Pretty terrible experience. Walked in and weren't greeted until we got half way in. Leslie our server was super nice so thank you to her. Ordered wings and they were stone cold. Got 12 wings for $21 with two different flavors and both orders were completely cold. Not warm, cold. My girlfriend ate two wings because she felt bad but couldn't anymore after that. It's Wednesday so I don't expect it to be packed but it was dead. 2 other tables occupied besides ours so you'd assume our wings would be fresh.... Would I come back here? No I wouldn't. would I recommend it? No I wouldn't. Managers could do better by checking in with customers that are unsatisfied after it being brought to their attention because we did kindly inform Leslie that the wings were cold which she was able to remove $5 off the bill and give us our drinks for free which is great, thank you. But wasted $16 on wings that got thrown away. Was offered to have them re heated but I wasn't really in the mood to have my wings microwaved. Also don't get the cheesy garlic knots. read more

It was a good experience overall. Nothing really stood out to us on our visit. I think they were short staffed on the day we visited since we had to wait about 10 minutes before we got our menu and drinks. The server got our order wrong but we didn't have the heart to tell her since she seemed under pressure already. The food we did receive was good but like I mentioned it wasn't "the best we ever had". The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of parking. We might give this location another try in the future and will update then! read more

NYPD Never Disappoints On every visit to NYPD I am seated promptly and the service is always outstanding. There has never been a time where I had to wait for anything and the staff at NYPD is very accommodating. As a New Yorker I can be pretty picky when it comes to my pizza. I really enjoy a good slice of New York style pizza folded in half and loaded with toppings and NYPD never fails me. NYPD serves up an authentic pie with just the right amount of Oregano and Basil seasoning. On top of the fabulous sauce NYPD never skimps on ingredients. This pizza has lots and lots of toppings and your leftover pizza is even better tasting the next day when reheated, you can't say that about just any pizza. I am never disappointed with NYPD I guess that's why I keep on coming back for more. read more

Came in for lunch and they had some lunch specials. One slice of pizza for $2.99 or a slice and a salad for $6.49 and up depending on what type of salad you want. I chose the cheese pizza and the house salad which had greens, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. They offered various salad dressings but I just wanted olive oil and vinegar so I could dress the salad myself. Unfortunately, NYPD as most places, pushes the balsamic vinegar. Not everyone likes it. I prefer the red wine vinegar or even the white. Not having either of these vinegars, I opted for their zinfandel vinaigrette which turned out to be very good. The pizza was New York style cheese pizza. It was good. The service was fine and I was served quickly considering that there was a lunch crowd. I would definitely return. read more

I went in on March 28th at 7:30pm (they close at 8:30) and the pizza was ok but the employees were rude. They wanted to go home early and as people came in they would tell them they were closing early and as they would leave the lead employee would cheer to the others. As we were finishing up they stood in front of our table pushing us to finish so we would leave. I use to love their pizza but we wont be back!! This is another eatery on 7th Avenue and McDowell. Close to work and lots of other selections but NYPD has a great lunch selection at a great price. Pizza is always great! Brooklyn is my favorite. But you do have to order the crispy mozzarella if they have it it is the bomb! Service is always friendly and with a smile. read more

Ordered a pizza online @ 7:50 pm and got an email back saying pizza would be ready in 60 mins. A little longer than I wanted to wait, but no big deal. Get a call from NYPD around 8:45 pm, saying they had been closed since 8pm (Google Maps said they closed at 9) and that my pizza was waiting to be picked up. Arrived a few mins later to pick up a lukewarm (borderline cold) pizza that had probably been ready for at least the last 30 mins. Why (1) online ordering defaults to 'ready in 60 mins', (2) let's you order 10 mins before the place closes, and (3) the staff are too lazy to call you when the pizza is actually ready, is beyond me. $30 for a cold, overpriced pizza - will not be coming back unless it's my only option. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE GREAT!!!!!!!! I'm a reoccurring customer that has never had any complaints. First time ever they got confused on me picking up verse delivery. I called places my order waited an hour called back, to check because it never takes long. They where waiting for me to pick up. Well my husband said he would go get it cause my son was acting like he was dying from starvation The manager called back apologized for the mix up and comp our order. First time diners and more than likely last. Atmosphere was cool, a mix of people. Crew was pleasant and on top of everything. For that I'd rate . Ordered two slices of pizza & spaghetti and meatballs. Looked appetizing but as I got 3/4 in to the spaghetti, sauce is very watery. Literally a puddle of semi sauce water at the bottom of the bowl. Meatballs were mushy on the inside and the garlic knots were soggy. I'm not one to waste food so I ate about half but wasn't all that pleased. Pizza was average and to me over priced for one topping. Left this establishment fine and about 10 min after getting home....tummy didn't like anything :/ Feeling fine all day before coming here. Such a shame I didn't look up reviews before hand. Our server Christine was great. The food's just as good as it is in Scottsdale. I like their Sicilian-style pizzas. There's a bit of a wait (20 minutes for the za's when the place doesn't look too busy) but the pizza at the end is worth it. read more

The food is always good when they get it right, however, they have lied to many times. Two times in the last year they have just made the pizza wrong. We called and they said we will mail you a gift card.... nothing came. We had a birthday party were we ordered around $250+ of pizza, food was great. However, there was promotion for a % back in a gift card... nothing came again. Don't offer specials and make promises you cant keep. We will not be going back and I would recommend not listening to there "gift card/vouch" scam. read more

I still stand behind the awesome quality of the pizza, the props for having vegan cheese, and the good service... but I had to update my review to give major props to the delivery service. I ordered online several hours ahead with a delivery time of 5:45. I wasn't sure how well it would work, but to my delight the delivery driver knocked on our door exactly at 5:45. We were contacted by Nikki of NYPD and asked to give them a chance to make things right from our previous poor experience. Everything about this visit was up to par and definitely exceeded expectations. We were greeted promptly and kindly by a young guy with dark hair and glasses. He seated us in a booth and Ami was our server. She was friendly and sweet to my son, took our drink order and returned quickly with iced teas and lemonade for my son. After we placed the order, Ami said she would have the appetizer, salad and kids meal out quickly, but the pizza would take about 25 minutes. No problem. All the food was delivered well within her quoted time frame, without seeming rushed or harried. Everything was tasty and Ami was on the spot with drink refills. We had a very pleasant experience, thank you for giving us the opportunity to see the good side of this NYPD location. read more

I've ordered from here before with no issues. A friend recommended to try their wings. Ordered boneless wings and the size of the wings was way smaller than I expected. We've eaten at this NYPD a few times over the past few years; it's not our closest location, which is in Avondale. This is our favorite local chain. Our experiences here have been good. The waitstaff is pleasant and attentive. When we visited this past Saturday, it was in the middle of the afternoon and quite empty. We were told our food would be out in about 20-25 minutes, and that was dead-on accurate. My husband loves the Mott Street Meat Lover Pizza; the meatballs are fresh and divine. I almost always get the small Soho Salad Pizza. This particular time, the crust was a touch tough, but it was still delicious and the salad had just the right amount of dressing mixed in. Plus, we were there during happy hour, so my husband happily had their ale from tap. The parking lot immediately behind the restaurant is small, but if you drive behind the building there is a larger connected lot. read more

We rolled into town late, after a very long day on the road. We called ahead for pickup. I walked in, about 10 minutes before they closed, and our order was hot, ready, and ready to go. I was impressed! They probably had 15 other orders also ready to go. The staff was helpful, pleasant, and organized. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The pizza was delicious, to boot! I will never eat at this one again. I will go to the other one on Camelback. The calzone I ordered didn't have any meat in it just all cheese. I live to far to take it back. Then as I was walking outback I seen the RAT trap box outside so that tells me they have rodent issues. I will not be back thank you but no thank you. read more

Because I'm an Arizona Sports radio fan, I hear NYPD Pizza commercials and promos all the time. So tried the downtown location for lunch one day. I loved the atmosphere. Felt on par with other modern-retro-industrial look and feel of restaurants today. We were called "boys" as the wait staff made their best impressions of New Yorkers. Didn't mind one bit. Got the basic 2 slice and a drink combo of the lunch specials. Paid 10 buck that included tip. All together the bill glass a bit over 7 dollars. The crust was a perfectly thin which was crunchy but yet soft. Didn't like the "no gun" signage on the front door. If you carry, you might not want to go here. I normally don't support those that do not support the 2nd amendment but will make exceptions from time to time. Politics aside, excellent pizza which deserves 5 stars! read more

We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). Ok so listen to this. We ordered a pizza from this place and when we came to pick it up the order got lost. Then they cooked a new one as fast as they could and guess what..... They cooked the wrong order!!! So at this point a district manager was there and got involved so we thought "great someone's going to get something correct". WE WERE WRONG! This lady who's name is Nikki told us that that it was our fault and must have called the wrong store or something then told us If we weren't happy then we could go eat somewhere else. WHAAAAAAAAAT!!!! unbelievable this company has a person representing them this way....and let me just say, that the way she spoke to us was with an angry impatient demeanor. I am just in utter shock. First time coming to this restaurant, always went to the one in Peoria but they have closed this location, what a shame. The food was very good, so no complaints on the food. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because of the manager on duty on this day and time. He was very nice, but the problem was I went to the restroom and he was coming out, which happens to be a one person room, thank goodness he did wash his hands, I would assume because the sink was a mess, water was everywhere and I mean everywhere. He should have noticed and wiped the sink before he left just as a courtesy to the next guest. Since he was the manager on duty at that time he has to pay attention even to the minor details as an example to his staff.
