I really Appreciated him working with us on that (especially with this economy :) I had 3 companies give me quotes, and Costa Turf, was by far the most reasonable (when you're on a fixed income, cost matters). Not just cost, but (in my case), Quality Matters just as much (I'm a retired Quality control Manager). Moises and his Team, were on time, and did an AMAZING Job!! Moises, was very easy to communicate with, and he answered all my questions and concerns. They completed my yard in a Timely Manner, and took the time to also clean up and wash down the front (driveway/gutters) when job was completed. However, our pool budget left us about 1000 sf of unfinished space (we have a pretty big backyard). We initially planned on covering that space with decorative rock, but after seeing numerous turf and putting green projects on IG, we knew that would be a way better option for us in the long run. RP Synthetic was top on my list after coming across their IG. I saw that they had 5 star ratings on Google & Yelp and decided to book an estimate with them. I also booked other estimates with a couple other companies, but Rigo was able to book us faster than the others. We had about 9 estimates done for our pool, so we honestly didn't have high expectations that the first turf company would check off everything on our list. Maaaaaan were we wrong. When we met Rigo, we instantly felt comfortable with him. No awkwardness, no weird vibes. When my husband told him what he wanted, Rigo instantly saw his vision. When we asked for his input, he only enhanced our ideas and made it even better. He was well prepared with tools to layout what the design would look like for us, and also brought samples of the turf so we could choose right then and there. The project resulted in poor workmanship, an unpermitted and unsafe fire pit/gas line installation, and an incomplete job. These issues raised serious safety concerns and required further correction. The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) investigated this matter and issued citations, including violations related to failure to obtain permits, departure from trade standards, and contracting with an expired license. The contractor was given an opportunity to correct the work, but the issues were not properly resolved and the project was ultimately abandoned. I strongly recommend verifying that the license on your contract is active, matches the contractor performing the work, and that all required permits are obtained before proceeding.
