RAW STROMBOLI !!!!! It's not cheese it's dough
    Autumn N.

Stromboli's aren't popular in Dallas, so I chose this place to see how it would be . It looks closed on the outside, but it's indeed open and was empty inside. I ordered a Stromboli that took 10min, and to my surprise was completely raw inside. The cooks clearly don't check with a thermometer. The first bite was decent and after the 3rd bite I realized it wasn't fully cooked and returned the Stromboli. They remade it, and it was cooked all the way through the second time -- by a different staff member. They need to train their staff to follow the same procedures to prep before serving food that could make customers sick. I wouldn't recommend.

    Pizza By The Slice

Solid NY style pizza with the thinner, foldable crust. Pretty darn good sandwiches, too! Love that you can just have a slice or two on your lunch break. Question the cleanliness based on how dated everything is, but you can see them making your food and the prep areas do not look as bad as the dining area and bathrooms do. Staff is always friendly and service is quick.

I tried this place for lunch and the Big Apple sandwich stood out to me with it having 4 meats and 3 cheeses. Excellent sandwich with perfect meat/cheese to bread ratio. The real star of the show is the house dressing on the sandwich. I'm not 100% sure what it is but it is delicious and pulls all the flavors together.

Cold dry chicken for the grilled chicken salad. Not fresh at all. Likely not even cooked on the day it's served.

This place is absolutely terrible. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with honey mustard and a buffalo chicken sub from here. The chicken on both was soo dry and tough that it was inedible. They gave me regular hot dog mustard for my salad. The buffalo sub was not even a sub, it was dry and cold chicken on two slices of sandwich bread with some wing sauce lightly drizzled on it. I wasn't able to eat any of it. This was the worst service and food I've ever ordered for takeout. I requested a refund due to these major issues and it was denied. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

    Extra pepperoni pizza slice!

Great little spot for lunch and pizza by the slice! Nice people with a divey atmosphere.

I'm so excited this place was here when I passed by today. It's been so long since Ive been out this way. NYPD catered my wedding 19 years ago and I used to bring my kids all the time after. It's been about 10 years since I've been back---- it's still amazing! Such a staple and the bread is just the BEST! Subs, pizza, desserts- everything is so good. Please check them out and keep this great team busy with all your business! The seating area and ambiance is still the same and had the games on for those who need it.

    Disgusting Parmesan container

Got a Philly cheesesteak and it was terrible. Who puts minced beef on a Philly cheesesteak. Not to mention the place smells. Look underneath your Parmesan container. When you sit down your glued to the seat and rip away when you stand up. I want my $10 back for my "Philly cheesesteak". I'm calling the health department to inspect this place.

Amazing place! Great people, great service, and great food. Nice quiet atmosphere. I would be willing to make the 40 minute drive just to come eat here. I got the Soprano Sub that is the house favorite and it was amazing.

The guys that work there are so nice and friendly to everyone that comes in. This is my 2nd visit. The first time, I had pizza at the end of lunch and this time I had the Stromboli. I personally think the food is nothing to brag about but the service is so good, it makes me want to try it 1 more time. The Stromboli didn't have much meat especially to the other topping ratio and I'm not even a big meat eater. The wait wasn't too bad either and they had utensils, napkins and sauce in the box for me without any requests so that was small but nice.

I've been going to the national pizza chains for way too long. I wanted a real NY style pizza and one that had a homemade sauce and real quality ingredients. I miss one in Euless where the owner died (never reopened) and haven't had a local real pizza since. My daughter's friend's dad recommended NYPD and it was the BEST. PIZZA. EVER. We drive near NYPD almost everyday on the way home, we will be back for sure! I wish I could have taken the 22" home just for the OMG factor at home LOL! The pepperoni was thicker than the paper thin national chain ones and it's perfectly cooked. Not burnt like the other places!

    Meatball sub. Where's the sauce?

Ordered their Chicken Fettuccine (comes w/ a dinner roll) which was a hearty wholesome meal. Fresh hot & flavorful. I also had their fried calamari, nice crunch, freshly made and the marinara was not so overpowering. My daughter ordered their BBQ wings comes with fries & a drink which is not bad for $12.99...again nicely prepared. My husband got the Philly Cheese steak sandwich as a meal..bread lightly toasted but their meat, cheese & mushroom was fully filled in the bread. Everything here was pretty damn good here! Still being in the mood for pizza, I checked out what was in my area, and Dante's popped up. The reviews sparked my interest, so I placed an order. Where they're located, I had no idea they were there. I hope Dante's becomes a permanent fixture. What we ordered: Supreme slice and Pepperoni slice, side salad, and drink - They have several lunch specials that include a slice of pizza, a drink, and a side. What was interesting, when I got home, I had two supremes and not one of each. Even with that being said, their pizza is very good and the portions are HUGE! I ended up cutting them both in half. One slice can feed two people; they're that big. Based on the reviews, I'm looking forward to trying some other things in the future. If you're a pizza person, they are worth a try!

The business grew and he opened a handful of other locations around the country. Ambiance: The restaurant is casual, but had a lot of intentional use of the space. There were wine racks, and even a private room where they have pizza making classes ($195 per person ). Service: Our server was Michelle. She was so kind as we danced around the idea of sitting on the patio vs indoors. The patio only had about 2 seats and it was windy that day. We decided to sit inside. Michelle was very friendly, and came by often to check in on us. Food: The pizzas are made in-house and very thin, just like the ones I've had in Italy. They have traditional pizzas and their famous "star" shaped pizzas. We decided to order the star Carlos pizza. The pizza blended Spanish/Mexican and Italian cuisines together by mixing Spanish chorizo, avocado, jalapeño, with ricotta, fresh tomatoes, and Italian Parmesan cheese.
