table! They gave the kids dough to play with while we were waiting on our food which was super nice! The kids loved it, we actually just came back from the children's museum so that just added to their experience for the day. The waiter was very attentive. It was pretty empty inside. Very clean. The food took about 25-30 min. Food was hot , tasted good. The kids meals are a great portion size. The pizza bites on the kids menu is two slices of pizzas cut up, def not what we expected but still good and might order it for myself next time lol. Wings were average. My niece enjoyed her spaghetti & the garlic cheese rolls was perfect for everyone to share.

Raw chicken wings. Pray for me. If you can't cook chicken wings, can't cook anything. God speed to anyone else that gets these wings.

We came to this place for the appetizers. Bruschetta and garlic knots. The garlic knots are more like dinner rolls. You'll need to add this with ranch on the side. Buy yourself Virgil's Root beer from Sprouts to wash down this wonderful appetizer!

I love this location as its close to my house. I've been coming here forever since this location launched. I used to go to 20th Street behind the Best buy on Camelback. That is until I try to get a job there back in the 2000s. But that's not a knock on New York Pizza Department Pizza that's on the general manager that was there at the time but this location is awesome friendly vibe wonderful people and great aura and professionalism. Plus my FAVORITE former Pastor Lives in the Area So I ordered the my vinnies instead of doing a my za' the dude was smart enough to know that corporate usually likes to upcharge on certain things on their menu (also not a knock but it's a great sales tick )so I just chose to save a little money. The cook forgot to put kalamata instead of black olive and I had to wait another 7 minutes and I easily forgave them because this is my place and I will not be an asshat

Amazing, unique experience!…read more I arrived with the preconceived ideas about being jostled in long lines in a poorly cooled pizza joint, sitting in a crowded restaurant at plastic tables eating plastic food. That misconception disappeared immediately upon stepping through the doorway. Warm, inviting ambiance, full of character. Attending the birthday celebration for an esteemed young man, our table wasn't ready (we were early) and the hostess offered us seats at the bar while awaiting our party. We each had a wine spritzer... may I say that the very few such concoctions I've had bearing that name didn't do justice to what we were served. I've never had anything like this, a "Sgroppino" (I'm partial to strawberry!) and it was perhaps the best adult beverage I've had in a very long time. Many different nuances in a glass. Stunning subtle, many diverse flavors. Mmm. Our bartender was an artist of the mixed adult beverage, a delightful individual with a warm, genuine smile and an encyclopedic knowledge of how to do his job expertly. Rare that you meet someone like this who isn't all measuring cups and shot glasses: everything he concocted was done by eye, and judging by what he made for us, his expertise was immediately apparent. Ben fatto. È andata benissimo, brava. When we'd all arrived, we were escorted to the "garden shed"... a smaller out-building filled with racks of wine, perhaps an ideal place for small wedding receptions or engagement parties. Well-cooled despite our broiling Phoenix evening. We had the garlic bread; someone ordered IL Tagliere, Calamari (no, thank you), and a basket of bread. You know how you go to a hamburger joint and what you're served looks nothing like the photos of their menu? Go to CiBO's web site and look at their menu: What you see in their photos is what you get. One visit and next time you look at their menu online, you'll salivate. Yes, the food is that good. I ordered the calzone. Delicious. Getting through it wasn't pretty... but it was excellent. Huge, very generous entree. Excellent flavors. Our server was delightful, attentive without being a nuisance. Our water glasses never reached empty, and the stories about the birthday boy (and others) were never interrupted. We never made it to desserts. Too much food and amusing stories. CiBO: È andata benissimo, brava.

We ordered a couple of sodas and the same slices we ordered last time, pepperoni and vodka slices. The slices were delivered in no time! They were hot and crispy! I don't know what happened, but the quality just wasn't there. I could not taste the sauce on my pizza. It was non existent. It was like eating pizza bread with cheese and pepperoni. The Vodka pizza had no detectable sauce on it either. It also tasted just like cheese bread. I don't know if its because of different pizza makers or the new standard, but I was disappointed. I was very impressed last visit and even made a statement that the Vodka slice may be my new favorite. I was a little let down this time around!

You can also get a whole pie of your choice. They grate fresh parm on all the slices which I thought was a nice touch. The girl at the register seemed very knowledgeable about all the pizzas and gave us lots of details and recommendations which we appreciated. First we got the green, di Parma, and the Phoenix. The green has pistachios and fresh arugula on it, I thought the overall flavor was too sweet and the pistachios weren't crush enough. The Phoenix was good, very honey forward and overall the flavor didn't stick out to me. The di Parma was a cheese pizza with procuttio and ricotta, overall a little plain to me. I think they all would've tasted better hot, but I understand that's not super realistic for a slice shop. For our second order we got the vodka sauce slice, which was for sure my favorite. First of all it was piping hot, and that elevated the whole experience. I thought the sauce was so flavorful and savory, and the basil made a perfect bite. I would go back for a whole pie of this! I really liked the prices here, we got dinner for less than $25 for 2. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some other slices and get a pie of the vodka!

Lil Capo Pizzeria 5.0/5 The Closest Thing to New York…read morePizza I've Found in Arizona Growing up in Upstate New York, I admittedly have high standards when it comes to pizza. After moving to Arizona in 2007, I've spent years searching for a slice that genuinely reminds me of home. While there are plenty of decent pizza spots throughout the Valley, very few capture that authentic New York style. Lil Capo Pizzeria absolutely does! Ironically, I first discovered Lil Capo after an Arizona Cardinals game. Like many people, I wasn't interested in paying stadium prices for mediocre food, so I jumped on Yelp looking for something nearby. Lil Capo had outstanding reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because it's now my benchmark for New York-style pizza in Arizona. The first thing that stood out was the crust. This is exactly what a New York slice should be--thin, crispy on the bottom, slightly chewy inside, sturdy enough to fold, and never overloaded with grease. So many places think "New York style" simply means making a large slice. Lil Capo understands it's really about the balance of crust, sauce, cheese, and texture. Every bite reminded me why I miss pizza back east. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, the cheese is perfectly proportioned, and everything tastes fresh without trying to reinvent what already works. Sometimes simplicity executed well is the hardest thing to accomplish. Pizza: 5/5 Service was equally impressive. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. After selecting our slices, they quickly reheated them to perfection and had them on our table within minutes. It's exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizzeria--fast, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Service: 5/5 I also appreciated the atmosphere. Lil Capo isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. Instead, it has that classic neighborhood pizzeria feel where the focus stays exactly where it should--on making outstanding pizza. It's casual, comfortable, family-friendly, and somewhere you could easily become a regular. The pricing is another pleasant surprise. Considering the quality of the pizza and the generous slice sizes, I found everything to be very fairly priced. Overall Finding authentic New York-style pizza in Arizona has been surprisingly difficult over the years, but Lil Capo delivers exactly what I've been searching for. Authentic New York-style crust Excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio Minimal grease Friendly, efficient service Fair prices Comfortable neighborhood atmosphere I've eaten pizza throughout New York my entire life, and Lil Capo remains the closest I've found to the real thing anywhere in Arizona. Whenever I'm on the west side of the Valley--or heading to or from a Cardinals game--I find myself looking for an excuse to stop in. Next time, I'm skipping the slices and ordering an entire pie. If you're a fellow New Yorker living in Arizona and craving a slice that tastes like home, Lil Capo should be at the top of your list.

World-class pizza in AZ!…read more I have traveled the world and had many Pizzas, and this is hands-down one of the best pizza places I've ever experienced. Tucked away in the Westgate Mall, it's a compact, modern little spot that likely gets buzzing during the lunch hour.
