Took my car in to get checked. EPC was lighting up. Oil pressure and something to do with cam shaft. Before taking it in. We found that there was hardly any oil. Not sure if the previous place we brought it to get change oil. Forgot the oil or either it had a leak. Anyways it was fine after my husband put the oil we took it here just to be sure. KHOA N. was my advisor. He was very honest and straight out front. Made sure we did'nt have to pay an arm and a leg for something we did not need. Nothing was wrong. I do not even know where to start. I would give them a 10 out of 5 if I could. My experience with Berge VW has been amazing! Brandy is incredible. A few months ago, I woke up and my car was dead, I had gotten it replaced about a year before. Brandy had me come in the next day and replaced it while I waited because I had just started a new job and couldn't leave it. She updated me throughout the wait. She was so friendly and professional. She got me right in and out, the battery was even under warranty which was a nice surprise. This time around, I needed a loaner. I had an essay of concerns that needed to be looked at, because I brought my vehicle to another dealership a while back and they treated me terribly and never resolved any of my issues. When I arrived Niko (I believe his name was), came out and greeted me with a smile, took my keys to move my vehicles up to the correct spot in the service drive. Brandy already had all the paperwork pulled up, ready for me and my appointment. The whole time they had my vehicle, she updated me, advised the issues they found, confirmed the noises and concerns I had. Took care of it all with a smile on her face. She is so down to earth and just a genuinely a good person. After I had my vehicle for a day or two, she called me to check in. To make sure that everything seemed alright with the vehicle. After repairing all the concerns, the other dealership "could not duplicate".... we did find a few things we will get looked at in the future. I don't normally leave reviews but this time I had to! My car had died and was having multiple issues, I was stuck in Glendale just waiting for a car accident to happen. I was balling my eyes out and I had to get my car jumped three or four times in a day. I drove to 5 different auto zones begging for people to help me and no one would. #boycottautozone These are teenagers who use google to help. I had just enough battery left on my phone, and I gave my last chance to Berge VW service, this is not made up or anything. A nice gentleman named Khoa answered the phone and I cried to him like a crazy person and he said bring it in and we will help you. The next morning I limp my car into the service and they remembered me. It wasn't even a question, not a hesitation, and they went to work. KHOA and BRANDY! Omg thank you. After further activity with Berge, and there service team I would have to say my experience with them left me feeling very disappointed. When I first went in to get the car maintenance after noticing that the pads and routers were not in good condition, everything was smooth and I was told I would get a call later on in the day or tomorrow about what is needed to work on and what not. So I waited one day than called myself since there was no reach out yet and when trying to get the information about my car, all I would get is a hangup or told my manger will be with you shortly but than shortly goes to no-where. After all the frustration I made a review of how terrible of a service I was being given. I had to call 8 people just to find one person that can claim to help me, it felt more like a scam than a shop to me, when I finally got there to see my car I was confronted about my review by service and was told "are you gonna take that down now" than I was shocked that they read it and I said to him well it didn't feel good getting hanged up on 8 times and not getting it looked at 3 days after I took it in. He than assures me by saying "well you know it's not a brand new car" witch just made me feel not any better about my purchase with them adding a sly to it saying "well did a lil something to it for you" witch raised alarms in my head, now I will be getting my own report on the vehicle and taking it to a different location as suggested by the dealers at the store themselves. P.S they do have nice cars just don't go to the service shop they are what I'd like to say lazy. read more

The thought of entering another car dealership to purchase a slightly used SUV for my daughter made me cringe after the last "all day and into the night" disaster of a purchase at another dealership in North Phoenix, but the team at Berge VW quickly changed my tune with their "no pressure", helpful, and incredibly great customer service! I went to Berge Volkswagen on 09/12/2025 because my check engine light went on the day prior. I was in an emergency situation as I had friends visiting from Chicago and we were going to Sedona on 09/13 and planning on taking my car. My initial thought was that it was the battery that caused the check engine light. I have a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan. So I made an appointment and set it up for 09/12 at 9:30am. The vehicle I have is still under warranty so I thought it would take care of the battery. The technician checked and stated it indeed was the battery and I needed a new one. I agreed to get it done but then the technician says it would be $505.00 but he will do it for $485 as the warranty doesn't cover the battery. I immediately am startled and ask why so much. I've had numerous cars and never paid anything close to that. He said the car needs a special battery and special programming after it's installed. He assures me that it's normal price and that it's what most places would charge because the programming is difficult. I hesitantly agree as I knew I needed the car fixed so I can go to Sedona the next day as I had hotel reservations made and did not want to cancel. They take the car into the shop and tell me it will be done in a 5-6 hours and then I can pick it back up. When I leave, I visit both Costco and AutoZone as well as call and they tell me a standard battery for a 2021 VW Tiguan is between $130-180, depending on the battery. I bring up how much I was being charged and they were blown away. The AutoZone salesman told me to call Berge VW back and cancel the service right away as he'd install it for me if it was purchased at his AutoZone for free!! He said there is nothing special about a battery for that type of car or nothing extra for the programming. I immediately panic and call my mechanic friends and they tell me I got massively ripped off and that the technician who charged me is probably laughing about how he hustled me and got a higher commission. I got back to the dealership to pick up my car when they let me know it was ready. I asked for a discount and eventually he charged me $465 for the total cost. The only thing done was the battery. The technicians didn't even have the decency to program the time correctly after and gave the car a horrible car wash with streaks throughout the windows. For that price, I'd expect everything to be pristine in the car. I reluctantly paid as there was nothing I could do but this was a horrible lesson for myself. This was price gouging at its finest. He knew I was in an emergency and would pay because I had no options. But it hurt me financially really bad. I'm partly to blame but be careful at being scammed. Something so simple as a battery should not be listed at an original price of $505. I'm not driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini, it was a Tiguan. I've been the laughing stock of my friends after they found out how much I paid. Lesson learned but be careful. Dealerships are called Stealerships for a reason. The reputation they have for being sleazeballs is there for a reason. All they see is dollar signs. I'm not the richest man in the world so this was a huge hit for me financially. I felt like the dealership took serious advantage of me. I very rarely ever in my life have left a negative review, but after so many second opinions, I just don't want the same thing to happen to anyone else. read more

This dealership/service department gets 1 star. DO N0T service your vehicle here. Just located the source of a "rattling" that has been ongoing and persistent for some time on my id.4. The rattling is coming from the overhead grab handles. Let's go back in time now to December 28, 2023. I had service work done on my vehicle at this exact dealership where work had to be conducted on the sunshade components for the retracting sunshade on the roof of the vehicle. During the uninstall process or during the installation of the new sunshade, the service department removed the overhead grab handles. The technician doing the drivers rear door side must not have been too good. They busted the grab handle, leading to an eventual "rattling" noise while driving. Left side shown with the busted clip. Right side of the handle hangs loosely. Pictures are worth a thousand words and I'm betting this dealership has no words to explain this. This dealership cuts corners. Stay away. Short version of this: this dealership will break your vehicle and then try to cover it up and hide damages. read more

Buyers Beware - Berge Volkswagen Will Leave You Hanging I don't even know where to begin, except to say this: stop and think twice before buying from Berge Volkswagen. I recently purchased a brand new 2025 VW Atlas, and from the moment I signed the paperwork, things went downhill fast. I've had nothing but issues -- with the vehicle itself, the finance process, and the sales staff, including multiple unreturned calls from sales managers who apparently vanish once the sale is made. It's been over a month, and I'm still waiting to hear back from someone -- anyone -- in charge regarding a fix for my car. The moment you drive off the lot, you are no longer their problem. This dealership seems focused only on moving cars off the lot, with no accountability, no follow-through, and certainly no customer care after the sale. I expected better from a VW dealership -- especially when buying a brand-new vehicle. If you value transparency, communication, or ongoing support, look elsewhere. This is a review of service. Berge is far from my house, but Earnhardt VW -which is closer- ignored me after I left three messages for them in a week. Service never answered the phone, and the operator even left them a message. Nothing. So I came here. Service answered the phone, they scheduled the service quickly, and when I showed up they were expecting me. They seemed to do a good job. Took a little longer than they said it would, but then they did a little something extra for me. They really seemed concerned about customer service. I like that. And then they ran the car through the wash. I could ding them for not having a basket of snacks, like most service places do. They have vending machines. Also, there wasn't a lot of seating.
