The main interior is bright and doesn't feel somber as you walk through. The staff seemed polite and courteous and the seating was comfortable and plentiful. I said goodbye to one of my oldest friend's father last week and I found this funeral home a perfect place to honor him. I attended the worst wake I have ever attended last night at Geils on York Road. The one employee…read morewas dressed more in a janitors outfit than a funeral director. He was very unprfessional and disrespectful to the deceased and her family. He asked the daughter to help move her own mother in the coffin so she wasnt laying flat in the coffin. The daughter tried but they were unable to move her. A broken vase at head of the coffin took him 30 min to very noisly clean up. The guest book and funeral cards were not out, he lifted the bottlm half of the casket so he could adjust the skirt and all this while guests sat there and watched. The family is no longer involved with the daily operation. They hired a mgt company and they are not very good. Back in a day, their name meant something and they did a great job. I do not recommend this place for anyone. If they wanted out they should have sold it and protected the legacy of their name.
