I had cut myself on the tread when I was checking for a slow leak or nail prior to getting to the tire shop and Cody was kind enough to find me a band aide when I got here lol it's the little things that count. He was great a trouble shooting the situation and finding a solution because I couldn't leave my car here. It's been a few years since my last review on Discount Tire at 2405 Grapevine Mills Circle. Amazingly so much has changed! I came with no appointment or notice . They Welcome walk-ins as well as Appointments that can be scheduled on line . To my surprise, the inside has been given a complete make over ! There are comfortable seats, counters with lots of space with ports to charge your electronics if needed . Benches outside if you'd like to enjoy the weather. Now the REASON I am a valued customer! They treat me like it ! No matter how busy this facility gets , they continue to Greet and acknowledge their customers presence . Friendly and Professional. The management obviously hires employees with social skills! I had Matt as my advisor , five stars for him as well . He was very patient with me . Explaining all of my options, I was very confident with the selections I chose . Never making me feel pressured to buy anything. Only suggestions. Discount Tire is Competitively Priced . They sell ALL brands of tires . If they don't stock it they make every Effort to order it . Our Experience has been a positive one for many years . For starters I love discount tire, really wouldn't go anywhere else for tire service. Having said that, my frustration and near outrage must be location specific. i brought my Tahoe in here for an alignment, which this store does, the guy came out and immediately said my tires were not good enough, and I would need new tire. the week prior they passed inspection. I couldn't believe this new scam, tires were not good enough! Looked online and found that nearly any tire that holds air, can be aligned. GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION!!! read more

This store has been a disaster for my business. After repeatedly promising a tire replacement would arrive "soon," I waited five days with no updates, and when I checked in nobody could tell me where the tire was. The staff never follows up, the manager showed no concern for the store's repeated failures, and their irresponsibility cost me business--I'm moving 13 cars away from this location. I have been coming to Discount Tire since 1990 at least - never have I ever had a bad experience at any of the many stores I have been to over the years and this store was no exception. Amazing customer service, (they had some issues with their compressor during my visit and were very communicative and apologetic- through no fault of their own- and were committed to making everyone's experience as positive and efficient as possible). I have been busy trying to get my son's car back to being road ready as it had been sitting a while. I could heard the road noise coming off the tires and could tell they needed some help. I took the car over to Discount to get the tires sorted. I was immediately met by Nate as soon as i got out of the car and was asked how he could help. Explained my tire needs and desired to rotate and balance. My tech for the day was Tyler and he got my car up on the left and we found i had a tire down to the belt and needed to get it replaced. Tyler got my tire replaced quickly and got the other tires balanced and air pressure checked. Nate then got me checked out and got a great price on my purchase and install. One of them tried to convince me that my wheel was bent, when it is not. Another employee there agreed it wasn't. When I objected, his demeanor became aggressive and intimidating. I called him out in on this and he apologized. He did go on to give my prices for wheels but I said I was not interested. They misplaced a center cap on my wheel and when I called to let them know it was missing they ordered a new one for me which I really did appreciate. However I waited over 10 days for them to call to pick it up and they never did. I finally called and they said it was there. This store is fine. Nobody is perfect but I do know that intimidating a customer is way out of line. They do work hard and they will help you get tye right tires but beware of their sales tactics. read more

I haven't gotten tires from here... yet! Though the customer service I've received from just getting my tire air pressure situated has been fantastic and honestly above and beyond! I mean I get it, the guy going just to fix his tire air pressure can probably be annoying but they've always handled it with class and evaluated my tires ( saying they were good, not trying to make me buy new ones) or even going to get me a cap cover for a missing one. I guess I've just gotten so used to excellent service at all my regular spots that I risk turning into someone who docks a star for not getting a hug when I walk in the door. Well, maybe not that extreme, but I was super annoyed at how long it took someone to acknowledge me, how long it took someone to get back to me and that after I had been there for twenty minutes, I was quoted another hour and fifteen minutes. I stopped in to get my air pressure and tread checked. I thought I would be there about fifteen minutes total. I reassessed and basically I was pissed that I actually had a nail in my tire, and that I wasn't getting the same level of awesome service that my Denton location delivers. They still got the job done though, and that's what counts. Once I was helped, I did see all the same things that remind me why I use Discount Tire in the first place. They are very thorough. This location is larger than I'm used to. They have a very open, well ventilated waiting area, free WiFi so you can work, and a view of the bays. That's a good layout. It would be better utilized if they had at least one person in the waiting room at all times though. When I arrived a little after 2:30pm on a Thursday there were two customers hard at work on laptops who had clearly been there a while and one customer consulting, who ended up not doing any work. The employee helping her and several others walked out for a while and I was left waiting for someone to acknowledge me. When I was finally spoken to, I wasn't greeted but instead asked if I was picking up. When I said no, I was asked if I was dropping off. I answered that I hope not, but was seriously wondering what was wrong with a hello and asking what brought me in. That person made me wait until someone else came in and then that person didn't act too excited to see me. When he had been outside looking at my car for more than seven minutes, I was ready to just leave. A coworker had recently warned me this location was slow, but I hadn't realized it was at this level and was questioning my decision. He returned and informed me that I didn't need an air pressure check, I had a nail in my tire.He said they would patch it for free since I still had tread, due to my warranty. That's always a positive with this company. I was confused by the wait time since they had multiple employees and empty bays. I decided to return some calls, so I stepped out. I immediately got an emailed invoice even though the work hadn't been started. That's never happened before and it made me uneasy. I had to walk across the parking lot because it's super loud around the entrance and for some reason that spot requires you access WiFi to make an outgoing call. I planned on returning to the waiting room at the one hour mark in case they were done early. However, that wasn't necessary. A very friendly employee pulled up to the curb I was perched on while making my calls twenty minutes early! He explained the work they did and reminded me that the light would stay on until I drove a while (many people forget to mention that) and the car drove great when I left! That last five minutes of interaction and the great warranty are why I use Discount Tire in the first place! After further reflection I realized my normal location also has a habit of finishing 20 minutes earlier than quoted. So maybe I'm a little spoiled by my regular location and maybe they need to work on how they engage their customers. That aside, they are just as good as any other Discount Tire. read more

We've all had those days with our vehicles, and an experience at the mechanic shop can push those emotions to the extreme. I, however, had the angels at my side today. Both my rightside wheels cracked and I needed to get my truck some help stat. It also turned out one of my tires had a chunk missing. Over the phone to check they had availability and the services I needed, Mack reassured me of my fears and welcomed me to stop by. God only knows how I made it to Discount Tire. Upon arrival, I learned that the tire with the missing chunk was under coverage (from a recent purchase I made with another Discount Tire location) and for free they would replace it. Mack and his associate Robert, diligently searched throughout their database and nearby warehouses for the best possible replacements for my wheels. Finally we found some that fit my needs, although out of my budget by a bit, I do not begrudge them this, because they offered me the option of their payment plan to ensure I could safely get my truck in running condition within that day. Mack also suggested that I use the two wheels as either spares or sell them because it's difficult to find original chevy s10 wheels like mine on the market. Robert informed me that if I wanted the services completed within Friday's business hours, the order for the wheel would need to be submitted within 30 minutes. I appreciate Robert's politeness in making me aware of the schedule to pick up the wheels. After my decision was made, Robert then proceed to pick those wheels up personally. When changing the new wheels, Mack showed me the specific damages to the wheel without the tire, so I could further understand how much of a miracle it was that my tire was still holding air. Everything that could have gone wrong didn't. Each concern was carefully and calmly worked through. I cannot stress enough how fantastic this crew was in helping me out. read more

My parents use Discount Tires frequently or whenever there are tire issues. This week, my parents had tire pressure issues with their car. I decided to go by Mills Discount Tires which all discount tires have the free courtesy air check. Aaron, the service air tech assisted in getting air in both tires. I had to compliment Aaron for his professionalism and attention to detail along with explaining the process. I understand your need for this to limit covid19 spread. However when your Grapevine store refused to balance 4 wheels and tires that were on the bed of a pickup that we had removed from the vehicle to limit your employee risk of exposure, I have to say I'm disappointed in the lack of common sense. There were no other customers at your store at the time. Employees standing around with nothing to do. Don't you need to have paying customers to pay your employees? I'm a bit baffled. Your employees would have had to simply balance tires on your machine. You wouldn't have had to climb in a customers vehicle at all. Please take the time to educate your employees. Basic common sense here. To respond to my concern, you posted the same message that you have on your Facebook page about wanting to limit coronavirus spread. There were no other customers in your store. Wake up and realize where your business comes from. That would be paying customers. Just so you realize and just so I make myself abundantly clear. You don't have me as a customer anymore and I will be going elsewhere. I will also be referring all my friends and family to Firestone because they were able to service my needs. Furthermore, I'm posting this review to warn others about your ridiculous business practices. Your limitation on service did not help you. In fact it hurt you. You were paying your employees to stand around and do nothing while you could've earned actual revenue. Here's how a business operates. You earn money from paying customers and that would be me. The Discount Tire by the Grapevine Mills Mall is the BEST. There you can expect a fast, yet thorough visit. Excellent customer service is always provided-- seriously it's always top notch! Most importantly, the Grapevine Mills Discount Tire Team is well educated on their products and tire safety. What's even better? Blue Goose is next door, so you can leave your car and go enjoy dinner or lunch (seriously so close you could throw a rock at it and Blue Goose has the BEST patio) The mall is also across the street and an easy walk. I showed up that this one and they said there was no schedule for me and that I mistakenly scheduled at the other grapevine one. Don't know how that happened! I said that's fine can you get me out before two. I have to pick up at school Joey the manager, said yeah that shouldn't be a problem. Well it was it's 209 I'm leaving without having my tires rotate balance and the tire changed, so I'm still driving on the spare. Not sure what went on, there were open bays and extra people.
