Gluten friendly bagels…read more Hear me out here when I say, there are no words to describe how amazing these are. Homemade, scratch bagels, gluten removed, light, fluffy, soft, squishy. I used to be able to eat their regular bagels, but now I'm gluten free, I have an intolerance. My husband and I travel (sometimes very far) in search of the best gluten free products. (We have flown to Nevada, twice, to get our favorite gluten free pizza). I was so excited when I saw that Comfort created a gluten friendly bagel, took the drive to their Westfield location and tried one. I bought a couple to take home incase they were good. I SHOULD'VE BOUGHT THEM ALL OUT FOR THE DAY. Unfortunately I was already on my way home when I realized how delicious they were, but I will now be traveling 30 minutes to Westfield every-time they have a batch out for sale. I had a plain gluten friendly bagel with scallion cream cheese (homemade as well) and it was so delicious, not even overly chewy! You could buy these bagels if you are gluten intolerant and use them as bread. They're perfect. Pictured here is what I bought to take home, gluten friendly Asiago Parmesan bagels and roasted garlic cream cheese. The gentleman working gave me a sample of the cream cheese and it was delicious- had to buy it! They have a LARGE selection of homemade spreads and they have gluten free sesame and everything bagels as well. Trust me when I say RUN, DONT WALK, to get one (or 15) of these GF bagels. They are so worth it. I'd drive hours to get these, I'd probably fly to get them too. Just try one. Thank me later.

Yes, they were still open, and no, they didn't have any bagel's left. In fact, that was the very first thing the clerk announced as we came through the door. "We are sold out of bagels and cannot make any sandwiches." As we looked at the small display case we saw four different pastries on a plate. My wife asked what they were and chose two. One was a strawberry marshmallow muffin and the other was some kind of brownie combination ($11 for the two). Once we returned home we were ready to share them. The muffin was super fresh, soft, and very enjoyable. But we didn't believe that there was a strong strawberry flavor and neither of us detected a marshmallow flavor. It didn't matter! This was a delicious muffin no matter what the flavor was supposed to be. The brownie "thing" might have been what their website menu calls a "Featured Daily Brownie." This looked like they used their challah dough to roll up around brownie mix like you would make a cinnamon roll with cinnamon/sugar instead of the brownie mix. Whatever, it was a total success. It was delicious with two different chewy textures and lots of flavor. Maybe some day my wife or I will have to be in Albany around 9 AM and get to try the bagels.

I had the croissant French toast which was decadent but not too filling, a lovely breakfast. My husband had their special, pancakes with fresh peaches and mascarpone and he definitely had the best dish, tons of fresh peaches. The first latte I had was so good that I also got another to go. We also grabbed some baked goods for the road which was an awesome decision. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant is so lovely. Will be back for sure.

We had the special which was a sweet potato chorizo hash with poached eggs and hollandaise - honestly the chorizo lacked flavor and was not spicy enough to counteract the sweetness of the potatoes. We also had the huevos rancheros which were sublime. Nicely spiced black bean/chili sat atop a corn tortilla, eggs, avocado sour cream ..etc. Also had the famous morning glory muffin - two cappuccinos. It's pricey but worth it! We will be back

My family felt a bagel would make a great mid-morning breakfast/early lunch option, so we gave Hudson Bagels a try. Each of us was quite pleased with our experience! The fella that greeted us upon entering was nice and helpful in guiding our selections. The bagels were fresh and as good as any NYC bagel I have ever eaten. My family and I couldn't have been happier with our visit. The only downside was the limited amount of indoor seating available, but that's not a complaint--rather, just something to know if you're planning of stopping in for a bagel. If the weather is cold, the outdoor seating isn't likely an option. I highly recommend Hudson Bagels! If I ever make it back to Hudson, I'll visit this shop again! :-)

I've had worse down in the city, so I was pleasantly surprised. Not as much chew as I'd like, but still tasty.
