The underground bar/venue is dimly lit with comfortable couches and awesome art work. We arrived at the perfect time and were able to catch the opener of one of their shows while grabbing a few drinks. O.P Rockwell is an amazing bar and music venue near the top of Main Street, Park City. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly, including patrons, bouncers, and bartenders. It is a standing venue, for music, but you can pretty well see the stage from anywhere in the room. The sound quality was great! Coat check was super easy and bathrooms were clean, both a plus. Absolutely 100% recommend O.P. Rockwell for a private event. I hosted a large holiday staff party here for almost 120. From start to finish, Xania the general manager was there helping in every way possible! She provided great ideas, tips, suggestions, recommendations and anything else I needed - I could count on her any time of day. The event space itself is absolutely beautiful, roomy, great vibes, energy and atmosphere. There are two bars, space for food to be catered and plenty of space for dancing and mingling as well as a stage for music, performances or ceremonies. I did a private event here in January, 2023 for 360+ people. It was top notch from beginning to end, and everyone's favorite night of our program. Xania is amazing to work with and kept everything on track (a feat in and of itself), even though we had a few unusual requests. She handled everything thrown her way with professionalism and enthusiasm, and always answered emails and calls quickly. Bar is not a good one. Stood at the bar for half an hour, couldn't get a drink to save my life. Didn't help that the music was basically a 7th graders top 10 playlist. Two bartenders for 200 people, took them 10 minutes to get a spout out of the vodka bottle, no roving servers. Glad I saved my $80 for 5 x drinks and left. Complete thumbs down read more

I already knew this place was going to be great, because they managed to get DJ Mark Farina at the tail end of this year's Sundance. Tickets for the show were average, maybe even a bit cheap all things considered during the final days of Sundance. It looks like the cover charge is usually $13. Not ideal, but this is also Park City, so you may just have to eat that one. Obviously if you buy tickets to see a performer, you won't need to pay the cover. First of all, if you're heading up main street, it may be a bit difficult to spot. If you blink you will miss O.P. Be on the lookout for a single door, just a bit further up the street from the landmark Egyptian theater. Sundance was a bit parking prohibitive, but China Bridge or the parking lot on the left side of the street at the top of main. OR street parking, if you're lucky as hell. Their website describes O.P as a relaxed and sophisticated cocktail lounge. I would say this is true to form. It has a bit of an "outlaw" feel, which is expected given its namesake. Their are two bar areas, a lounge with some seriously comfortable seating, and the stage. VIP area will grant you access to a closed off seating section to the right of the stage. Based on looks alone, not sure if it's worth it. I don't drink, but according to other reviewers, that seems to be taken care of. All in all, we had a fantastic time. The space is thematically pleasing, but not in an overtly kitschy way. Also gotta love the promotion of good music, and based on their schedule, they get some seriously killer acts. If you have the chance to see a show here, give it a go. read more

Visiting Park City with my parents and they called me to say they had just popped into OP to watch some live music. They managed to get in with a couple of free passes. I wasn't as fortunate, but happily payed the $13 cover to enjoy the show. After waiting 45 minutes for the opening act to come on (30 minutes longer than when my parents had been told the show would begin) and no certainty from the staff that they would any time soon, they decided to leave. On our way out I stopped by the cashier to see about getting a refund but was rudely denied. I post this as a warning to future visitors to this establishment. If you are on a schedule or if the "Off-Putting" Rockwell doesn't live up to their promises, be prepared to come out on the losing end. I suggest you pay your cover charge with a credit card. At least that way you will have a means to defend yourself against the "There's nothing I can do to help you" reply when you ask to speak to the manager. read more

Stopped in just to check things out while exploring the main street in park city. We loved that they were had live music. That always makes the atmosphere more alive, but unfortunately for us they took a break 5 minutes after we entered. There was lots of space inside but not many places to sit together as a group. There were seats that lined the outside of the main floor and a lounge area where all the couches and lounge chairs were so far apart you had to sit on the edge to get close enough to talk to eachother. OR you were sitting in a line on a couch and still couldn't talk to eachother. Comfortable atmosphere but awkward. I ordered the the night's 'special' drink, a floral infused, vodka mixed drink. Came here a couple of times while visiting Park City. The first night we came in and were surprised that they had a great bourbon selection. The bartender in the back bar was setting up, but she did not hesitate to make us drinks. I ordered an amaretto sour, but they didn't have amaretoo so she offered to make me a whiskey sour. I was worried, but I figued what the heck! Needless to say, it was amazing and I kept going back for more. We also came here for their Gatsby new years eve party and we had tons of fun. The bar was crazy packed in the back which is where our favorite bartender was, but poor thing was swammped with crowds of people. Surprisingly, she was really quick! Anyway, the live music that night was absolutely atrocious, but we still had a blast. Thankfully after 12 hit, they had a DJ come on and it was better. Never heard of this place until one of my favorite bands came into town, Mandolin Orange! I bought the general admission ticket thinking it would be just like The State Room, where you can choose to sit or stand for the same price. Not here. If you want to sit you have to pay for the higher priced ticket. Glad I wore flip flops and not heels because my back was killing me for standing for 3 hours on concrete. Other than the standing room only, they atmosphere is really cool. The bar is really high up, like to my shoulders. I felt like a little kid shyly ordering wine because I felt so small. The stage is pretty small, but it's definitely a more intimate concert experience and I liked that. I would come back here for another concert but suck it up and pay the higher ticket price so I could fully enjoy the show without back pain and people's heads right in my face. read more

If you're in Park City and want to hear some live music, this is a great place to go! Gotta look for it on upper Main just down from wasatch brewing on the same side of the street. Owner Scott is a great guy and committed to bringing live music to locals and out of towners alike in a friendly, intimate atmosphere. The venue is in a large, basement type complex and can hold about 400ish, mostly standing; which means plenty of room to dance. The bands vary from Kevin Costner's group to local musicians; either way you can't go wrong, the quality is always high and you'll have a great time. Two bars serve up anything you like, but be forewarned, this is not a wine bar, the selection is lacking if that's your drink of choice. Check out their schedule online and make time to be at O.P. I love this place. It's a terrific spot for live music and often manages to books some legit talent. That's all well and good but I also really dig the quiet, scaled-down living room vibe on nights where no music is booked. After dinner at one of the great restaurants nearby,kick back in a cozy chair with talented bartenders (working their magic within the confines of the ever-watchful State of Utah) after skiing. Rob is an awesome bartender. Came here twice in my 7 day PC stay. Wednesday was quiet and I got a lot of old stories and recommendations for trails on the mountains. Great music venue. Been here a couple times and I am always happy! The space is great and arranged so it fits every type of person. They have plenty of sofas in the back of the room and a bar for those that want to chill, listen to the music but still be able to talk. They have some more sitting up front to the right, closer to the stage, that is raised so that you can listen to the band but not be standing in the crowd. Then they have a large dance floor with whiskey barrels so you can put your drink down and dance. There is also another bar down there. The sound guys there are the absolute best and nicest people! We had a really fun time trying new drinks, learning about different liquors, and really loved the meat and cheese plate. Great aesthetic, good beer selection, good spirit selection, good sound, etc etc. The only thing keeping me from giving the fifth star is being charged $7 each for a beer listed at $4 each on the menu-a local slc lager that is exactly worth $4 in a bar setting. Ridiculously overcrowded place to see a concert. Shoulder-to-shoulder, with poor ventilation and very few places to get a good line of sight to the stage. Stage is only slightly higher than the floor, meaning that you may spend your whole night staring at the back of someone's head. Waited outside in the cold for 30+ minutes after the doors were supposed to open, then spent the rest of the night wishing someone would crack a window for the slightest bit of circulation. Would be a decent concert location if they sold about half as many tickets. Drinks were pricey but well made. Staff were attentive. read more
