This restaurant offers an eclectic mix of various dishes at very reasonable prices. Sandwiches, pizza, pasta, salads, burgers (including bison-containing one), hummus, vegetables and other delicious items are available. For an appetizer, we ordered the Hummus. We could have just shared this platter for our lunch if we had known the amount of food that came with the dish. The portion sizes were large. It had two heaping mounds of hummus, ample warm pita bread triangles, thick cucumber slices, hardy carrot sticks and spicy pepperocinis all over a "bed" of kalamata olives. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was delectable. My sister had the "Rod & Reel" lunch special, which is a choice of soup/salad and 1/2 a sandwich with a side. Her salad was a meal all by itself. She ended up taking home part of the salad and all of the sandwich. I tried the Willow sandwich. It's a delectable mix of avocado , lettuce, tomato , smoked turkey and mayo on ciabatta bread with a side of blue tortilla chips. I too, took my sandwich home because I was full from sharing the hummus appetizer. Everything about this restaurant was appealing to me. The staff and service were friendly and accommodating. Because the restaurant originated in Montana, all of the pictures and decor reminded one of hard-working people on an expansive ranch with animals and surrounded by family and down-to-earth friends. We've been here several times and wanted to leave a fresh review. The service was pretty decent and food was great. The kiddos ordered pizza and I opted for the famous meatloaf with a side Greek salad instead of veggies. It was all delicious. I think there is potential here. It's the kind of place I want to like - big, with lots of food options and a nice but still casual atmosphere. This would definitely be a fun place to meet up with friends for beers and to watch a game. I came with my family for a weekend lunch and it wasn't at all busy. The menu has a lot of interesting choices but we all went for burgers in one form or another. I ordered the "Slammers" from the appetizer section. Our server (who was very nice and unflappable) strongly suggested mayo on the side and she was right. These weren't awful but the burger was quite well done... a sauce is truly needed to make these salvageable. The onion strings served alongside suffer from the opposite issue - they're a bit TOO undercooked and needed another minute or so in the fryer. But still not awful. My father had the "Grizzly" burger and my mother the "Smokehouse" burger. Both were OK and quite large so easily shareable if you're not that hungry. The fries alongside were pretty standard but also not bad. I wouldn't be opposed to going back here, and if we had one in my neighborhood it would be a place I'd go to when I just wanted a simple, easy meal with no surprises. read more

Today I ordered take out period I have not yet had the experience of dining in but The store front is very nice and very well kept. Definitely Receive great service when I called in to place my order. I did attempt to place and pay for my order online. However, I could not get the online functions to work. So that was kind of a downer. I was grateful, though, that they answered right away and did not keep me waiting period my order was promptly placed and took about 25 minutes. We ordered the stockman pizza, humble pie, and a caesar salad. When we went in to pick up, we were ignored along with other waiting customers by 2 or 3 passing by employees. No one greeted us or said hello. They all just pretended not to see us. The other group of customers even made comments that they were going to leave. Eventually the bartender came to seat them and someone else came to help me. I heard the group ahead of me comment that "no one likes to smile here" So service today was not so great, but well see how the food is very soon.... Well. The only thing I can say about the food is that it is really good! The sald is great. Perfect amount of dressing. Both Pizzas are an explosion of flavor. The staff here at MRP really went above and beyond for us! My friend has several dietary restrictions including a serious allergy to dairy, gluten and nuts. She was offered vegan cheese for her dish but was concerned because vegan cheese is typically made with nuts. The chef came out to our table to bring us an unopened bag of cheese to confirm the ingredients before using it! We definitely didn't expect such dedication but it was wonderful! Just moved to the area and I absolutely love this place! My servers have been great and the hosts helping with takeout were fantastic. Pizza is great and so is the pasta. Everyone is super helpful kind and patient even sending my son's steak back to be reheated when he didn't realize how little he liked it to be rare! :-) there smoked old-fashioned is unique and delicious and my favorite thing to order there! I am so tired of writing bad reviews. I am not that picky. Honestly. Today, we had the misfortune to go to this restaurant. Obviously, a lot of money has been invested in the building in a high rent district of Crestview Hills Ky. Sadly, it's all smoke and mirrors. We ordered fish and chips and chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were unimpressive and quite frankly toxic According to our waitress, the tiny fish filets were dredged in .... Wait for it... Cap'n Crunch Cereal. Wtaf. A gmo sugar laden toxic cereal coated these and she said the recipe was sanctioned by "corporate". I immediately sent this fiasco back and we sampled the chicken Alfredo. Day old chicken atop penne noodles and dry. Gross actually. We barely ate any and the waitress tried to bring us a go box. lol. Nope. Not taking that home. Do not eat here. They have hidden ingredients and their food is disgusting. read more

Our third visit to this restaurant. The first two were during burger week and we had no complaints. I cannot say the same about the third. The service was good but the food was really lame. Made the mistake of ordering the Alfredo. It was served with very little sauce, chicken, and vegetables. It was literally a plate of pasta. The sauce that could be found had no flavor. The bread stick seemed to be sprayed with butter flavored cooking oil. The music was very loud. We never complain when dining out, but the pasta was so bad that we decided to tell them. We've eaten at this restaurant many times and always said they had some of the best chain food you could find. Saturday's visit was so disappointing though. The bartender wasn't wearing her mask correctly and the place was packed. We are at 60% capacity for restaurants in Kentucky and I definitely didn't see that in practice. There was no spacing at the bar or between tables. There were so many people waiting around to be seated that I waited for the pickup area thinking it was about six deep - I was actually the only person waiting for a to-go order. Our food today was also not as good as normal. Usually their pizza is so good and ours was so mushy that it completely fell apart when we pulled a slice out. Their nachos are normally the best around but I barely had any chicken today and they seemed a little blah. I expect more for almost $40 for one pizza and one nacho appetizer. read more

I originally planned on eating at Carrabbas (next door) but the chef would not budge on switching any ingredients to meet my dietary restrictions. The server also wasn't aware that all of their salad dressings are made with raw egg (pregnant people can not eat anything raw). i'm in a wheelchair and some nice older couple helped me in while the person at the front just watched me struggle to open the door. The food was ok. the burger was good but it came a little undercooked. my boyfriend's burger was cooked differently in every spot he took a bite in. I also had 5 hairs in my fries. the fries were also soggy. The restaurant was basically empty, but it took them 25-30 minutes to get one burger out. The place was clean so thats good. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because this was my first time there. if I ever do come back and it's better I will fix my review. :) read more

My wife and I tried this as a fallback when Carrabba's had an over 90 minute wait. It took a long time to get food. The food runners have no idea where any orders are supposed to go. We were offered other people's orders three times because the runners did were lost. Maybe they could put numbers on the tables? My pesto shrimp linguine was passable, but well on its way to cold, and didn't have much shrimp. This was my first dine-in experience. It was even more amazing than I could imagine. The ambiance was fine And the service exemplary. Our server went above and beyond to take care of us. My husband got to sample new beers we had never heard of before. We tried the Steak and Blue Cheese bites appetizer which were perfectly cooked and served with a homemade to order blue cheese sauce that was generously portioned and perfect. We got a free flatbread for downloading the app, no brainer. We tried the California Chicken which had roasted red peppers, chicken, homemade ranch, and perfect chunks of fresh avocado on each slice. I was recently looking for a local restaurant that could not only take on the task of feeding my employees as they worked through the COVID-19 crisis, but also do it in a way that would provide peace of mind when it came to cleanliness and sanitization. Needless to say, Mackenzie River nailed it. Upon my first visit to pick up my large order, I was greeted at the door by a very professional staff member who thanked me for my order. As this staff member walked away to get my order I was instantly put at ease because although the restaurant was emptied from the recent orders of Gov. Beshear, I noticed many staff members aggressively cleaning. It was a breath of fresh air to see staff working so hard and clearly making public safety just as important as making sales through this tough time for all of us. I've never, in all of my days, tasted a fish and chips combo that was so delicious!!! AMAZING!!! It was a nice mixture of spicy and sweet, fresh fish that was cooked to perfection. I heard they used Frosted Flakes and a spice picture as the crust and let me tell you it is out of this world!!!! I could literally just eat the fish all day none stop. The fries were well seasoned and so crispy!!! It was so good I went back a second time and it took everything in me not to order the same thing. Let me clear something up first: Food was good - 4 Stars (maybe 5), but the service was 2 or lower. Now, they were not mean, rude, or nasty, but more like inattentive, slow and confused. My wife and I decided to try this place out as it was new and we were in the area, so we gave it a shot. The hostess sat us down and advised us that they were "wrapping up some silverware for you right now". Not a problem. That took 25 minutes...I was timing it by now. Our server arrived and apologized that it took her so long to get to us (approx 10 minutes), because she "had a lot of large parties at our tables and was busy with them". To which we thought, "okay, so should we leave so we don't trouble you any further?". We pressed on and ordered the Chicken Club Rolls & Chicken Chili. Both of which were VERY tasty and would order again, if we go back. After we finished the apps, the silverware arrived! Good thing we didn't need them...oh wait, the napkins WERE needed. It was the hostess that brought them to use and then asked a question I think they ask a lot, "Have you been helped yet? You've been sitting here a while". We advised her that, yes, we've been taken care of and thank you. So we waited. Next was the entrees, which, again, while delicious, were over-shadowed by the service. We ordered the large Good Ol' Boy on regular crust and small Humble Pie on a thin crust, to try out various styles. We kept looking for the bright spots. After the food came, we realized that we only had the four wrapped napkins to use. Nothing extra. Okay, fine. We'll just lay all the other sets of silverware on the table and use what we need. We dug in and soon realized an issue: no plates. Hmm, alright, guess we'll rough it and used the napkins we had as plates. While a little greasy (no real issue with that mind you, just went through ALL the napkins and quickly), it was so flavorful. My wife was raving about her Humble that she didn't even touch my pepperoni! After we were beyond full, came another question I didn't expect to hear: "Oh, should I bring you a plate?" from our server that came to check on us since the apps. We just kinda looked at each other and then her, before my wife quickly said "No, we'll just take the check and some boxes." After everything, 55 minutes (since the order was taken mind you, a full 10+ minutes after we sat down), we paid the bill and left. $1 dollar for each minute, tip included. read more

Clearly a crazy popular spot at Crestview as we had a wait for 2 early evening on a Friday. Found a seat at the bar to wait and discovered we could eat there so that worked out. Got an app, pizza and sandwich. Chips and artichoke dip was a huge portion and tasted good. Pizza was good as well. Chicken Panini was not as expected as it was more like a chicken strip sandwich. Maybe I misordered or misread, but just surprised. At end again waited and had to flag down another bar tender to pay. I'm guessing my experience would have been better if I was just looking to hang out, and not paying any attention to time but just seemed like at every turn we had to beg for help. We sat at the bar and ordered the Black and Blue appetizer...excellent eith nice tender bits of meat and a blue cheese dipping sauce. Pizza was incredible as well. Can't recall the name. But, it had sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes and pine nuts. The small was ample enough food for two.
