If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Tania was an absolute angel! I came in asking for help with two things; check my battery life and change my headlight bulbs because they had blown the night before. Tania greeted me so respectfully and did not make me feel like it was going to be a hassle to help me and she proceeded to do just that. She simply said yes, I can help and asked me to pop the hood of my car. I've been to other Autozone's before and I've always felt uneasy with the service provided but I am SO GLAD that I came to this location. She informed me my battery was good and how often I should check it. I was already appreciative for that but then she went ahead and changed my light bulbs herself and I was absolutely grateful. Can save you hundreds of dollars - Juan is the best! ​I cannot recommend this AutoZone enough, specifically the manager, Juan. I came in frustrated because I had just paid to have a new alternator installed, yet I was still having issues. Juan tested the "old" alternator, and it passed--meaning wasted money at a mechanic. ​Instead of just sending me on my way, Juan told me to bring the car back immediately while he was still on shift. He performed a full diagnostic for free (a service I didn't even know existed!) and pinpointed the actual error. He didn't just tell me what was wrong; he taught me how it worked, gave me a quick "auto history lesson," and showed me exactly how to fix it. ​He even went above and beyond by recommending a local spot for dent and paint repair. This automotive establishment used to be one of the best in the business for people who were mechanic enthusiasts and enjoy working on their cars, however lately their lack of commitment to help their customers, which the majority are local residents, community in other words, have fallen down to the floor. Today my friend's car check engine came on and I told her to go and have them check for free or at least that's what they advertised, and a young man told her they don't do that, and instead I can borrow you the computer and you need to do it yourself, my friend who is a cancer survivor and doesn't have the enough resources at the moment wanted to find out how to get it fixed in a inexpensive way was very disappointed, including me who has had several cars and they used to be my option to buy parts, I took the time to call ones she call me and told me the outcome and I believe I spoke to the young man who help her, and gave me a lame excuse " they don't do that anymore and it's very simple to do it" to me that's a ridiculous and condescending way to avoid help a needed customer. In bustall customers are supposed to be treated in a fairly way and respectful way that's management 101, instead she went to their competitor down the street ( O'reilly auto parts) and a young lady help her and the code was showing nothing but gas cap, my friend bought it and she went on her way to a doctor's appointment. I came in to purchase a 12 V battery for my Prius. They had it in stock (I called first), so I went to pick it up that same day. Luckily, their hours are pretty convenient. Unfortunately, they don't install batteries on Priuses. Not sure why since it was just the regular 12 V battery. Another reason for the 3 stars is that when they quote the price, they quote the pre-rebate price, meaning minus the $18 they refund you for letting them keep your old battery. Since I had to go somewhere else to get it installed, I didn't get that price. read more

My wife went to their store to get a replacement breaklight. Used their system to select the part. Turns out the bulb was wrong. I took it back for a refund and was told by the shift manager that I could only get an exchange or store credit without the receipt. Returned with receipt and was told I could only get an exchange or store credit without the receipt and original credit card. 3 trips that included a system failure and two service failures by the shift manager. By far some of the worst customer service I have ever seen, the Fatman (I'll call him that) barks at customers with his heavy accent. When he sees you walk in with a backpack, he barks "Hey! No backpacks in herrrre!". It's like communist Russia but without the utilitarian prices. Like I am really going to have you hold a $2k leather bag behind your counter....sure Fatman....surrreeee. Then the Fatman smokes his cigarettes outside about 4 ft from the store door. Never helps anyone and is simply rude to patrons. Clearly, there are smoking zone laws in the city of LA but they don't apply to you eh...Fatman? Instead you have your little domain with your cheap cigs and a job you clearly hate. Oh and did I mention I watched your push around other employees...even harass them? No CCTV here to watch your slacker behavior? And ya the prices are BS. You can get far cheaper from Amazon or another car parts shop. But nooooo....you won't have the luxury of the Fatman yelling at you over stupid bullshit spark plugs. Imagine that? Last week I went to this store around 10 am to buy a window wiper for my car. A very nice boy with a great smile asked me if he can help me. I gave him the year and model of my car, she show me the different options for the window wiper, charge me, and before I leave I ask him if he can help me install it He open the boand went outside to help me. As soon he saw the window wiper he said " your wiper its new" they just forgot to take the plastic shield" He went back to the store, talk to the manager and return me the money. It is uplifting to get this kind of customer service, most important, Honesty and professionalism . I will need tires soon, and now I know where I am going to get it. Doesn't get much better. They changed out my windshield wipers which were tricky to do and they even broke one. They changed out my battery. They run a diagnostic on a check engine light twice and they've offered to change out my air filter and cabin filter when I need it. There's was no wait time. Great job guys. read more

I went in this morning when there was no other customer and the three employees seemed to be busy. The aisle I needed was clearly labeled so I walked over and started spinning the rack that had the products I needed, looked up and down but couldn't fine the correct size. I did not even remove a single item from the hanger. A minute later an employee with a pricing gun and a "Frederick" name tag comes over. I thought "great, he came over to help." However, he had come to admonish me by saying "Please put things back in their places. I spent a lot of time earlier fixing that." Wow! Really? Reading Brendas experience make me to want to share mine. It was a Sunday and my brake lights were going in and out. First thing I think to replace is the light bulbs. That didnt stop problem. Then I replace fuse under dash and that didnt fix problem either. I changed two fuse under hood and it didnt fix problem. Google told me to check stop light switch. By then I had been to autozone 3 times. This time I need to look up part and there's only 2 guys. One with long hair and one with freedom tattoo. I now know his name is Adrienne. Adrienne had an attitude with me. Every time he ask me about my car to find the part his nostrils get wider. I thought he was mad the computer ask so many question to find part but it was me he flare his nostrils at not computer. When Adrienne go to the back to get stop light switch I asks the guy with long hair what is his problem? The guy with long hair tells me to check out the red truck. Thats all he said. Check out the red truck he whispered. When I leave I check out the red truck. It is a Maga truck. Similar to Cesar Soyoc who mail bombs to politicians last year. Adrienne truck has many political message and propaganda. I guess that's why he didn't treat me with respect. Because I'm not blond hair and blue eyes. From that day I never go when the Maga truck is in the lot. Thursday I drive by to maybe get windshield wipers for the rain prediction but I see maga truck and I keep going. 3/31/19 update: I was forced to come to this store on Tuesday. My Tío came down from AZ for my Moms Bday. From Sunday to Friday he was doing what he does, work on cars! I told him that I may have some sort of electrical short. After looking at my car he concluded my battery post may need to be cleaned, and or my clamps needed to be changed. I wanted to go to Oreillys, he wanted to go to autozone which is closer. I finally had to tell him why I refuse to go to autozone. I told him about Adrian H. I told him about the disrespect, the eye rolls, the aggression. Hoping he'd understand and agree to Oreillys, I was sadly wrong. He started ranting about being born and raised in Pacoima blah blah blah, so off to autozone we went. Now thanks to my fellow yelpers I know that Adrian drives a red gmc truck with black trim. I know what the truck looks like, and I know that the truck switched from regular license plates to dealership plates possibly to mask illegal activities, and I know there were pictures posted here showing this. I now see those pictures and those reviews have been removed. They're gone from yelp, but not gone completely. I'd printed out, screen shotted, and forwarded much of that to autozone corporate prior to the disappearance. IDK how, IDK why, but maybe yelps legal disclaimers about businesses not being able to pay to remove reviews are bogus. I don't know, but I liked being informed and in the know. I may be deleted as well, but I genuinely appreciate your efforts)))) Anyway, knowing what to look out for, as soon as we pulled in the lot I breathed a sigh of relief because I did not see Adrian's truck. The last thing I need is for my Mother's youngest brother getting in trouble defending me. Don't know if I'd forgive myself. My relief however turned to anxiety when I asked myself what if Adrian is driving another car? What if his truck got impounded by the cops behind the alleged bogus plates? I became anxious. As my uncle finished his phone call before turning off the car I nervously tried to see who the h*ll was working the register?! What a headache. Long story short (which I'm clearly incapable of), that thug wasn't there. I could see the guy had hair and glasses. Tío got what we needed without incident. Thank God...My battery still doesn't seem to be firing strong, but whatever the problem may be I'll continue to shop at Oreillys unless it's an item that has an autozone warranty. In that case I'm forced to go to one away from my home which is worthy of one star. read more

Every time I go to this place, it's down hill. I own a local auto repair shop in town, only a block away. You would think that out of convenience I would use them - not even if they paid me. Aside from the quality of parts being total crap, the employees ask the computer everything, and in turn, the computer asks them a million irrelevent questions in response. Do you really need to know if my car is 2WD for wiper blades? I've gone when I'm in a rush for a customer, and I usually regret it. If you know what you're buying, and don't need any help... great. If you need them to walk over to the computer, you better remember or have the used part you need replaced handy - they're likely to give you the wrong part. 3 times in a row. I go to them when I'm desperate - like when my upper radiator hose blew on my BMW at 7pm one evening. I didn't have one handy, and most (especially european) parts places are closed at that hour, so I went to autozone hoping that they would have it. While I was lucky they did, I was not so lucky that whoever stocks/tags their inventory is a top-shelf idiot. Do you want to know how they tag a HOSE? The tag it with a plastic ring/tag holder GOING THROUGH the hose... about 2 inches past the edge. Common sense is apparently not so common. I looked at the guy, who was holding it up to me by the tag. I chuckled and said, "Are you kidding me?" He looked at me confused. "You DO realize it's going to leak from there, right? Why would you guys pierce a hole in a hose?!" He just laughed and said "I don't know.. sometimes we stock them that way...maybe it won't leak..but yeah, it's the only one I have." I took it anyway, as I was lucky they even had one and had somewhere to be within the hour. I figured just buying another hose the next day is still cheaper than hiring a tow and less convenient than being without a vehicle. As anticipated... it immediately started dripping from that exact spot. My personal opinion: I would rather wait an hour for reputable parts to be delivered from parts suppliers in the valley. They're usually the correct parts too. THAT HELPS. read more
