    Chicken Basil Fried Rice
    Saniya H.

I will be back!! The food came out quickly and they were accommodating for my gluten allergy. I tried their chicken basil fried rice. It was delicious and the portions were a decent size for 1.5-2 people depending on how hungry you are. I'll be back to try other things!

Solid. Dependable. Hot Fresh Wok. Open Kitchen. Always busy, flagrant. A go-to spot during the work week. Convenient, short waits, tasty, fair pricing. I realize different type of cuisine/food/region can demand different cooking techniques, for example my review of Aroy Mak and the lukewarm food is most likely due to the fact that their menu items require less heat to bring out the best in their food, thus maybe a tad harsh of a review, but I still don't believe they are worth waiting in line for if the wait is out the door, especially if you drove longer then 25min to get there. For O'Char, its just consistent, tasty, hot. Perhaps I align more with hotter temperature food I can admit. See you soon again!

One of the better options in the crossroads mall food court. I've had the pad Thai here a few times and quality can be inconsistent however still satisfying. They are a popular option in the food court so they can get busy and service is always quick and short. The cooks here work hard. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai spice level 3. The spice bar is up to 4. Honestly the food was not spicy sadly and more on the sweet side. Food was still flavorful and tasty but more on the bland side. Something was missing. Didn't enjoy the side salad and wasn't aware I would get that on my plate tbh lol. Also wish they gave lime wedges and more peanuts, and egg with the pad Thai. Shrimp isn't the highest quality. I still devoured my food for a large lunch before work but did not touch the salad. Food is good but not a go to pad Thai restaurant or anything. Good and decent option in the crossroads mall food court. I would return and have but it's very once in a blue moon type of visit tbh.

Food is always tasty! Consistently very good and reasonably priced. Plenty of parking in the lot right outside

The top tastes fine- but it's swimming in water at the bottom- not okay Ate top half had to throw the watery bits away

What's left of my garlic chicken after I plowed through it. Mmmm. Serious dad food here.

The food is amazing again!! My wife had me drive 40 miles round trip to get it. (I offered) (she didn't actually ask) (thought id get laid, yah this food is that good) (rode my motorcycle to get it) And yes it's worth it. Especially when she's happy. Right guys. Hehe. The service was amazing. I barely stepped away and when I came back and asked for an update. They go are you ... and got my name right. 5 minutes left!! I was impressed. They're getting faster Finally, the place is packed. One of the most popular spots in Crossroads / Bellevue. Thanks O'Char again!!

When you find yourself (a) at Crossroads on a cold day and (b) craving some hot, spicy Thai food, O'Char is a solid option in my opinion. At first I was going to get my standard Pad Thai, but then I noticed they have a Thai noodle soup so I switched over to that. For a very reasonable price, I got this hot bowl of delicious tom yum deliciousness filled with tender rice noodles and topped with jumbo shrimp. The Crossroads food court has so many good options, I usually find myself going to the same ones over and over again, but I'm going to have to add O'Char to my regular rotation. The service was super friendly, too, and FAST! I also appreciated that, if you're not doing take-out, they use real bowls and utensils so there was less waste if I stayed at the food court and ate. Which, of course, I was more than happy to do.

    Phad See Ew w/ Chicken
    Jacques I.

$14 for mediocre phad see ew? Yeah, no. Take me back to Thailand, please. Okay, I will say that I did just get back from traveling around SE Asia where amazing Asian food will only cost you a few bucks, so I've been spoiled and standards have rose. But shouldn't I like my dinner much more than having lukewarm feelings for it, especially since it was $14? We visited the Crossroads Shopping Center for some errands and decided to check out the food court for dinner. I decided to venture out and try somewhere I hadn't eaten at before; therefore, I was brought to O'Char Thai. O'Char Thai has been at Crossroads forever. And every time I'm at the food court here, O'Char seems to be the food vendor that's always busy. I ordered the phad see ew with chicken and two-star spice, which didn't take long to get. I was excited for my meal, as peeps could see from the open kitchen the flaming woks at work. It's gotta be good. But, I found the phad see ew to be lackluster. The noodles were fine and sauced up, but there was not a lot of veggies or chicken with this dish in comparison to how much noodles you get. I know it's a noodle dish, but the lack of protein and veggies to the proportion of carbs was beyond off. Also, I ordered this dish with medium spice and it was not spicy at all. This phad see ew was expensive for what it was, which makes me hesitant to check out O'Char again, especially since there are better food options at the Crossroads food court. Or ya know, I could just go back to Thailand.

This place is amazing especially if you consider the speed, variety of food (at the food court) and quality. It is more like 3.5 stars but a solid place to satisfy your craving for Thai/noodles. Super casual and by far the busiest counter at the food court. The pad kee mao (basil rice noodles) with tofu was good. More like a place for everyday meal vs special meal. I would be back to try the combo with doesn't have pad Thai.

What a pleasant surprise at the Crossroads food court. They cooked everything to order. This did cause us quite a wait, but the food was well prepared. I had the veg delight with chicken. I ordered 3 (out of 4) stars, and it was more like 1.5 stars. That said, it was tasty and a generous portion. I got the brown rice, which was a nice option. I also liked the very fresh salad with the tasty dressing. We waited about 20 minutes at lunchtime on a Sunday.

The staff were very friendly, particularly Ford and Tee who both sparked natural conversations, which was much appreciated as a solo diner. I was super impressed that they managed to give me even Thai restaurant recs in New York where I am normally based! Highly recommend. Pad Thai - The best Pad Thai I've had in the states. The acidity, saline, and sweetness all come through immensely bold as intended by the Thai flavor palette. Before I even took the first bite, I knew I was in for an authentic treat. When they serve Pad Thai with a spoon of sugar, that's when you know. The banana blossom is also a smart pairing, as its light and grassy to sharply contrast those bold flavors. Lemonade - Beautiful drink with expert craftmanship creating that perfect gradient of clear lemonade to the deep purple of the butterfly pea. Indeed, this place is quite adorable, great for girls' night out or date night. They have a sizable full bar for the boozers. Service was fine and kept our water filled. The restaurant is good overall except menu prices run about a buck or two more than my usual Thai places. I suppose that pays for the decorations. Noodle dishes have a sizable markup if switching proteins at $5 beef, prawns, or $8 seafood. Perhaps they use higher quality sources. This location has their own parking. The Food: Crying Tiger, $27.95 - 4 Stars Menu: Grilled glazed marinated New York strip steak Super cute presentation that is also eye-busy, made me pause to think "where do I start." Beef is tender. The side salad is refreshing. Shu Chee Salmon, $27.95 - 3.5 Stars Menu: Grilled wild caught skin-on Alaska salmon in creamy red curry paste with bell pepper, basil I was bummed when I saw this. The fish is breaded and deep fried. I have ordered curry salmon from many area Thai restaurants. This is the first fried version. So unnecessary. The rest of it is good. I quite like the steamed broccoli to accompany the protein. Koong Oob Woon Sen - 4 Stars Menu: House special bean thread noodle with prawns, mushroom, celery in sweet ginger sauce I am a fan of bean thread noodles, aka crystal noodles or clear noodles. This is a common dish found in Thai restaurants. Bouncy, chewy noodle is served on spinach. Their version is less greasy than another restaurant that serves it in a hotpot. The fact that these were also coated in oil was pretty nice. On the inside, I thought the prawns were cooked well - they remained pretty soft and didn't appear overcooked I did feel like the spice was pretty much missing, though. I ordered 4/5 stars, but it tasted more like 1/5 stars as there was a pretty significant lack of spice that took away from a lot of the flavor potential. Speaking of the missing flavor, there should've been a lot more sauce added to this dish - either poured on top of the prawns or the prawns come sitting in it. The benefit of this is that it you can mix everything with the rice - and this sauce coats the rice to make it taste good. The way it's currently presented, the prawns are too large to really eat with the rice, and mixing the two will just result in eating the meat and taking another bite of plain rice because there isn't enough sauce to coat the rice. This dish just ended up being eating the prawns by themselves - the rice wasn't super useful As a result, after finishing I really wasn't that full For the price (around 20 ish) there are a good amount of prawns, but I wouldn't really say you're getting a good deal here

The Panang curry had a mild flavor with a subtle lime note and a touch of sweetness, which was interesting but not particularly bold. Overall, the food was okay, but unless you live nearby, it might not be worth the trip. If you do go, I'd recommend ordering a higher spice level, as everything leaned on the mild side. My favorite dishes are the PHAD SEE EIW with chicken ($16.25) and the THAI GRILLED BEEF SALAD (cooked medium) ($20.50). The PHAD SEE EIW has the perfect sauce balance of sweet and savory flavors and comes with broccoli and carrot. The noodles are super long and wide so you know they are fresh and not from the box. The THAI GRILLED BEEF SALAD definitely has a kick to it. This dish comes with raw cucumbers, carrots, onions, and basil and is served in a tangy and umami fish sauce vinegar mix. The beef is extremely tasty, tender, and well-marinated. This past visit, my friends and I also tried two new dishes that I've never had at Isarn before- their CHIANG MAI NOODLES (aka Khao Soi) ($17.25) and the MINCED LAMB WITH THAI BASIL ($16.50). The CHIANG MAI NOODLES were beautifully presented with a nest of crunchy egg noodles on top of a creamy yellow curry with soft egg noodles underneath. It was served with pickled mustard cabbage and onions for extra punch of flavor. The MINCED LAMB WITH THAI BASIL reminded me of Vietnamese larb. However, this dish was more savory and less tangy than larb and the basil really shined through. It is quite oily though so make sure to enjoy it with a side of JASMINE RICE ($2.75). Portions are generous for all dishes and I always leave with leftovers. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and trendy. It's a great place for catching up with friends and not too loud. I will say the restaurant is a bit on the darker side, but that's just how they set the ambiance. Service was good and we got our food promptly within 15-20 minutes after ordering. It took a bit of time to waive the waiter down for to-go boxes, but they were attentive otherwise. Note that Isarn doesn't take reservations and it's street parking only. Luckily, we just got the next one available, but felt like a needlessly stressful experience. Jumbo Firecracker Prawns (4.25/5): Spring rolls and shrimp had a baby. Crunchy outside with tender shrimp and sweet chili sauce - a perfect appetizer to share. Isarn Fried Rice (4.25/5): A fried rice unlike any other. Was my personal favorite dish of the night. The rice kernels were separated into individual grains and coated in grease in the best way possible. I'm a kale hater, but the combination with salted eggs and the purposefully chewy fried steak pieces was just super delicious! Northern Style Sweet Curry (3.75/5): The curry itself is fantastic: super balanced between savory, fragrant, and sweet. The steak chunks unfortunately were just a bit overcooked and chewy. Durian Sticky Rice (4.25/5): Sticky rice has a super satisfying chew and I appreciated that the sauce wasn't overly sweet. Durian itself was sweet and creamy with just a touch funk. If you've never had durian before, this is a fantastic intro.
