Stopped in for a quick bite on a rainy day. The food came out quickly and was tasty, was happy to be able to leave with some leftovers due to the generous portions. The service was friendly as well. Maybe it was just me, but I was initially confused with the layout, I think they could be a little clearer that you order at the counter because initially it appeared to be a sit down restaurant. Also I feel like there should have been a free water dispenser because paying for bottled water always rubs me the wrong way.

We had dinner tonight at NYC Indian Grill as it was one of the few establishments open on Christmas night. The four of us agreed it was an interesting evening for sure. When we arrived, the place was busy and most tables were filled. We expected a normal sit-down experience based on the look of the restaurant but it was more like a cafeteria system. You order at the counter and then eat at a table. We were a little put off by the use of plastic silverware and paper plates based on the cost of the meals. We ordered the Butter Chicken, Lamb Korma, Shrimp Curry, and Shrimp Biryani. I know they were busy and good food takes time, but it took almost an hour to get our food. The food was definitely worth it, but make sure you have time to wait if you stop in. The spice level was on point for me, I'm sure they could have added some more heat if I asked, but I felt it was done well. Some of my friends thought it (Shrimp Curry) was a bit spicy but still palatable. The biggest issue we faced, not entirely on the fault of the establishment, was the 27 member party that came in just before we got our food. There was some issue with a misunderstanding about reservations or a call-ahead and there was no room for them. Instead of having one person come in, the entire party came in and milled around the tables while they argued. It was loud and uncomfortable. They kept bumping into people trying to eat and were generally insufferable. My only complaint with the staff here is that they did not intervene to avoid disrupting those of us who were already seated/waiting/eating. The food really was excellent. Really 5 stars if judging the food alone. We all agreed that we would love to have it again but also agreed that it seems more like a take-out restaurant charging sit down prices. The canned/bottled drinks, plastic cutlery, paper plates, food served in to-go containers, higher than average prices, and lack of initiative in dealing with rowdy/rude customers are what led to my giving it 3-stars. I plan to wait until a calmer time after the new year to try again and will change/update my rating accordingly.

We stopped at this restaurant after completing an escape room nearby. It appears to be a sit down restaurant, but you actually order food at the counter. Even though we were dining in, our food came in plastic and styrofoam containers with styrofoam plates. When we ordered water we were given bottles of water. I was bothered by the amount of waste in this business model. We enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and the chicken biryani was tasty but the raita it came with was not my favorite. I was also surprised that the "medium" level spice was almost no spice at all. On the plus side the staff checked on us frequently and was very friendly. The restaurant was also very clean.

Tried NY Indian Grill. Good Indian food! So many dosas to choose. They clearly list many, many allergies that they can accommodate, which rocks! Lots of gluten free options. Had a great time there.

You can immediately feel how happy and welcoming everyone is the second you walk in. Even the customers were smiling, chatting, and being kind to each other... it just felt like one of those places people genuinely enjoy being in. I ordered the chicken halal over rice and baklava, and I'm already thinking about when I can go back The baklava situation alone deserves its own review because you get four pieces in an order and can mix flavors. I tried the chocolate and pistachio baklava and both were unreal. Their dessert display should honestly come with a warning because everything looks amazing. Huge thank you to Jorge and Saiyu for being so welcoming to me my first time there. I recently moved nearby, so finding a spot with great food and great energy made me ridiculously happy. Safe to say this is officially going to be my "bring everyone here when they visit" place.

The place is very clean, with a counter with high chairs, or 2 tables with chairs that you can sit at. There is a display of delicious looking desserts. I didn't try them but they looked great! I ordered: - Lamb tikka gyro - Lamb and beef platter The meats in both dishes were delicious. You cannot go wrong with ordering food here. I would order the white sauce on the side next time because it almost took over the food but other than that everything was great! The amount of food that you get is worth the price. Is it not expensive and you get a great value!
