He said they are intense batteries and as such couldn't sell them to me. He said he had some house brand batteries instead that were the same but could be sold to consumers and were even cheaper! So he runs around the store and grabs a different six pack of the exact same type of battery. He goes to ring them up and it's $22. I'm like what the hell? He apologies, walks around the counter, goes to where the batteries I grabbed originally were, takes the $3.99 price tag off the wall, crumples it up and put it in his pocket. He then comes back around the counter to tell me he won't reduce the price from $22. WTH? It was like being in the twilight zone.

The lifetime warranty that is complained about elsewhere is actually a good deal and I've found all locations honor it. It depends on your key fob. I have one in which the battery lasts forever so I didn't get the warranty on that one, but the other fob the battery drains every couple of months or so and this has been totally worth it.

I could not get off the back battery plate and asked store rep for assistance. The rep get the old battery out and replaced with new fresh battery in about 1 minute. I asked what I owed and was presented a $17.35 bill. I was not informed there was a charge for putting in the 3.00 battery. I did pay the bill and lodged a complaint with Battery Plus Corporate. To my great surprise Matt, the Store Manager, said he agreed with my assessment, had a meeting to instruct everyone to inform work costs before proceeding, and said that he would give me a full refund which he did on 2-4-2026. I am quite pleased that Matt was so forthright in giving my full purchase price back. I give high kudos to Matt and all the Batteries Plus store personnel. Went in to buy a battery for my car key fob. Had already opened up the fob and taken out the last…read morebattery. Employee asked me if I need help finding the battery and I say yes. He takes it behind the counter and puts in a new battery. I don't even have the car with me. I go to the register and I get charged a $15 battery installation fee. I could've bought two batteries for $999. I told the employee that you should tell people before doing the service that it's going to cost money. He says most people know when they come in. I feel very deceived. I could easily put my own battery in the key fob when I've already opened it to take the old battery out. Instead, I get one battery and pay 1.5 times the amount for what would've been the cost for two batteries. Be cautious when you go in there because they make you do a service you didn't even ask for.
