Terrence is phenomenal!! My husband does regular maintenance to our cars, but ran into issues replacing my spark plugs. My husband gave a quick explanation of what he did and Terrence was quick to orient himself with our make/model. He suggested against buying another part, but we did buy a fuse checker at his recommendation. I was looking for a special screw for my coilovers. Lauren asked what it's for and I gave them the make and model of my car. Since the coilovers were not OEM, the correct screw did not show up in the system. Lauren looked beyond that and researched a part that may work. Sure enough, she was able to find a small wheel stud that matched my sample. They did not have it on stock but was able to locate some from another store. She had them transferred over the next day and my problem was solved. That service exceeded my expectations. Very pleased with the service received! read more

For ALL you senior gals (and guys) out there who dont know much about cars and the mere thought of entering a parts store frightens you...go to OReillys in Manteca and ask for Christopher. I dreaded going in there but also dreaded going to the Nissan dealership because I knew they would gouge me. I took a chance and figured I would stop at OReillys first and if all else failed, i would suck it up and head to Modesto. Fortunately, this nice young man not only walked me through what was wrong with my front license plate bracket...he removed it and installed the required bolts---sending me on my way with a smile. Instead of $100 plus at Nissan, I spent $10 at O'Reillys and had the pleasure of receiving good old fashioned customer service (its been quite a while since I have seen this type of service). So I came into the store needing to fix my head and tail lights. I had a gentleman by the name of Joseph help me get everything I needed to fix my lights very nice young man very helpful. All around the customer service was great, there was a man by the name of Raul and a young lady by the name of Lauren that were super nice and very helpful. I would've given this review five stars that was until an older gentleman by the name of James that was very rude and disrespectful all because I asked for help that the other guy Joseph needed. He proceeded to throw a dry paper towel at me cause I asked to use something to clean of my headlight. Horrible... Horrible customer service! Purchased air filter. Returned with air filter for refund and forgot debit card. Rep stated that they rang it up as credit card. No refund without original card. I informed sales rep I used a debit card and asked if they could use my "pay by phone app" for refund. He said no. I asked to speak to store manager just as he passed holding his lunch. I asked to speak with him for a moment. Sales rep went back and asked for manager to speak with me. Manager refused to take a moment and speak with me. Returned with debit card for refund and asked for Aaron the manager. He was rude and condescending stating "if you want to talk to me, come down to the end of the counter" I asked why he wouldn't acknowledge me while attempting to obtain a refund. He replied "Look, that's the policy in black and white!" " I was eating my lunch!" Went to Auto Zone down the street and told my story. They gave me a hat and T shirt for sharing story. I purchased parts to change oil for my 2 cars.......d following week i tried bringing back 2 gallon of recycled oil and was treated horribly......their excuse was their tank was full, then they suggested i take it to Autozone, even when i told them i bought them from d same store......all i got was lazy attitude from the 3 night employees. I called to get a price on a catalytic converter for my car. Randy answered the phone. When I requested the information,I was not sure he heard because there was no reply. So I said Hello and he replied, " I am looking it up". I did not know whether my car was a 3.0 or 3.6 engine but was looking it up. I told him it was a CXL and he told me that it was a 3.0. I asked him another question and once again no response. I said, "Sir are you there?" He angrily said I am looking it up. I said,"Do you think you could acknowledge me so I know you heard me?" He said" I am helping you best as I can". And then hung up on me. I called back, he answered. I asked for someone that has better phone etiquette and was hung up on again. read more

Wow! is an understatement for O'reilly and the wonderful people who work there. You guys are wonderful!! I had taken my car to the dealership over the weekend to have the oil changed and my battery checked. My car was not sounding right when I started it. Dealership sent me home, charging me $39 to clean my very corroded cables. Said nothing was wrong with my battery. I noticed the very next day it started the same way. Ugh! I am an old lady, limited funds--moved here 6 years ago and I have few friends to come help. I have good car insurance but I didn't think I would have to be towed--after all this is probably just a battery issue. I decided to stop at a couple of car part stores and get the battery tested--even though the almighty dealership said it was fine I had a gut feeling it wasn't. Both car part places tested the battery with the same result. I have a bad battery. BUT O'reilly's told me to come in and they would put it in for me!!! Come to find out the clamps were totally corroded and after a lot of hard work by some great guys--Kenneth, Marcos, and Hunter (and another really nice fella I can't remember his name), they replaced the clamps, replaced my battery and got me on my way. WAY TO GO GUYS!! You are my heroes!! read more

I've run into situations where O'Reilly is much better with customer service and prices and overall experience over autozone or other parts stores. But this one is TERRIBLE. I have called a few times in the last month for various parts and am put on hold for 7-10 minutes to allow the employee to "switch phones real quick". One time the Employee made fun of me not being able to think of the part name, only a description. Mimicking me over the phone. I wouldn't deal with that so i went to Autozone who happened to be cheaper and had 100% better experience, for a Manteca store and for that part. read more
