Amazing service explain the issue with the charger breaking into the iPad, fixed it within 20 minutes

STAY AWAY, TERRIBLE. I came in with one cracked lens. The guy fixed it in 10mins, great. I TESTED out my camera and there's a black smudge. I took pictures all morning and the entire month with the cracked lens and NO smudge on my camera. If there was a smudge, I would've immediately got it taken care of quick. We argued back and forth, basically I paid for the cracked lens and I will have to PAY AGAIN $150 to get the camera part fixed. This SMUDGE was created by their employee when he was working on my lens. I asked if they can just redo it, clean it up or check. NOPE. $150 new camera or zoom in to .9x every time to avoid the smudge (JOKE) or go somewhere else. No accountability and it was either pay to get fix or leave. They blamed ME for having the smudge me. Please check other places first and see their options/process. Also please read negative reviews first as well. SO furious and scam artists. "Bring car in to change the oil and now gotta get a new engine". The manager, dirt bag DGAF. Don't get fooled. 100% scam. Same owners, two stores. I tried to work with them, I just want my camera to be fixed with no smudge, not even 50/50 or showing any decent customer service. Found this shop via Yelp to fix my cracked iPhone XR screen. I called to make sure they were open & could do the repair/see how long the wait was. Their website says an XR screen would be $109 but I was quoted $120 when I called, which is still a good price. Also, I was told the Yelp discounts are not applicable for their Kings Highway store. But they were quick, fixed my screen in 15 minutes. They even offered a screen protector but I was literally walking down the street to trade my phone in so i politely declined. They have a ton of phone cases and accessories for purchase. It wasn't super busy when I was there, a woman came in to pick up her phone and another return customer was in the store. Be careful! They stole money and did not completely fix the phone. I used the service at the beginning of this year, I needed to fix my iPhone 14 pro, my processor burned out as a result of which all the cameras did not work, after they told me the problem and put a price tag of 300 dollars, after they fixed it and I went there, they said that they did not completely fix it and needed another 200 dollars to make the 0.5 camera work, I refused. Also, the entire phone was reinstalled. About money - six months later when I went to the crypto wallet, without giving anywhere the data from the account, I saw the balance 0, I thought for a long time where the money could have gone, and I am sure that it was this service, since they had all the data, they stole about 900 dollars, never go there! read more

Hello again.....This place is so amazing that mere words would do them an injustice. I brought my iPhone 6+ in earlier today. I needed to back up my data to the cloud so that if my phone is lost, stolen, or broken, I could still retrieve my data with another iPhone. Again AJ took ownership of my issue. First he connected my phone to WiFi, then he walked me through the process that helped me get additional data since I was nearly at my data limit. He then set the phone down to let my data upload to the cloud. And didn't charge me a cent to boot. You're insane if you don't bring your phone to this great store. You won't be disappointed. I regret having to write this review but I want to share my opinion bout this store. Smartphone NYC Kings Highway location is close to where I live so I took my iMac 2017 model there for repair, yes they were courteous and very friendly. I took my iMac there not just for their free diagnostic but to have it fixed, my computer stayed there for a full week but no one called to tell me what was wrong with it or how much the repair will cost, I was very worried waiting all week I have very important files inside the machine. I finally went in one week later and Max tells me my computer can't be repaired? I dont know what kind of diagnostics they did it looks like the computer was not even opened, he mentioned something about not "being worth the risk" to change a logic board? or the hard disc? The risk to who? I was willing to pay for the repair. Over all it just looks like they just "Eyed Out " the damage and did not want to bother fixing anything and they never even opened the computer to check it, but on their website they do claim they can fix any brand computer because they are "Experts" In closing, I cannot recommend this place for computer repair it was a complete waste of my time for a full week of suffering! I now have to take it else where and will pay for a real diagnostic check up and where they will change parts. I don't know maybe for smartphones, cracked screens etc, this place is ok and friendly but not for computer repair. Their website is misleading that they are expert technicians.Thank you. read more

I initially came into this place of business to replace my completely shattered screen. I had dropped the unprotected phone on concrete and it completely shattered. I was in and out of the shop within 20 minutes with a brand new screen. The salesperson boasted that it was the exact same screen Apple uses. When I got back into the car, I realized that the top, left-hand side of my screen was not responding to touch and whenever I tried to scroll down, the screen would start zooming scrolling up. I did not have time to go back just then, but I kept the receipt for the next chance I had. Over the next week, I learned to try to only scroll using my right thumb on the lower part of the screen and I have to tap the apps on the top left hand side of the screen multiple times before they open. Three cracks had developed in the top left hand part of the screen, and the phone was NOT dropped, nothing fell on it... I would tell them if something like that happened. I went back into the store about a week later (give or take) and explained the problem to the same person. He said they couldn't fix it because there was physical damage as well. When I explained to him that the screen was so obviously not the same one Apple uses because it scratches a lot easier and cracks on its own, he completely played the deny, deny, deny game and then proceeded to give me a whole speech about how I shouldn't put the phone on its face and I need to get a cover and basically started pinning everything on me. Another salesman looked at my phone and tried to accuse me of dropping it, stating that there was physical proof on the phone itself that it had been dropped. He offered to fix the phone for "only $90 this time!" No, thank you. I have had some good experiences at this store but after this, I won't be coming back or referring anyone to you. I will be taking my business elsewhere, somewhere I can trust to do honest work for paying customers. read more

Came here to get iPhone 6plus screen fixed. It was pretty fast and it came out looking brand new. Only complaint was the pricing $160 + tax I did the yelp $35 for $50 coupon which helped a little but if you live close to an Apple Store get it done over there. It'll be cheaper, and it's %100 authentic Apple certified. Not bad place though if you don't live close to an Apple Store. Apple charges $129 + tax which adds up to about $140 This place without coupon is $160 + tax which will run you about $175 without the coupon. So while their work is good, their charging more than the actual Apple Store to fix your screen. read more

I broke my galaxy note 3 screen and found this place as it's not too far from me. Here is my experience: I had to redo my phone 2 times. First time: it took the store two days instead of two hours to "fix" my phone. When I received the phone back the glass was fixed but the phone had other issues. The speaker phone microphone did not work, the home button was depressed into the phone more than it should, and the front facing camera was blurry (most likely due to fingerprint on it). I should also mention that there were traces of glue on the phone, which tells me that the work was done lazily. Took it back for the re-repair and this time they did fix the home button and the front facing camera. The speakerphone still sounds bad but I will put up with it since I will get the note 4 in a few weeks through the jump program. Overall I can not recommend this place based on my experience. They need to put better care into their work. Customer service was alright so I will give it an extra star. read more

Came in here a month or two ago to get a case for my iPhone 6. I was shocked at the amount of choices I had to pick from. The employee working at the time was nice enough to go through all the options available. He was even patient with me trying some of them on. It turned out that the case I was interested in the most had a very tiny scratch on the back. The guy lowered the price by $15! Without a surprise I took the offer. He even offered to put on a screen protector for only $10; this included him putting it on himself. Overall, he did a good job with putting it on. I thankfully had no air bubbles. This place has cases for any phone you might have along with any accessories you might need; all for a very decent price! I came today with a completely crashed iPhone 5. I chose Smart Phone NYC after a thorough searching through Yelp. In comparison with all the nearest stores they provide the best offers and the best service (based on personal experience now). The guys were super friendly and more important - fast and professional. So it turned out that the home button is broken too - however the price was more then affordable, so I didn't even have a doubt. After 20 minutes altogether (including charging the phone for diagnostic) I left with a brand new looking phone and some cash left, cause I was planning to spend more. read more

This place charged me $90 for a cracked iPhone 8 Plus screen which is decently priced. The phone worked perfectly until I noticed a blue dot on the screen and the fact that my back camera won't work anymore. Before coming here the camera worked perfectly and now it only shows a black screen when I open the camera app. Greatly disappointed since I was going to leave a 5 star review before I noticed this. read more

The person helping was friendly and answered any questions I had. The store carries different phone accessories such as phone cases of many different varieties. The cases are displayed along both sides of the store. Additionally they sell screen protectors. Price to repair a screen is average at 120. This seemed to be the standard price after I called around a few places. Additionally they had a yelp coupon which I was able to redeem for 10 percent off. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I came to get my iPhone 6 screen replaced, paid $120. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because they were really cool and fast! However they did not do a good job with my phone. Ever since they "repaired" my screen I'm unable to use it while it's on the charger which is very annoying! Also when my screen is dimmed, this purple and white mark appears which is also very freaking annoying. I didn't go back. I went to a legit Sprint store and they did the job correctly.
