This was our 1st time there, we heard so many good reviews about them we had to try it for ourselves .5 of us went there on a Friday at their businessest time. We got a table, and ordered via the QR code on the table. It took awhile for our food to come, but hey they were super busy. The wait was worth it. For Our Taste Scotto's is by far the best pizza we've had in the Myrtle Beach area. We had the Sicilian tri color pizza, the Scott special pizza, a cheese pizza, a white pizza and chicken parm. All were excellent. Lena the owner stopped by our table to see how everything was and gave us a little history of Scotto's. Very nice person. The food was good - we liked them BUT then we recently ordered a pizza. My husband went to pick it up and I gave him my debit card to use. It was ready when he walked in. I looked at the receipt and noticed there was a $3.00 tip on there. I asked him why he tipped them when it was a pick up order. He said he didn't. Called them and they were rude, said he authorized it, didn't care that he reiterated that he was never asked if he wanted to leave a tip, etc. it's bad enough that they charge you their processing fee when you use a debit or credit card but now they arbitrarily sneak a tip on take-out and then act like he knew about it. So we will never go there again - will NOT recommend it. Too bad they lost a good customer over $3.00. I'm responding to the business owner comment below. Perhaps you should not argue this point...as he tried to explain that he was not aware of your process. A good business would perhaps apologize for the situation...maybe this has happened with other customers. You know, customers who patronize your business. You were wrong and handled it poorly. We have some friends that absolutely swear by Scotto's, so much, they order Scotto's at least once a week. And, being in the area, we did a take out order and finally gave them a try. We're were glad we did. The woman on the phone that took our order was easy to understand and very friendly and she was the same in person! We had a coupon from the Attractions Coupon Book (a book you must buy---not a freebie) and she was 100 percent familiar with it and she gladly accepted from us without issue and she executed the coupon discount quickly and accurately. Scotto's is located a few doors down from the CF Food Lion and is on the corner. Plenty of free parking lot parking. They do all kinds of pizzas and Italian specialties and they also have a set up to order online. Of course they have wings too. One nice thing is they also do slices at the ready so you can just drop in whenever and grab a slice or two. We ordered two different small sausage rolls (1 is definitely large enough for 1 adult to eat as a meal. These rolls and basically meat and cheese and pizza dough. They're served with a generous amount of tasty and warm marinara on the side. We found them to be very cheesy and also meaty. The dough was super soft and was obviously fresh. We would definitely order these again. A handful of tables for which you can sit and eat are available. We knock off 1 star because of high prices. Nothing at Scotto's is cheap. They're definitely making money here and prices are quite a bit higher than the deals you'd get at say Domino's Pizza etc. Interestingly, they close at 8 pm every day and are closed entirely on Mondays. read more

We found Scotto's while on vacation. You order as you enter the restaurant, the staff (owners?) are quick speaking, knowledgeable , helpful, and friendly. The restaurant is clean. We ordered a 1/2 and 1/2 medium pizza which came out quickly. The crust is thin and had a wonderful crunch, the sauce had a fresh tomato taste, the mushroom and tomato were fresh. Wrong order, inedible food, manager hung up on me We hadn't eaten a real meal in two weeks after being sick. This is what we finally got. Order was wrong on pickup. My husband, after already driving 15 minutes, had to wait another 20 minutes for a remake. What came out wasn't worth either wait. Barely any meat. Barely any cheese, and what was there wasn't even melted in, just dropped on top. Nothing hot or melted together as a cheesesteak is supposed to be. Bread so thick and hard it overpowered the sandwich completely. Fries were stale and clumped into a solid mass, clearly sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I called to explain, calmly. The manager hung up on me. I called back multiple times to even get him back on the line. He told me the food was "fresh," said I needed to drive it back myself, and refused a refund. Wrong order. The pizza was good and garlic knots were awesome and a very good price. I had a chicken Caesar wrap and it came out very warm, even the lettuce was hot it took away so much of the Caesar dressing flavor and very disappointing. I had to take it home and put it in the fridge then eat it. Service was okay there was an older lady with brown hair upfront who was not friendly but everyone else was friendly. Avoid if you value service or hospitality I am very disappointed by the lack of "Southern Hospitality" here. We weren't even greeted when we walked in; instead, the staff ignored us to help someone who arrived after we did. We actually had to ask if it was counter service or table service. To make matters worse, our four dinner items came out at completely different times. My husband was halfway through his wings before my lasagna even arrived. While the wings were good, the lasagna was the worst I've ever had--flavorless sauce, almost no meat, and a strange ratio of mostly cheese. To top it off, they began vacuuming and sweeping right next to our table while we were still eating. Eating in a cloud of dust is unacceptable. No one checked on us once. I called our order on the way there and it was ready when we go there. We decided to eat a slice while it was fresh out of the oven before we took it home and as usual, the pizza was delicious. Our family of 4 needed something near the hospice house where my dad was. We ordered two pizzas. None of us loved it. It wasn't as "NY style" as we are used to. We prefer Gino's in CF to this, but honestly, Toffino's is the best in my opinion. The family found the sliced sausage to be strange, as we are used to crumbled. Wife and I have a condo in Myrtlewood and wanted some lunch so I went on Yelp I was in the mood for a meatball sub so I did a searching Scotto's came up, it want far from our unit. I drove over and was surprised that they had pizzas by the slice not many place do this, I ordered the meatball sub and an order of onion rings to go. Didn't take long, while I was waiting I looked at the premade pizzas they really look good I will have to come back and try some of them out.. I got back home and opened the back to share with my wife the sub smelled great even the bread looked really good, a small piece of meat was on the paper after I decided the sub in half so I had to taste. Wow it was really tender and tasty, the meatball are perfect size and they give you enough. The sauce is also very good and not a lot of cheese but just enough, now the onion rings. They give you a huge order, which is great but don't over cook them so much!! They could actually do half the order cook them properly not burnt and hard and it would be plenty for an order, the other half are just way over cooked and soaked in grease. They are excellent onion rings have a great taste and I will order them again but next time I'll look before leaving and if they look like they did I'll get a new order. We have lived in the area for just over a year now. We found Scotto's shortly after arriving and have loved their pizza. Recently however, the pizza has changed and we have been disappointed. Pizza seems smaller (and owner has confirmed this) but pizza also seems to be thin crust. Would love to have the former version back for sure! read more

I have to give them 4 stars even though I've heard that this place has the best pizza you'll ever try. We plan to come again and try other pizzas to see if we like other options better. We ordered Scotto's special and the vegetable pizza. Scotto's pizza was very flavorful with the peppers and onions. The vegetable pizza was very bland to us. None of the toppings really had much flavor, but if you are looking for a very mild tasting pizza, then this might be for you. When we're up in Myrtle visiting family there is usually a bunch of us with the nieces and nephews so pizza is a go to lazy dinner for the group. This time we opted for Scotto's which has a great name right off the rip. Next up, the pizza was great! Just a note: CLOSED September 9th and reopen on September 11th for a family wedding. A great pizza choice! Fantastic thin crust pizza in 3 sizes. The small is good enough for 2 people. The medium is a large elsewhere and forget about the large, whoa!!! Bring your appetite. Great crust, great cheese blend, great sauce. I'll preface this by saying I am in MB on vacation from NY, that is supposed to have the best pizza in the country I guess, but I've had better in Philly and Boston. However, I certainly didn't think I'd find any comparable in the south, until now. I read the reviews on Yelp and they were great for the most part. I didn't encounter any of the negative experiences that any reviews mentioned, which is good. That being said, I will start you with my pros: it smelled amazing walking in the door of the place and it was the absolute best pizza I've had in A LONG time. The cheese was flavorful and the crust was perfectly cooked - soft yet crispy edge. The marinara for the calamari was that which I imagine coming from an Italian grandmothers kitchen on Sunday..and I don't much care for red sauce normally. Cons: toppings were $2 extra each so a large regular cheese pie is reasonably priced at $16, add the XCheese, pepperoni and onions you're up to $22, and I fear to think what the cheese would've looked like had I not ordered extra cheese. The crust was VERY thin so it probably wouldn't have held up to more cheese anyway. The crust wasn't crispy thin so that is a plus (I hate crispy). Next the calamari ($14 yikes), I was disappointed to see there weren't any 'legs', those are my favorite and was expecting them based on the picture on the website that looked realistic as opposed to a stick photo. So we have a bunch of rings that were crispy on the outside but rubbery on the inside. Maybe because we got them to-go but I think they should've held up to a 7 minute ride back. Would not recommend these for take out. Lastly was the personality of the woman who helped me..I warn you to not ask if they are related to the (Rosanna) Scotto's who are in the food/restaurant business in NY. Maybe she hears that question often and I should've known better, but I was just trying to make small talk being that they are from NJ. Long story long, I would highly recommend this establishment. Pizza does well for take-out and I completely understand the reviews that said they drive 40 minutes just for it. The -1 star comes for the not-so-great, pricy calamari and annoyed tone of the woman I spoke to. read more
