DELICIOUS!!! I am a picky person when it comes to Thai food. These are some of the best dishes I've had in a while. We were walking through the food court, and their menu looked good. After ordering, they began wok frying our order right in front of us. Three dishes only took about 7 minutes to prepare. The portions are generous, and very reasonably priced. Phad Thai is amazingly flavorful and saucy! Not a lot added to it, but honestly I don't mind that too much. Always piping hot, and amazing portions. Highly recommend. The reason I took 2 stars down, is because they placed cold iceberg lettuce salad in the same container with hot, fresh off the grill phad Thai, so the salad was extremely warm which was not pleasant at all or food safe. It been awhile since I visit this place. I had the chicken Pad Kee Mao very tasty, i think i would love the shrimp but it was $2 more I'll have to try it next time. I had the pa nang curry. The portion was nice, but I ordered it spicy and the little Mexican that worked there said black women can't handle spicy so he told me to leave. I'm stubborn so I insisted on still ordering. The food was so bland I didn't even have to get a cup of water. I only give them a 2 star because the gal at the counter was really really nice. There were 2 people in front of me but the line was quite fast as were the workers cooking in the back line. I was given order #52. My order was finally up after order # 56. Not sure why other meals were made before mine or if by chance my soup was frozen.* I ordered a bowl of Tom Kha, side of Rice and side of Phad Thai Noodies. The Tom Kha is *watery and SUPER lemongrassy. Also, there were so many pieces of Galangal Root that I had no idea what to do with them. The lemongrass and root that I pulled out of my soup just kept piling up on the side of my plate. Both overpowered the whole thing. There was bits of the other seasonings, but those were lost when the grass and root came around. The Phad Thai was rubbery and needed more seasoning. I was on the fence about bringing my unfinished portion back to the office. The more and more I thought about it, the more I knew that it would not get eaten. Sorry O'Char.... I have only had the thai noodle soup and my wife only orders the cashew shrimp. We both love the flavors of these dishes. The thai noodle soup includes tofu, chicken and shrimp in a tasty broth with a good kick. Noodles are always on spot. They are friendly, fast and appreciative. The Mongolian beef is pretty good, but would be even better if they toned down just a tad the lemongrass in it. I also love the stuffed won-tons. They hand-make them fresh for your order. This is food court Thai food done very well. Good food, affordable, and they serve it to you almost as if this were a normal restaurant. I just ordered their combo special #1 with red curry chicken, Phad Thai, and rice for $8.95. They finished this in ten minutes and served it to me on a plate on a tray. They gave me a generous amount of Phad Thai topped with bean sprouts and chopped peanuts. The curry was in a bowl and the rice was off to the side. Honestly, they may have even given me too much and my obsession with counting calories actually led me to not eating some of the curry. Downgrading a star since something has changed since my last review, and although their food is still good, it's not as delicious and/or consistent as it used to be. Sometimes the chicken in the pad Thai is too dry, the salad/dressing literally doesn't taste like anything, etc. I dunno what exactly it is, but something has gone missing. read more

Considering that this place is in a food court, it's pretty good. The spring rolls are very inexpensive but pretty mehhh. The chicken pad thai was moist and pretty tasty. The chicken itself however was kind of dry and flavorless. The salad on the side is a little pointless and has a funny tasting dressing. Next time I'm going to ask for it without the dressing. The portion was huge and my wife and I were able to split it comfortably for dinner. The service was very nice and friendly which was a pleasant surprise. Overall I'd say the food is average, the service is warm and the portions are generous for the price. Would love to go back to try more. p.s. I really enjoyed the red curry, had a good combination of sweet and spicy. What disappointed me was the pad thai. I come and order the pad thai by itself sometimes and its always spot on, but last night with the combo, it lacked a lot of flavor. It was really bland and not even warm, but regardless I still ate it all. I believe when the pad thai is a side order, they have it pre-made unlike when they have a full order, they cook it fresh. Stay at the office too late and needed easy dinner, Crossroads is great for food diversity and decent price. Though this year the value gap has shrunk compared to a regular restaurant. One plus is cafeteria style, so tipping isn't necessary but do when service is appreciated. Location, setting. Love the concept. Lots of decent food variety, compared to usual mall options. From decent Mexican to Good Ramen. And a great family place to hang out, walk and shop. Get groceries at QFC, buy a book and get ice cream after a delicious dinner. Then walk to the park if weather is nice! What I ordered. Combo 1, red curry, pad Thai and rice. Now was not given any option; protein choice or even spice level. Red curry, with chicken and bamboo slices nothing else. No basil or anything else. About 1* spicy. Curry has good flavor, hard to mess up with pre-made sauce but just seem plain and I can make it better at home. Pad Thai. Just noodle, egg, bean sprouts and some sauce. Primary tastes like noodle, not enough of other ingredients for balance, bland. I hope this is not the main dish. Service, typical cafeteria, nothing great and nothing bad. Overall, I would not order this dish and if combo represents their main dish, there is not enough value gap to recommend. The cook here is very skilled at making entrees accordingly with orders. I often find most Thai restaurants to have inconsistencies with spice levels. O'Chair Thai doesn't have that problem. Cheap and delicious with semi generous portions. Would easily compete with any Thai family restaurant. There was no flavor, the beef looked old and was unattractive and the vegetables were overcooked and tasted mushy. The order of pad Thai was tasted and was strange as it had a single note of vinegar, beige in color with everything looking the same bland color with no scallions or peanuts. Lets be honest... This is the best place to grab a meal in the mall. Everything is fresh and made to order. I have been going here for years and love the friendly service! The two brothers that most of the time cook know our orders and always speak to us by name. To be inside a small food court mall the food is very high quality and great flavors! I think when you order from a mall you don't expect much so coming here is always delightful. They make really yummy fried rice, curry, phad Thai and more. They have never messed up on an order of mine and take their time creating each dish. The system here works well and glad much hadn't changed throughout the years. I've been to this mall for the past 3 years, and this is probably one of my favorite places to eat at crossroads. It might even be my favorite Thai restaurant on the Eastside. But more than just the awesome food (ranging from tom yums to pad see ews), it's really the people who work here that makes this restaurant super inviting. Get to know who's making your food sometimes! Just the fact that they say hello like a friend and know your order perfectly is a huge plus. The only downside would be the foods containing a lot of oils like the fried rice, sometimes it causes a lot of bloating. Take in their large portions slowly else you'll end up feeling too full too fast. But to leave on a positive note, lately they changed the to-go soup bowls from the 12oz to the 16oz .. so kudos to Ochar in Bellevue. You guys do some awesome work. read more

First of all, let me start by saying that I regret that I don't have a picture to share but my disgust and disappointment were my first initial reaction before I decided to write a review and if I had the option of giving no stars then I would. This was my first time eating here for lunch because we all went out to find lunch at Crossroads today and my love for Thai food obviously peaked my interest. So I ordered the Tom Kha soup with a side of rice and crab rangoons. The man at the front was very nice and the prices were very reasonable so waiting a little longer than expected wasn't an issue. I literally watched this man bag my food and then stop to give this lady (who came after me) her food first. But still... I didn't have an issue. It wasn't until I was sitting down, ready to eat my lunch when my experience completely went down hill. Crab Rangoons were cute and looked like flowers, but no matter how aesthetically pleasing it is, doesn't change its sour taste. & when I say sour, think: spoiled milk. The aftertaste is unfortunately still in my mouth. Then comes the soup, one bite in and I'm thinking, "It's okay at best. But I'm hungry so I'm going to eat it." Second bite: Just broth. Third bite: A BUG. AN EFFING FLY WITH A DETACHED WING HANGING OUT ON MY SPOON! Trashed. The whole thing, trashed. Crab rangoons, trashed. My appetite is ruined & I'm not even half way through a 10hr day with only two bites of bug infested soup on my stomach. I couldn't decide where to have dinner in the Crossroads so I opted for somewhere I had not experienced. My first experience upon arriving at O'Char was where to order. People seemed to be standing all around it with no formal line and there was no sign "order here". Finally I went up to the counter and was directed to the cash register area - although there was no employee there. She showed up and I ordered. I ordered the No 3 which was Cashew Chicken, Tom Yum Soup and Fried Rice - number 2 spice out of 4. I would say it was OK at best. The Tom Yum Soup I have had over the years has a much stronger Lime taste then this one. The Cashew Chicken was OK but had a limited amount of cashews compared to others - however the chicken was good. I would put the flavor at 1.5 - definitely not 2 for spicy. The Fried Rice was good. Some places in the mall deliver it to your table - this place does not. 3 Stars say A-OK - which describes how I felt. . read more
