I found out the hard way I was going to need a new alternator, I barely made it home, the battery went dead just as I parked. I had bought the battery at Advance, on the advice of the Techs at nearby Brakes Plus, another place I trust 200% to work on my auto! So, I bought a whole new battery, to go along with the new alternator install job. I brought the dead battery to Advance for the core credit $22. But, listening to my story, the staff said Let us try recharging it, and put my phone # on the battery. They said Come back a bit before we close if we don't call (these guys get very busy, lots of customers) I arrived later, the old battery now was fully charged again, so I will keep it, instead of the $22. When they began servicing my vehicle, they discovered that the drain bolt from a previous oil change (done elsewhere) had damaged the oil pan. Instead of sending me away with a costly repair, they replaced the oil pan, gasket, and drain plug and still completed my oil change--all at no charge!! They were honest, professional, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. This could have easily turned into a very expensive situation, but they handled it with integrity and care. I brought it back in and they said they would fix it, but first I needed to pay for the installation again. I'm not joking.
