We've been coming here for years, and always enjoyed our meals, whether it was dining in or takeout. Tonight we placed a to go order consisting of a small sausage pizza, a side order of sautéed broccoli rabe, and a side order of sausage. The pizza was terrible. It was dry, with very thinly sliced bits of sausage on it, and was not what we've grown accustomed to. My husband wound up throwing it out. The side order of sausage was sliced too thin and was drowning in red sauce. We didn't ask for it in red sauce, and removed the sauce. That left us with tasteless sausage. We added garlic and oil in an effort to give it some flavor, but the sausage was so dried out. It was like eating jerky. another wasted order since it was tossed in the trash. Whether it's a problem in the kitchen this evening or something ongoing I can't say. I'm hoping to hear from the owners in reply to this review so that we can evaluate whether or not will continue going or will call it quits. read more

Note: this is a takeout review, hopefully will come here in person to experience dining. We ordered out from here on Saturday June 21st 2025 for some dinner in which we were at a friend's house for. Upon looking over the menu, and based on our friend's recommendation, we decided on here. We ordered a box of penne ala vodka, 2 boxes of salads, sicilian pizza and a 1/2 meatball and sausage pizza. This was my first time trying the food, and I thought their pizza was very good, as well as the pasta and salad. Food was picked up, and ready on time. We had a great night! Shout out to the hostesses--they were super friendly and got us checked in with zero hassle. We did end up waiting at the bar for almost an hour, but honestly, the bartenders barely noticed we were there and it took a lot just to get their attention. That part definitely needs work. But as soon as we got to our table, everything changed. Madelyne was incredible! She was on top of everything, super sweet, and made sure we had everything we needed without us even having to ask. The food was awesome as always, and my niece (who's been here a bunch of times) said this was her favorite night thanks to Madelyne. I could not believe how fantastic the pizza was! We are from NJ and just bought a house in Myrtle Beach so of course we were concerned that we wouldn't find authentic pizza but this place absolutely changed our mind! They have a wonderful menu which also includes pasta, salads, and great appetizers! We shared the hand cut french fries which came with ketchup, a garlic mayo, and a pesto mayo which were amazing. I had the classic cheese pizza with black olives. My wife had a salad with crunchy breaded chicken. Both were amazing. They have a great cocktail and wine list. We will definitely be back! read more

The food in this place is average at best and it is overpriced. We had overcooked calamari, overcooked fries and not a great pizza. This place only seems to take reservations and not walk-ins, which is frustrating on its own. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even when they do have a spot available, it's usually right by the front door. Nobody wants to sit there trying to enjoy a meal with constant foot traffic coming in and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is also very small and super loud, which makes it hard to relax or have a conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizza is decent best the overall dining experience just isn't enjoyable enough for me to want to come back. read more

Just want to update my review because this place deserves it. My initial review was during their first couple weeks open, and I can def say I was quick to judge. We came back a couples times after and their wings and carbonara just hit different. So creamy and flavorful. The wings idk why they taste so good but they do. Square pizza is decent, round pizza is so so. They charge full price for half-toppings. My 4 half topping pizza (2 toppings) cost $40.

Super yummy ! We visited for dinner, party of 6, and it was easy and quick service. They give free bread and olive oil and butter. 1st week open and it's a Friday night. Busy busy busy. Located in the Publixs parking lot at The Mill Plaza off River Oaks. Now it's 6 pm and they are turning away customers that are trying to place to go orders because the kitchen is so backed up. I was told the kitchen is open till 10 pm and close the doors at Midnight on Friday and Saturday. Wow! Sounds crazy to turn away customers. We had the fried calamari and a large cheese pizza. The calamari was overcooked. Inedible. The pizza on the other hand was delicious. Crispy bottom crust and a wonderful sauce and cheese blend. I'm just confused that this isn't their 1st pizzeria...why the confusion and choas with the flux of incoming customers? It appears to be a fine dining Italian establishment with pizza on the menu. We really have enjoyed this restaurant before,and have had great food and pizza. Unfortunately our last visit may be are very last visit. My meal was average and my wife's chicken parm gluten free went from her favorite anywhere to below average. CHICKEN was tough and the portion was very small compared to our other take out visits. So tonight we visited River Oaks Pizza for dinner. We have been here several times in the past and service and food were good. Not great but good, enough for a bite because it is on the way home. Tonight was an eye opener. Service did not start out well female blonde waitress not very personable, it goes down hill from there, hubby's dinner garlic and oil linguine came out and the garlic was burnt, he explained this to the waitress she didn't seem to care tried to say that's how it made he said no I don't want the garlic burnt. Came out with the food seemed like it was the same food just put a little different garlic and picked out some of the burnt. As he was eating the 2nd go around a long blonde hair (waitress had long blonde hair) was in his food. He showed the waitress she said no one in the kitchen has long hair he said it's not mine I have no hair. She didn't apologize, manager too busy tending bar with a bartender who was doing NOTHING manager NEVER CAME OVER to talk to us he was busy. They also raised their prices again. Go elsewhere obviously they don't take any pride in the quality of the food nor do they care about their customers. If we could a zero rating we would. It's just a factory now. read more

Almost $100 for 3 pizzas and a meatball appetizer which is way overpriced. We had a plain cheese pizza, a pepperoni pizza and a buffalo chicken pizza. Others in our party had pasta, the portions looked like a good size. Their online menu shows calzones and cheese rolls, but we were told that was for take out only. Delicious !!!! Just had an order to go with calamari and two pizzas The Fig and Goat cheese pizza and The Truffle Mushroom pizza. Both were off the charts and absolutely delicious !!! The Calamari was also great and tender. I also peeked inside while waiting for the To Go order and the place looks great ! We had two pasta dishes for a total of $50. My husband had the baked ziti (they call it something else) and it was decent. I had spaghetti carbonara, it smelled terrific. Unfortunately, the first bite had a hair in it. After a bit the server came back, I politely told her and she took it to get remade. They were busy, but I expected a remake to be pushed to the front of the line. It was not. My husband was done by the time I received the remake so I took it to go. The server offered a complimentary dessert, but we declined. I was surprised we did not receive a visit from the manager to apologize, the server was nice about it. After a few trips I have to say it is a brave concept--asking folks to pay a touch more for a highly competitive and common staple like pizza. But, this upscale pizzeria pulls it off and all the extras you get make it a reasonable value--a nice interior environment that does not feel like a strip mall, excellent service, a reasonable enough combination of food quality and creative menu selection, a full bar with good cocktails, wines, and beers along with oils and bread service, etc. The food is good. Combining it with all the intangibles makes this spot great. We will be regulars. Please keep a proper Belgian Wit cold! read more
