My car broke down and I went in to buy spark plugs and oil for my car. They always provide great customer service here. Matt greeted me as he was outside helping another woman with her car, and Gustavo helped me pick the stuff I needed within my budget. He offered his assistance to look at my car if I brought it there. You can tell they care about their customers here and want to use their knowledge to help us. The worker with a beard was extremely helpful and nice. Usually go to Autozone--since it's closer to charge my battery (they don't know what they're doing) and the Autozone worker said that it's a bad battery I needed a new one. So I went here because this is where I had bought my battery and it was still under warranty. The worker didn't hesistate to check it (twice) and recharge it before issuing the warrantied battery. Came back to pick it up and was told to come back again if there was anything wrong with it and Autozone tried to scam me. After installing it into my car just now, it started up as if it was brand new reading 13.8V and was stronger than ever. I've never felt a battery so strong after recharging. Don't ever go to Autozone, go to o Reilly instead for quality & easy customer service. That guy really made my day and took a lot of stress off my back. Thank you. read more

Let me say the employees that work here are really nice and will do what they can to assist you. However they are NOT mechanics. O'Reilly's offers a free electrical test on battery, alt and starter. I had one of these tests done and it showed my alternator was failing. I had my alternator replaced at over $450. Still had issues so I brought it back for another test that showed the alternator I bought at this O'Reilly's was failing. Finally took car to a local mechanic who revealed to me my starter was the problem another $600 repair. O'Reilly's is a retail store with retail associates. Again this store has excellent customer service but they are not qualified to diagnose an engine issue even from a FREE test!!!! read more

Summed up in one word: LAZY. Worst customer service experience. I walked in and waited to be helped by one of the four people behind the counter and not ONE even acknowledged me. Then a guy walked in and he was helped right away. The workers saw him get assistance and me standing there and still did nothing. I ended up just walking out. My first choice had been autozone only because of the location but I soon found that I would regret this choice within the 1st 5 minutes. A battery was being held for me and my appt waa set for 5:20pm for installation. I get there on time and a man behind the counter helps me. He looks in the system and information me not only is there no appointmentfor the battery install but there is no one there to do it for at least 40 minutesto an hour. He then walked away to assist another customer as I'm just standing there feeling a little awkard. I decided to bale but asked him if he could give me the name of who helped me on the phone, he said it was the manager Adam that took my call. thank you Adam, I won't be coming back anytime soon. I might add that my name in their system to hold the battery was way off but it's not like they will be using it. I sat in my car calling places and found a place that gave me the same price as Autozone and that would be O'Reilly's. A man by the name of Robert who was very friendly told me to come on down, the only problem was I wouldn't be able to have them install it as it showed up in their system as a 30 minute installation. I showed up with friend in hand and was attended to promptly. Robert informed me that they would price match my battery if I found it anywhere cheaper. My friend started to remove the old battery and had a little trouble with the bolts that was in a odd spot in my kia soul. Robert came and was only able to look without touching anything,he helped guide my friend with some much needed information of the removal . Robert was needed a couple more times for some generic questions and he never failed to asist with enthusiasm and that made me ever the more grateful. His customer service was top knotch the whole time I was there. My moms car battery had died. AAA came out and said she needed a new battery due to a bad cell. My dad (her husband) passed away a month ago, so this is something usually he handles. She was extremely stressed out. She called the shop and spoke to Robert. She explained the situation and he said to come on down and they would install the battery for her. She went down there and they helped her with everything. Robert was kind and helpful and took a lot of stress off of her shoulders. She will definitely be going to them for all of her needs. have ALWAYS had good luck at THIS location and NOT mchenry or carpenter - the people at those other two locations have always been trashy, unattentive, incoherent...you name it - I CRINGE at the thought at going to those two other locations - I've been told by some of the employees that they USED to be at those other two locations and that's why they're here - as long as I've been out here in the shithole central valley...I haven't yet (5 years) felt any cringe going into this location - hopefully that'll never change - if you can believe it...I've also had problems at the Ripon location - the manager there is seriously trashy and foul mouthed so I don't go there anymore either read more
