I love this place. Rene was spectacular in solving a difficult issue with my old 2002 Toyota Truck. Battery kept going bad. I had purchased a new battery from a different parts place and it was dead within 6 mos. The warranty allowed me to replace it which I did, but six months later it went bad. I went to my good mechanic who could not solve my issue. But thw girl at o reillys did. We together figured out why my new battery after only six months was going bad. Twice it happened. I had to think hard about why the battery was dying. She said something is draining it at night. And then it dawned on me. My okd truck had a new alarm system installed by an outside vendor at Hamer Toyota. It was expensive but I wanted to ensure no one would steal it. Well it was taking up too much power all night. And I only drive it about once a week. So she said you need a heavy duty for like a bigger truck to keep it from dying. I said let's do it. I bought a newer stronger battery and new cables and had American Tire Depot put them all in properly and they said it was free!!! Love ATD..i tipped the guy $50 for his work and left happy. Since then my truck has been starting right up and I think we solved the issue. Phew! read more

I came here after trying to install spacer on my truck, then finding out the shop who had installed my wheels torqued down the lugs so tightly they swelled and stripped. George stepped in immediately and offered to remove the stripped bolts for free. (A 10 minute job which I would surely be overcharged for at a random shop.) I bought this alternator at O'Reillys my mechanic. I spent an hour installing it and it didn't work. He had to uninstall it and then I went to AutoZone and bought an alternator that reliably works. The manager made it seem that I would have to bring in the vehicle with the alternator not working and how am I going to do that when you're not supposed to drive with a faulty alternator does that make sense to any of you so I had my mechanic take it out I just brought it back and said look this doesn't fit and they returned it But the reality is it didn't work. There is an employee named Ejmin who works at the Montrose/La Crescenta O'Reilly store. Every time I visit the store he greets me, is friendly, helpful, and always goes out of his way to listen to your needs. I am not a mechanic and have to watch YouTube videos just to perform the simplest tasks - like change my oil and filter. Ejmin never makes me feel like an idiot or talks down to me. He answers my questions because he wants me to be successful. I could order parts online from Pelican or Rock Auto and maybe save a few pennies. But I would far rather return to O'Reilly knowing that I am going to get great service from Ejmin. Hopefully, O'Reilly execs at the top will recognize and acknowledge this guy. They are really nice. After getting ding donged by AAA i bought a battery from O'reilly and they installed it -was so easy compared to AAA insisting your battery still works when you've having to jump start your car every morning and blaming it on your starter or alternator in fact I've replaced those several times due to AAA accusing those to be the issue not the battery. I feel like AAA eats up my allotted visits by jump starting near dead batteries instead of replacing them. I really like O Reilly if they don't have the part they will just order it for you, super easy to deal with them. In the end, once I replaced the batter my car was totally fine, perfect. I will say though, that if they don't have the part in stock sometimes they will sell you an alternate part. One of the batteries was smaller and I did have problems and I finally figured out they were out of the match and sold me an alternate batter that really didn't fit the car and didn't work well, ultimately I had to get a refund. This La Crescenta O'Reilly really is a neighborhood auto parts store. We started having battery issues with our hybrid during the winter break, and after a jump start that worked for about 3 weeks, the aux battery once again failed to start our car. This was a specialty battery, so it took a while to find a place that had it in stock with decent prices. I know O'Reilly is not usually the cheapest place to buy auto parts, however Chris was able to find me a discount that I could use that did make it cheaper than other "big name auto part stores" in the area. We even got a quote from a local auto repair shop for battery and install which was almost double what the O'Reilly battery cost. But what made this an excellent neighborhood O'Reilly was the excellent service that Chris provided in addition to just selling the battery. First, he wanted to test the battery to make sure we needed one. Second, when it was determined to be a bad battery, which already confirmed what we knew due to needing mulitple jump starts, Chris actually installed it for us for no extra charge! So in actuallity, even though the price of the battery was similar to other stores (even cheaper with the discount Chris was able to find), the extra service Chris provided made it much more valuable and worth it. Very glad to have this store near our neighborhood which had a needed part in stock and installed less than an hour! read more

Came in twice asking for help replacing a very simple part, and even brought photo reference each time. Was told by two different employees to just look for myself in the huge selection of parts and try to find one that "looked similar." When I asked what they would do if they were in my situation, they laughed and said they would bring in the part that broke, which I obviously did not have. Not once did they offer to help me look for a match, and neither time was the store busy. Zero stars if that were an option. UPDATE: Drove to the Autozone five minutes away.
