On my most recent visit, was very pleased to see that this O'Charleys location has gone totally smoke free. This is a fairly typical family casual dining restaurant with reasonable prices and friendly service. They've also upgraded their side house salad with a spring mix/ baby greens instead of the sad iceberg concoction that is usually standard. I had a minor issue the last time I was there, but when I let the server know, she immediately apologized and send the manager over who made more than adequate restitution so great customer service. My usual order there is the chicken tender dinner with a side salad and fries. The chicken tenders are definitely the best thing on the menu here as far as I'm concerned--crisp breading, tender chicken and great honey mustard dipping sauce. The fries can be extremely salty. The whole meal probably exceeds your fat and salt requirements for an entire day, but it's a tasty calorie splurge on occasion. This is definitely a family restaurant--be prepared to be surrounded by the noise and chaos that goes with young kids. The positive is that if you're bringing one or more of your own, nobody should shoot you any dirty looks! read more

Compared to ruby tuesdays across the AA highway, this place rocked. the atmosphere was lively without being over burdening, the menu was varied although safe, a good choice in seating options, a wait staff willing to please, and prices were comparable to like & similar establishments. i would not mind going here for a nice meal with friends &or family or by myself to watch the game. read more

It is your responsibility when a group is making a lot of noise and affecting many other people you have to be a manager and fix it. This location has really gone down hill. About 3 months ago my husband and I went to this location and sat form10 minutes while waitresses and waiters walked by us and not one ever stopped to wait on us. We got up and left but ask to speak to manager on way out. Explained the situation and she of course apologized but didn't seem to care that much. We said we wouldn't go back but I have dinner once a month with friends and they chose to go there. Big mistake, my friend and I both ordered the Califonia chicken salad which is normally very good but this time both of us had grossly tough chicken. The majority of my chicken was left in my plate. We did tell the waiter who was wonderful about it. The manager came over and said he adjusted our checks and apologized. When we got our checks he had taken a big $2.00 off. Pretty disappointing to say the least. Hadn't eaten here in 7 years, joined in on a togo order and was really impressed. Got the steakhouse wedge salad and it was excellent. So the next day I reordered the same thing, togo. Wow, what a difference form the previous day. Iceburg Lettuce was frozen all the way thru, translucent. All the ingredients were piled together no in separate containers the way they had been the day before. What a disappointment. Our waitress threw a huge fit. My bill was around 17 and some change. I had a lot of singles so i decided to pay 18 and then split a 20 i also had to leave a 5$ tip. I simply do not like carrying a bunch of singles or change. I gave her the bill and expected her to come back so i could leave the tip on the table... she wasnt but 3 feet away from me yelling at another employee that i was disrespectful and a rude person, counting the money i gave her accusing me of not leaving a tip. Friday afternoon around 3pm. Restaurant was not crowded. So disappointing! I got the Filet with Garlic Butter. The filet was over cooked, and the quality of the meat was very poor. Hardly a true filet. The service was mediocre at best. Our server was curt. Never came back to the table to fill drinks. Slapped the checks down on the table without a word. This might have been the worst service I have had anywhere this year. Waited forever for anyone to take our drink orders. Then even longer to take our dinner order. Then entrees came before our salad because they forgot we ordered salads. Our drinks were never refilled during the whole meal. We like O'charley's. We get the 20% coupons emailed. If we don't have a coupon we take advantage of kids eat free. So we always get some type of discount. Service has always been fine. First time going and won't be back to this one.. the hostess was so rude I thought about leaving before she sat us. While waiting and waiting for a server I'm looking around and noticing several tables with just drinks and people who don't look happy. There looked to be plenty of staff and maybe half the restaurant filled. Our server never came so we ended up walking out and going to Longhorn next door. Wow! This place has come a long way! I am normally not a fan of large chain restaurants but my girlfriend and I had a lovely meal. I order the cedar plank salmon and it was one of the best I have had in many years. It was cooked a perfect medium and had a wonderful smokey flavor. The seasoning they use was a perfect compliment to the fish. We had fried pickles and hush puppies and they were very nice. My girlfriend only had appetizers so I only have my meal to review but I will certainly be back again for that salmon! Lastly, the manager was making table rounds and was very hospitable and our sever was very personable. Since it was "Free Pie Wednesday" the place was busy but the service was quick and the free pie was a nice delicious treat. If we go again soon and get the same quality service and properly prepared meals then I will be happy to upgrade this review to 5 stars. read more

I'm not normally impressed with Ocharlys, the food or the people, once I even had a fly in my water.. But tonight I went with a party of about 15 and our waitress Rachael was absolutely phenomenal. She was patient, fun, and warm (very pretty too). I also got the potato soup, which was a little thick for me, I couldn't even eat it all, but it was SOOO good and I don't even like potato soup. All in all this is the first good experience I've had at this restaurant and it was only good because of our server. read more

Food lacked seasoning!! My husband order the chicken an ribs, however steak and chicken was brought to the table! He was not asked how he liked his steak cooked so the steak was not cooked the way he liked!! We let that go and then this happened--The promotion where you receive a free appetizer after ordering 2 combos- we were told fried pickles were one of the appetizers. When we received our check this was not the case, at 1st they credited the bill for those. But after giving the 20% off coupon from the O'Charley's club we were told we can't do 2 discounts!! The pickles were not a discount it was a promotion- not our fault the waitress did not know the menu and offered the pickles as part of the promotion. And to top it off when we paid and the waitress brought our change back she shorted us, when bringing this to her attention she just counted out the amount she shorted us and walked away!! This is the sorriest restaurant around. The guy hostess was sorry for marking us off the wait list and not seating us. Waited for 45 min after being told it would be 15 to 20 min for a table. I Had to get up and ask how much longer for him to realize he'd taken us off the list prematurely. Then he'd told us he had a table and it was still 15 min after that before we were seated. I'm wondering how long he would have looked at us sitting there before it hit him that we were waiting? Then the manager was sorry for the entire ordeal and comped our dinner (which was an appropriate gesture after waiting for nearly an hour) and had waiter Kenny come over. We Had to ask him to take our order. Waited and waited for the salad, and finally asked Kenny for the salad that he forgot to bring out. Took 3 bites of salad and dinner arrived. He was sorry. Finished eating and our drinks we empty for a while , Had to ask for a refill. He was sorry. Specifically told him it was unsweet tea. He brought SWEET tea!!! To a diabetic!!! We decided to Give them a second chance after our first visit was horrible service for lunch. I must say it was a much better experience. The open faced prime rib was delicious. The only complaint we had was another server overheard me telling my son that he said the mac n cheese was disgusting but he didn't even try it and she came over and said, "well if I was your server I would have told you the mac n cheese was disgusting when you ordered it." And then began telling us her story of when her and her fiance came in the restaurant and had horrible food. Really what server or any employee of a restaurant bashes the food to customers instead of promoting it. Overall a good experience and no major issues. This O'Charley's is usually quick during lunch hours. I went with a couple co-workers and had a strict 1 hour lunch time (reasonable). We all ordered salads and thought it would be fairly quick. It took us 45 minutes to get our food. When it arrived we asked for to go boxes and it took another 15 minutes. When we got our food, it didn't haven't dressings, took another 10 minutes to get those and our checks. I have a gluten allergy and specifically said grilled chicken and my salad came out with fried chicken. Since we were already late I didn't even worry about getting a new salad and ended up not eating. The server was upset at the beginning because he had to clock in early. Then continued to tell us about how the health department was there. We just wanted our food and get back. We were definitely late and the slowest service ever, taking over an hour. We ordered 2 California chicken salads to go like we have many times before. One time, we received fried chicken instead of grilled chicken. Today, I called to order 2 California chicken salads, asked them to have blue cheese crumbles on the side for one of them, didn't get that and we also got Ranch dressing which I didn't ask for because it always comes with their Balsamic Vinaigrette. It is too much trouble to drive back up there to get the order changed and I''m getting completely fed up with their take out service. Service is when you get it right. Below is what I sent them.. Hello, I attended the Cold Spring, KY location and I have never had a worse experience dining in my life. There were 6 of us crammed into a small table, which was not a good start. I didn't get my drink order for 20 minutes. We then ordered, and my mom didn't get her food with the rest of us. Turns out the order was never put in by our waitress DONNA. She also messed up my sister's salad order and she got it while eating her entree. The checks were the worst part. Everyone but my parents were on separate checks. Pretty simple right? Well no one got a correct check back. My order was on my parents' bill. Two other checks were combined although we were clear they were to be separate. My mother opted to pay for my meal. DONNA disappeared for at least 20 minutes with my mother's credit card. She claimed there was a problem with the machine. Then she came back and said the bill went missing and took the rest of our checks. The amounts on the checks were not what went through our bank accounts as we paid for other people's meals at the table. Everyone's was mixed up. We consulted the manager on duty which I can't remember his name (about 50 or so with a mustache) who was rude and didn't seem to help the situation. He said the check missing is on the house. Everyone else has to pay. He was rude in his delivery and said DONNA was back working on the checks, but DONNA kept saying the checks weren't going through right and she needed a manager. The manager was with us so it didn't make sense. None of us paid for the right bill so we have all been upset about our experience and I don't plan on my family going back to a place run like this. read more
