I had an amazing experience today a very Rainy day at the Sunland O'Reilly auto parts. I had no headlights and a wonderful man that worked there by the name of BENJI, helped me get the new bulbs and installed them for me. He was very courteous helpful to not just me but other patrons in the store that were standing in line before he could help me he needed to help them as well and he did so with such kindness what an asset the store has to have him as a team member! Been to this O'Reilly location several times for random small repairs and parts over the years. One thing I can say is my dude Benji working at this O'Rielly has excellent customer service skills. Today I came for a quick headlight replacement, and he helped me install it in less than 10 minutes. In an age where customer service is getting worse and worse, any company with the luck to have Benji working for their business is super lucky. Actually a decent store, helpful in person. ONLINE ordering sucks! You get an "estimate" on when the part will be ready... and also to wait for confirmation that the part is ready.. but when it's an hour after the "expected" time it's ready and you decide to go to the store, the employees act like it's a huge inconvenience that they actually have to do their job. I understand if the store were busy, but when you show up and are the only one at the store, is it that hard to go get the part off the shelf and complete the order without acting like I've interrupted you're 'free' time. It's easier just to go to the store and ask for the part with the part number. read more

My headlight went out during the huge rainstorm in L.A. and I went to the Sunland O'Reilly's and Gus was looked like he was about to be off work, but saw me wet and standing in line and immediately helped me. I got my first (used) car with a reverse light out this past March and had no idea how to deal with it. After wandering around the store, I just asked the employee in the front. The employee that helped me was fantastic and not condescending at all despite my apprehension with anything car-related involving the use of a tool, which is a big reason I often avoid auto servicing as a woman, but this place helped alleviate my anxiety. I had a problem with my A/C in a car, I decided to go to this one O'Reilly instead the analog for a refrigerant. I bought already few times at other stores and they always a special pipe and adapter to help me fill up my A/C. So they said they have never had it and they can't borrow me any, they tried to sell it to me, that thing cost at least 30$, but I can not do anything without it. Later, sitting in the car at the entrance to the store, I saw how the same salesman who said that they do not have an adapter took him to another buyer (Mexican, and the seller was also a Mexican). I went to find out why he could not bear it to me, he started talking silly silently and then he said that this adapter belongs to that buyer, but then I saw how that buyer returned the adapter to the seller and left :) It's not even disrespectful, it's just ridiculous. I'm not surprised why that store is always empty So I prefer to use the other popular analog AutoZ..., they always have all tools and can help. Very friendly. read more

I got into an accident on the 210 Friday coming home from work and got side swiped. Luckily I was ok and the only damage was my driver side mirror came completely off. I ended up ordering one online and was bound and determined to install it myself. Well yesterday I went in to O'Reilly's and bought the wrong wrench ‍. Stopped there today to return it and ask exactly which one would work. An amazing man named Henry went above and beyond, not only did they issue me my refund right away, Henry took the necessary tools from their own supply and came outside and installed my new mirror for me. My dad died a few years ago, and so I don't really have a guy I can call on in times like these. Henry doesn't know how much what he did means to me. I hope corporate sees this, and does something special for Henry. I'm new to Sunland, and I have grown to love the people in this neighborhood! read more

As far as auto parts stores go they are acceptable. They generally have what I need and have a good range of hours. The service is mediocre though. For example, today when I went in two guys were working on trying to fix something when we walked in. Didn't say hi, didn't ask of we needed any help. Got what I needed and brought it up to the register and had to wait for them to stop what they were doing to ring us up, didn't ask if we found everything or such, then walked away and kept talking with the other guy and continued working on whatever it was while I paid on the screen. Then had to wait while he walked back to hand me my receipt. Again, no thank you, have a good day, etc. I felt like I was interrupting him. How dare I, the customer, buy something. Rude. I'll still come here because it's convenient, but not when I need help or expertise, and definitely not for good service. read more

Yesterday I had dinner in a restaurant and when I came out my car had some front end damage. Not being able to deal with that through my insurance being a weekend I thought to come to your establishment and perhaps somebody could recommend some sort of tape to hold it in place until Monday. In steps Matthew to the rescue! Not only did he do A fantastic job taping my car up and going as far as to make sure the headlights work but he would not take any money for his service. He did not try to sell me any tape and all he offered me was a kind handshake in return. I kissed his hand in gratitude. There should be more young men like Matthew working for establishments like O'Reillys. I will never go anywhere else for my car care needs. Matthew deserves a raise! I go in here after talking to one of the guys on the phone. After confirming with him when I bring you proof through RockAuto that I can get this belt for 33.76 you can match it right, he said for sure no problem. I go in and a lady helps me out after her using her phone I guess to check what I brought in she tells me the shipping is 3-5 days and it's 5.99. I said what does shipping have to do with anything can you match the price or not. She said our price is 71.99 for the same belt and minus 5.99. So basically they do not price match at all and was a complete waist of my time. By the way this part is cheaper by far from several different vendors not just rockauto. read more

I went in to get a new battery. The lady at the register didn't even look at me when saying "How may I help you?" The two obese workers were sweating and very unenthusiastic about their job. I got the battery I needed, I was ready to pay for it, and I asked the lady if they would be able to help me install it, due to the fact that my hood does not stay open on its own. She looked over at another worker and asked "can you help install it?" and he rudely and loudly said "NOPE" and she looked back at me and said "Sorry, we don't have enough people to cover it now, you can come back tomorrow." I said "really? are you joking?" Then I said "forget it, i'll buy it somewhere else." As I was walking out, the RUDE guy said "I can lend you the tools if you'd like." I said "NOPE" and walked out. My daughter purchased a steering wheel cover and it was too big for her car so I went to return it with the original receipt but this very skinny lady who happened to be the manager told me "what am i gonna do with this?" I mean wow! can you get any more ghetto?? I hope that someone from their headquarters or somewhere in that company is reading this and knows how disgusted I was from her nasty attitude and her not willing to help me at all with this return. The item in question was only couple days old, not used, and we had the receipt. She didn't even agree to give us store credit so my daughter could purchase something else for her car. Even after we were done shopping and at the counter they acted like it was a grudge for them to help us.
