Saying this, I fully understand that parts stores don't pay the best, but I also feel like if a company is in business to sell auto parts, I'd hope they would put staffing with knowledgeable people in their business model, even if it means paying more to get better. I've primarily shopped at this store for parts the entire 10 years I've lived in the area. For about the past 5 years they've had a woman working there with horrible customer service skills. One time I was looking for a molded heater hose and was given the ok from someone behind the counter to go down their hose aisle in the back to match up what I was working on because they didn't have what I needed by application. While down the hose aisle, this female employee was stocking the shelves in the same aisle. I asked her if she thought these two hoses were the same diameter and she freaked out, as if I was trying to corner her and force myself on her. That's right, me standing 12 feet away on an aisle with openings on the each end apparently violated her space so much that she needed to have a full blown episode over it. Fine. I continued to shop at this store, but avoided her as much as possible. Generally, she was outside smoking in front of the store each time I came, so never really had to interact with her too much. Recently, I visited the same store to pick up an air filter. When I walked in, there was nobody at the counter, so I found the filter myself, then went back to the counter to pay. There was still nobody working the counter or on the floor. I could hear the same woman taking on the phone in the back. Myself and a few other customers waited for a few minutes, then I called the store's phone number. It rang a few times then I heard someone pickup and immediately hang up. So I called back. The woman who freaked out on me a couple years ago answered. I said that I'm at the counter and would like to give her some money. She said "ooooh kaaaay, as soon as I have someone available they will be up" then promptly hung up. I tossed my air filter behind the counter and left. I went to O'Reilly's and paid less. I don't really see myself coming back.

Do not trust them! They tried to tell me I needed $2k+…read morerepairs. Got a second opinion and all the parts they said needed replaced were in perfect condition. This is so unethical because my car, although only 75k miles is very very old and they no longer make parts for it. So after-market and expensive parts would be used. The issue is my cars computer system does not like after-market parts and often rejects them, so just changing parts would have caused me a lot of trouble in the future. Very unethical to 1.sell something I don't need and 2. knowing it would be a severe downgrade from the original parts. Also, the price they quoted for parts was highly inflated. My friend showed me the parts online and, although would be higher at a shop, these were outlandishly higher. My mechanic friend is positive they were giving me the "woman price" and it felt that way. Lastly... this is primarily a tire shop, right? So when they said it wasn't safe for me to drive off unless I had my lug nuts replaced, this tire shop didn't have the lug nuts in stock. What tire shop doesn't have lug nuts in stock? They were friendly and communicative about it. They called around and found some and had them brought to their shop, which was nice of them to do that. It took about 5 hours and $200 to replace all lug nuts (which, by the way) resolved the original problem I came in for. Glad I got a 2nd opinion somewhere else because none of these things needed to be replaced. They saw a single woman in a nice car and tried to do a scam. They would have done more damage replacing original parts with aftermarket. I thought we could trust mechanics in 2026, but now I am skeptical of all mechanics. They give their profession a bad name.

I found one on line and after a phone call with Kitsap Muffler in Gorst, I stopped by and they made sure I was ordering the right parts. Today, they installed it in about 90 minutes. The manager, the service technician and the scheduler really know their business and were extremely helpful. If you need a muffler or trailer work, I highly recommend this business.

There was one major issue. I told the owner that I was going to be taking my car on a long road…read moretrip and I needed all the safety checks done, tires checked, oil changed etc etc. When I went to pick up the car I specifically asked him about the tires and he said they looked good. Part way on my trip the sidewall of one of the tires gave out. The tire repair shop was flabbergasted to find that my tires were 25 years old. I had absolutely no idea they were that old (I did not put the tires on the car, I bought it second hand). I was relying on Blue Canary to do the paid for safety checks for me. When I returned to Blue Canary and told the owner (manager?) what I had discovered he definitely did not act surprised, dismayed, or even apologetic. He said he doesn't typically check the age of the tires. Something that several tire experts I spoke to said should be one of the first things done! It is extremely fortunate that I did not end up in a serious accident. I definitely would never rely on his assurance that things were taken care of and safe. In addition to the subpar service related to tire safety I also paid a considerable sum of money to have my engine cleaned. It definitely was not cleaned (didn't look like it had been cleaned at all). A rodent deterrent pack had been put inside the hood.... A very EXPENSIVE rodent pack since it appears that was all my expensive "engine cleaning" involved. He did offer to re-clean it when I got back to town and he was willing to do so when I brought it back in. However when I started talking with him about the situation with the tires I got totally disgusted with his attitude and left. I will not be back. And if you are concerned about anything that could be related to safety I would be cautious having it serviced by Bainbridge Blue Canary.
