I've been coming to this store for years and have always had great experiences. The store is clean,…read moreand the customer service is usually excellent. Today, I purchased a wagon and the young lady who helped me was amazing. She brought the item down, answered my questions, and even offered to carry it for me. She was incredibly kind and deserves recognition for her outstanding customer service. One thing I noticed was that while I was carrying the wagon through the store, the only employees who offered help were female team members. I passed two younger male employees who didn't check in, even though I was clearly struggling a bit. I wasn't expecting anyone to carry it for me, but a simple offer to help would have been appreciated. I also want to recognize the older gentleman outside who checked on me while I was loading my car and made sure I was okay. Overall, this is still a great store. My only suggestion is to encourage all employees to check on customers carrying heavy items. Maybe because I wasn't older or looked like I struggled but it was heavy and seeing me struggle a bit - A small gesture can make a big difference.

I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be documented, especially…read moreafter the manager told me that writing a review "wouldn't make a difference." I came in to exchange a pair of FootJoy golf shoes I bought here one week ago. I didn't have my receipt on me, so the associate scanned the shoes to look up the "lowest selling price." Their system came back with $19 for shoes I paid $110 for days earlier. When I asked how that number made any sense, no one could explain it. No price history, no verification, no transparency just "that's what the system says." I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, just a fair exchange based on the actual purchase price. The part that pushed me to write this review was the manager's response. Instead of helping or even acknowledging the issue, he told me that leaving a review "wouldn't make a difference." That's not just dismissive, it's unprofessional. He said he wouldn't even consider making an exception because I had dropped the F-Bomb in reference to their insane store policy and ridiculous lowball valuation. He also demanded that I apologize to the associate for using the F word. For the record, I found my receipt and will be returning the shoes properly. But the principle matters. If their system is generating inaccurate "lowest selling prices," that affects more than just me. I'll be filing formal complaints with the appropriate agencies so this doesn't get brushed aside. I'm sharing this so other customers know what to expect if they try to make an even exchange without a receipt. A $110 purchase shouldn't magically turn into $19 because a system says so and a manager shouldn't act like customer feedback is meaningless.

When we drove by we saw the sign that notified customers that there is parking in the back, so we did. When we walked into the store there was no one to greet us. My husband took my youngest son to use the bathroom at another establishment. I have no idea if this store has a bathroom because there was no one there to ask. My oldest son stayed with me. I looked at bathing suits for about 3 minutes. After I was done looking I heard a man ask if I needed help. I told him that I was looking for a bathing suit but I did not find anything I liked. He then told me that if I wasn't going to buy anything that I needed to leave his store. I was perplexed because the reason why I was in the store was to possibly buy something. I told him this and his reply was the same, if I wasn't going to spend any money that I needed to leave and that I needed to move my car. I told him that the sign in front says that there is parking in the back to which he said again that I needed to move my car. I told him that I would gather my family and leave his establishment. I am black, so my initial instinct told me that this guy is racist. I began to get really upset but throughout the day I second guessed my instincts. I kind of told myself that this guy is just a miserable jerk. When we arrived home I checked in with my oldest son so we could discuss what happened at the store. My son said that the guy at the store said something under his breath as he passed him. The guy said "What are these type of people doing here?". My heart just sank. My instincts were right. I called the store today to speak to the manager or owner. Turns out the guy who kicked me and my son out of the store is unfortunately the owner. He said that he thought I was going to go across the street to have breakfast for a couple of hours. If I was going to have breakfast across the street, wouldn't I be across the street having breakfast? I was in his store for several minutes looking at bathing suits. My oldest son was also looking around the store for something to buy. This experience has left me really sad and hurt. He said my son is lying about what he said under his breath as he passed him. Mr. Artie Anderson (the owner) said he isn't a racist but I implore him to stop acting like one. Before you kick someone out of your store, I suggest you ask before jumping to false conclusions.

HIGHLY recommend this store…read more Shopping for clothes has become an unwelcome chore. By contrast, my visit this past weekend to Brooks Brothers in the Camarillo Outlets Mall was a true joy. We needed to find "dress up" clothes for a memorial back East. So many stores have closed in Santa Barbara that we hoped it would be worth driving to the Camarillo outlets to get a better selection. We started at Brooks Brothers and within minutes had exactly what we needed. I have come to dread the rote "Welcome In" phrase that most retail staff utter as I enter a store. What does that even mean? It always seems as though they're obligated to say it, and are quite bored by it. By contrast, from the first moment we stepped into the Brooks Brothers Outlet, we were approached by an authentically welcoming, competent, and helpful staff member. Angelina gently and cheerfully inquired about our needs, measured my partner's shoulders and sleeve length to get the correct fit, and ushered us to exactly the right shelf to find what we needed. No wandering around the store lost, no trying on three sizes to figure out if one will work, no wasted time. Just a pleasant and helpful encounter with someone who really knows her stuff and makes every customer feel like the most important person in the world. THANK YOU Brooks Brothers for keeping old-fashioned customer service values alive. You have restored my faith in American retail business. And THANK YOU Angelina for your excellent care and service.

I went into the store when it was almost empty, with only one other customer inside, and there were multiple employees working. The other customer was greeted and helped, but no one acknowledged me, asked if I needed assistance, or checked on me while I was shopping. I felt completely ignored. Customer service should be offered to everyone who walks into the store, not just certain customers. I ended up leaving without buying anything. I would rather spend my money somewhere that values every customer. I do not recommend this location.
