I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service at the AutoZone on Main Street in Louisville…read more An employee named Tassie, who appeared to be either a shift leader or manager, was rude and condescending from the moment we walked in. We came in to process a return, and her attitude made it very clear that she did not want to help us. To be fair, the other clerk working at the time was very helpful and polite. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was the only one providing actual customer service during our visit. After we received our store credit, we continued shopping because we intended to buy more parts. Amanda went up to Tassie and politely asked if, when she had a moment and wasn't busy, she could help look up a part number for a control arm for her Mercedes under a commercial account. Tassie responded by asking, "Is it your commercial account? Are you the owner?" Amanda answered yes and confirmed she had the PIN. After that, Tassie simply looked back down at what she was doing and refused to acknowledge us or help any further. That kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially from someone who appears to be in a leadership position. When customers politely ask for help and are ready to spend money, ignoring them is not okay. I shop at this location regularly and spend money here often, which is why this experience was so frustrating. Management seriously needs to address how customers are being treated at this store.

The car wasn't super well-loved, if you know what I mean, so we knew it would need some work. He was at AWD for several hours (he made an appointment) during which time they were not even looking at the car. When they finally did pull it in to take a look, they came back with an eye-watering estimate that included a full transmission rebuild! We were shocked to hear this, as the transmission was one of the items we were not concerned about. The car has a manual transmission with a short-throw sport shifter, and we had no issues with it at all. They did list off a few other things, including some oil leaks we were pretty sure were there, but the transmission quote really threw us for a loop. We took the car to another shop, Hackler Transmissions, to get a second opinion. We've taken a prior car with a manual transmission to them, and trust them. Hackler popped in the car, took it for quick spin, took a quick look under the hood, and told us it didn't need a thing done to the transmission. Everything worked fine, no issues. Also, no charge from Hackler for taking a look. We took the car to another shop to start having the engine work done and it did need a reseal, which AWD mentioned, so they were right about that, which is why they get 2 stars instead of one. Bottom line, though, is they were shady and dishonest about the transmission, and wanted to charge close to $3,000 for a rebuild it didn't need. Needless to say, we will never come back and will not recommend AWD to anyone else. Oh, and the shop we now go to has a Subaru enthusiast as one of the advisors, and he mentioned he did not trust AWD with his Subaru, either. There are too many dishonest auto shops in the world, it's a shame that AWD is choosing to be one of them.

On a trip back from OU she called saying something was dragging from the bottom and had pulled into a truck stop. I drove to Oklahoma got under the car and what was hanging was the lower splash shield which screws to the bottom of the chassis. Now here's what's relevant, to do a full oil change the lower splash shield must come off. . The following day after buying a new splash shield i jacked up the car and went to remove the damaged existing shield. Thats when I noticed the existing shield was missing attaching bolts and worse had been partly zip tied to the front air dam.. Final thought I had, who last serviced this car before our kiddo went off for her junior year at OU, Firestone in town. I never brought it up because I wasn't gonna ever go back there again. This was one of a succession of things that made me think. This was not a place I wanted to do business with any further. I make it a practice now to check every bit of work. That is done by anybody on our cars.Nobody is without error but this was clear negligence

Countless visits with multiple cars where…read morethis shop finds thousands wrong and the car comes out making more noises than it did when it went in. Many times we've had to take the car back so they could repair their own work. On March 1, we took a car in to have a rattling noise checked, for tire rotation and oil change; simple tasks for most shops right? The shop lied about performing the courtesy tire rotation that comes with purchasing their tires, and charged me for the full synthetic oil change that they never did. We ended up at Take 5 to get that simple task done but after looking at other reviews on various sites and the BBB site (F rating), I don't know how we were ever coming here in the first place. Don't contact corporate as they don't care either. To fix the rattle, they wanted $1600+ to replace front control arms and rear shocks. Needless to say, we'll never visit another location. UPDATE: I've been in contact with "socialcare@bfrc.com" for weeks and have been assured I'll receive a call from Firestone. No communication from the store or anyone else outside of "socialcare@bfrc.com" in weeks of correspondence. 3/25/26 Update: The vehicle has now gone through 2 visits at a 3rd party shop to perform extensive inspections to ascertain the source of the rattling. Firestone's assessment was that the front control arms / ball joints be replaced at $942.98 and for some odd reason, the rear shocks also be replaced at $627.38. That was Firestone's fix. The actual fix? $70 in MISSING hardware from the left front brake assembly! This practice lines up with everything I've read online. Assess and assign ridiculous amounts to fix the problem hoping it will. Had I agreed to the work with Firestone, the rattling would still be there. Do not take your vehicle here. If it's their tires you're after, go to Discount tire. At least there you won't walk out with thousands in recommendations on issues that don't exist.
