Traded a few emails back and forth (they wanted to make sure they had the part at the location closest to me) and dropped off my phone on the way to work. Be careful! The price they tell you over the phone isn't the whole story!!! They'll only tell you about the $149 iPhone fix price, but will neglect to tell you that the $149 pays for a screen that's not a match to the regular iPhone screen. According to the tech himself, the $149 screen has a blue tint that the regular iPhone doesn't have. Why would I want details about a screen that doesn't match my original screen? I went there only to find out that the price for a screen that is actually identical to the iPhone screen is $185, which they neglected to tell me over the phone. I called the man back to ask why he didn't disclose this, and he said he usually doesn't disclose that price over the phone because "the difference is so small". Why would I want a screen with a blue tint??? When I called the man back to ask about this, he proceeded to give me attitude and eventually hung the phone up on me mid-sentence. Very sketchy. After T-mobile declined giving me a warranty switch because my screen was cracked and battery stopped charging I found this company through yelp. I must say what I read was absolutely on point. I was really worried that my phone wouldn't work again but took it to them and in about 10 minutes it was all set and back to life again, and they've very honest which is great!! The shared office space is very cool and you get an entrepreneurial feel while there. They fixed the phone in front of me so you know it is honest work. They work hard and have great customer service: they explain what needs to be done, how much it will cost and how long it will take. I work across the street and was gone from my desk for a total of 20 minutes, including elevator wait time. Fixed the cracked screen of my LG g3 in a couple of hours- I'm used to the fact that lg parts aren't always stocked so didn't mind that they couldn't fix it on the spot ( had to obtain it from elsewhere). Not cheap at $120 but I've heard it can cost even more elsewhere. Only downside was the wait in the morning for them to open shop. Contrary to the hours listed on their site, I was told the owner usually opens around 9:30. In my case it was almost 10 ( not 9!). Also be prepared to get a security pass in the MetLife building as the shop is actually ban office located in the building so can be a bit hard to find. Just ask the security staff in the building if you can't find where to go. read more

Had a great experience here today. My Samsung Galaxy 5S had broken glass to the point where underlying LCD screen was exposed in the top left corner. Phone was fixed promptly and so far (a few hours), is working great. Experience itself went as follows: Met with very nice woman (did not get her name) and was told the LCD and glass could be replaced for $189 in 25 minutes while I waited. (The other option was to just replace the glass for $139, I believe it was, and I was told that would take 4 hours, not sure why so long. I went with the LCD and glass replacement option because the LCD was exposed and was probably only a matter of time before it would start malfunctioning--all my speculation, not theirs.) The young man working on it, finished in probably 20 minutes while the woman and I chatted. Great experience overall. The phone was finished on time (early even), price was exactly what was quoted (I also bought a case and protective cover for new screen for a little more) and as mentioned, phone is functioning perfectly. One note on credit card payment. At the end there is an option to give a tip. I didn't expect that and ignored it. I have a little bit of a pet peeve with that sort of thing, but won't open that whole philosophical can of worms here! Unlike another customer below, I otherwise had no problems with credit card payment. I was charged only once and for the amount agreed to. Definitely follow the instructions on where/how to get to the office as described by another user below. I wish I had read that before I went in! One last thing, fyi, this company operates under a few other names: "I Repair Cracked Screens", "Manhattan iPhone Repair" and "I Can Fix it For You". Those are in different locations though. I cracked my screen, and went here to get it fixed after reading reviews. They told me that a cheap screen would start to peel off the body of the phone, so I opted for the $140 one. Didn't seem to be worth it however. It started lifting off the body, and cracked. I went in, and they told me that the last person to fix it did a really bad job, and asked where I got it fixed. I told them they did it, and produced a receipt showing it was them, yet they still seemed skeptical. They tried to talk me into getting a new battery, as dust and debris got in after the screen had lifted causing damage to the battery. I said no, and I was already pretty upset. So I got another screen replacement from them because mine was shattered. Another $140. Same thing happened. The screen is lifting off the body. I went back in, and told them, same thing with the receipt. They didn't believe that they had actually done this terrible job. They offered to glue down my screen, even though it would happen again, as the battery in iPhone 6 is too big for the body, so they claim, and it happens all the time. Hasn't happened to any of my friends or family that haven't gotten their phones replaced at this godforsaken "repair" store. TL;DR: They replaced my screen, messed up my battery, refused to take any responsibility, gave me another screen that was just as messed up as the one before. Seriously people, spend the few extra bucks and go to an apple store. At least there, the dude fixing it isn't watching Adventure Time while "fixing" your screen. read more

Highly recommend these guys! They fixed my cracked Samsung Galaxy screen a while back so when my wife cracked her screen, I knew who to go to. I went in with my wife's phone and was walked back to their office. When we got there, the guy (didn't even get his name) took a look at the phone and told me that it was my lucky day. I asked him what he meant (thinking that he was going to tell me that the replacement screen I needed was on sale or something) and he just peeled off the screen protector, threw it in the trash, and told me that the screen was fine. When he handed it back to me, sure enough, the actual screen was perfect! Now, they could've easily took the phone in, "fixed" it, and charged me $100 since I clearly didn't think to check the screen protector but they didn't. For this reason, if I ever DO need to replace my screen, I'm definitely going back to them. In my limited experience, they're honest people who don't seem like they're in the business of ripping customers off. read more

After having put up with a cracked screen on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and getting crazy expensive quotes, was happy to find a reasonable price and a Yelp deal on top of it. I brought it to NYC Mobile Device Doctors, thinking that the problem was a damaged charging port. They said the charging port was fine but that it was my charger that was broken. Upon this advice, I got a new charger at Best Buy and the problem is solved. They could have easily deceived me into 'repairing' the phone, but instead they were honest.
