I'd been thinking about getting my eyebrows microbladed for months, but was always too scared that something would go wrong and that I'd end up wasting my money and ruining my eyebrows. I finally took the plunge when a good friend recommended Elva, and eventually made an appointment after spending a week meticulously browsing through pictures of her work. When I called to make an appointment Elva was suuuuuuper accomodating despite her busy schedule. When the day came to get my eyebrows done, she spent over an hour patiently drawing in different shapes and variations, making tiny changes that I would not have noticed myself, but when she pointed them out with her trained eyes, they actually made huge differences. I should also note that I have almost NO eyebrow hair whatsoever, so she basically did it all from scratch. She was not satisfied until I was, and asked several times before the actual microblading if there was anything I wanted to change, even if it was minor. We ended up taking a lot of pictures from all distances and angles to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it. When we finally got down to the tattooing part, she let me choose amongst several shades, giving me her professional opinion but ultimately letting me decide which I liked best. The microblading itself did not hurt at all, though I have a medium to high tolerance for pain. Elva took her time to make sure everything was done precisely and properly, stopping every few minutes to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. The procedure took about an hour and a half, including the numbing. Despite having appointments after me, she never once rushed the process or showed any hint of impatience when I asked her a million questions. When we finished, Elva gave me very specific instructions for aftercare, and told me to come back in a month or two for a touch up (which is common procedure for microblading anywhere). She also shared with me her contact info and assured me that I could ask her anything at any time if I had any concerns. Overall, Elva exceeded my expectations and I am ridiculously happy with my results. She is not exorbitantly priced like most highly reviewed salons, and although she is very in demand, she is always happy to work around my schedule. Professional skills aside (she even teaches tons of other students when she's not working), Elva's personality is very upbeat and bubbly, bringing fun and liveliness to our sessions. Long story short, coming to Elva was the best beauty decision I've ever made, and I confidently recommend her to anyone.
