Cantankerous, grumpy, curmudgeon of an assistant manager (David G) can't find my purchase history under the phone number I've given them for years and can't access the store records from where I bought it. So he won't even exchange the jankyazz product I bought which had clearly been used and returned previously. It's really a nice being treated like a criminal when you're trying to exchange something that was used and returned before you bought it because the dreadlocked stoner who sold it to you didn't enter your phone number. I can't say I blame him since it probably would'vev been a difficult task to accomplish by the looks of him (Ballinger Way store). Come to think of it, at both stores they told me they didn't see any purchase history for the last 3 months. So it appears to be common practice for these a-holes to not enter your phone number so you're not getting any points. Sounds to me like it'd be a nice class action lawsuit. So don't trust them with your purchase history because even though they ask for your phone number, it doesn't mean they key it in which means you not only don't get points, but you won't be able to return or exchange without an old school receipt. I threw the can onto their roof and ordered from Amazon. No grumpyazz alcoholics to deal with there. read more

Upon starting my car to go on a road trip early on a Sunday morning, the battery was a no-go. Got a jump start and my neighbor recommended O'Reilly's to buy a new battery. First time at this location and I got there when they opened. Unbelievable service. They were helpful, went out of their way to remove the old battery, which had corroded and was difficult to remove. Installed the new battery and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend O'Reilly's in Kenmore. The level of customer service and expertise is bar none. Fantastic service. read more

The guys are super helpful, super friendly, never push anything on you that you don't want/need, and will even help tell you what you need. I knew I was low on a few liquids (oil and coolant) but I wasn't sure what the coolant was initially. The guy came out, looked under my hood, said 'Oh, you need coolant,' took me right to the coolant, didn't try to up-sell me, and told me to come and get him if I needed any help. Very empowering experience as a woman, which sounds ridiculous, but... They're patient, happy to explain, and don't make you feel stupid, which is everything. read more

I stopped by for new wipers today. Despite being short staffed the manager was willing to install them. My 18 Colorado had a tricky J hook and he tried 3 different blades, ultimately upgrading me to a better blade for free to get a good fit. All the while being very patient and cheerful. Very grateful for the help. I realize it is sometimes hit and miss with staff but the manager today was terrific. read more

Was with my friend last weekend when her when the light came up on her panel saying her coolant was low, which was odd since she just had it service a couple days before. So we swung by O'Reilly's on Bothell Way so she could pick up some coolant. Not having had to add it before she wasn't sure where exactly to look for it. The customer service person who we should've got the name of was nice enough to come outside so he could show here where it was. Looking at it we realized it was so far back that there was no way she would be able to pour the coolant directly from the container into the tank where it needed to go. He went back in side got a long funnel and filled it for her. He went above and beyond, and we both appreciated his help! read more

Older employee has an attitude. I went in to look for a part, told him what I needed and he just stared at me with an unwelcoming face waiting for me to give my car info. Ughm maybe you should ask me for it? Do you expect me to read your mind?! And I used the word "blinkers" and he had to correct me saying "turn signal." It's the same thing, you know what I'm talking about. It wasn't even a problem that they didn't have the part, it just seemed like he needed to feel superior to his customers. I entered the store with a smile on my face and left wanting to throw hands. I should've asked for help from the younger workers. I had a much different experience from the nice gentleman who works at Kirkland store! I highly recommend going to Totem Lake instead. read more

After a rather unfortunate event in the ferry line with a dead battery I decided it was time to get my battery checked out. Sure enough, it was bad. Jim at O'Reilly checked my battery, found the appropriate battery, and did the installation for me. The whole process took about 20 minutes. He was very kind and explained each step he was taking. I will be back to this location for my future auto parts needs. It was so convenient getting the battery diagnostic, removal and disposal of old battery, and installation of the new battery all right there. Great service. Would recommend to anyone! read more

I had a license plate that had fallen off, because it had been glued on to cover some broken bolts by the previous owner. Shout out to Mike at O'Reilly. Ok, I'm not a huge yelp reviewer but I felt this deserved a little recognition. I got a ridiculous quote from Les Schwab for a brake job, no surprise right? $1,060 for all four brakes! I decided to do it myself so started doing some online research. I've done it once before but it had been a while. Anyways, here's where O'Reilly comes in. I went into the store started looking around. I ended up talking with an older gentleman named Mike at the front counter. Mike had impeccable customer service, telling me everything I needed to know and more. He didn't try to finagle me into something I didn't need (unlike Les Schwab). I left with all the tools necessary to do the job and more importantly feeling confident in my abilities as well as someone to consult if things did go south. I saved $700 yesterday. In a day and age when everybody is so keen on paying someone else to do something, it felt great to find a shop that fosters getting your hands dirty and saving money while you do it. I can not say enough about how wonderfully I was served on a visit to O'Reilly's today. I bought windshield wipers for my car but was uncertain what to buy which were good quality and less likely to squeak! My shop guy, tall, thin, cool dresser - I should have gotten his name - went out of his way to get the best price for me he could. And then, very nicely, installed them. His attitude was outstanding! I am going to tell all of my senior neighbors at my senior apartment building to go there and trust we can be served well. read more

Storing my bike at the Kennmore Park & Ride bike box involves loosening 4 Allen key fasteners to be able to articulate my oversized handlebars so that I can fit it into the metal lock box. For this reason & the occasionally required small repair I carry a small collection of tools, including the Allen key. Tuesday evening last, I'm preparing to reassemble the handlebars when my Allen key tidly-winks off into the netherworld. I spent an hour looking for it on the ground, my face inches from the cement, going through the piles of leaves. I must have looked like a motivated crack cocaine enthusiast to passers-by. I even tried the beta version on the metal detector app on my phone. The app was not h poopelpful. While I had every other size Allen key in my kit, there were no duplicate of that size with me. At least 6 more at home but there was no way to ride the way it was. O'Riley's was a couple blocks away. Pushed my very unusual electric+ gas powered fat tire Mongoose inside the store which got those working the counters attention pretty fast. I they showed me where the Alan keys & hex keys were. No individual keys, and even though I'd seen identical sets at the $1 store, isbut here they cost$15. Then I remembered the sign in their window about loaning tools. "May I please borrow one Allen wrench for 10 minutes instead of buying an entire set that I've already got several times over (but paid far less for less for) I added silently... They handed me what I needed, I returned it and was on my way. Perhaps the profits on their Allen wrenches they actually sell fund the stores so they can provide stellar service to those of us in need. I hope whatever parallel dimension that Allen key I dropped wound up in that it's found useful by the creatures who inhabit that realm read more

Came in with some questions about a starter that only one guy in the whole store knew anything about and waited at the service desk for 40min were dozens were helped with much more indebth issues during my wait. As a woman who doesn't know much about cars, but is trying to take care of my first new car, it's nice to be able to go somewhere where the employees are always kind and helpful. I've never been talked down to and they're great about not selling me something I don't need. For example, I had paint transfer on my car and thought it'd be expensive to take off, but they recommended a bit of goo gone and a polisher and the car was perfect! Recently stopped in to get some windshield wipers and ended up getting an air filter and cabin filter, which one of their friendly staff, Phil, helped install in our car. I went to this store to replace a marine battery. I told the guy that I wanted a battery with equal cold cranking amps. I bought the battery and then went home and Installed it. Later, I found it was a much smaller battery. I went back to the store within a week and they told me I could not return it because I had installed it. I will never go back to O'Reilly's. read more
