My friends and I normally come in larger groups and the service is great regardless! Every waiter/waitress is kind and accommodating.

Being from the Philly area, we honestly don't have a ton of really good, authentic Korean BBQ options around here. I'm so tired of the fake k-pot style bbq....I've eaten authentic Korean BBQ in KOREA, in Vegas, my mom's house ;), NYC Koreatown, Annandale/Northern VA, and plenty of other places over the years, so I'm probably a little harder to impress than most when it comes to Korean food. That said -- this place in Exton is legit. I drive about 40 minutes just to come here, and there are plenty of restaurants much closer to me. That alone probably says enough. The meat is consistently fresh and good quality, the banchan actually tastes like Korean banchan should, and the whole meal just feels authentic rather than some watered-down version of Korean BBQ made for people who have never had the real thing. The flavors, marinades, side dishes and overall experience remind me of the Korean food I grew up eating and the places I've eaten at in Korea. That's hard to find around the Philly suburbs. Open late like good kbbq spots are supposed to, good drinks, not fancy, but authentic. What brings me back to my childhood - stainless steel thin metal bowls, cups, water out of a jug, absolutely nail the combination of quality, authenticity, and price. There is a reason I'll drive 40 minutes each way when I'm craving Korean BBQ instead of just picking somewhere closer. If you know Korean food, you'll appreciate this place. If you don't know Korean food yet, this is a pretty damn good place to start. read more

First time here and it was great, staff were friendly and checked in multiple times to make sure everything was going well. They were able to accommodate solo dining like myself which was fantastic, although it wasn't busy when I went. The quality of the BBQ meats were better than I expected. The side dishes were amazing as well, really enjoyed the pickled radish. I also had fried rice cakes and gyoza which came out very crispy and fresh. I think my favorite two of the meats were definitely the Kalbi marinated steak and spicy pork belly as both had lots of flavor and were very tender. Super excited that there is a kbbq place here! Finally got to go during lunch and was not disappointed. It is a little more expensive than other places but the meat quality is better. There are 4 different banchan options. Lots of soups and sauces are also available! My favorite is probably the bulgogi. All the meats were tender, if you don't think they are then you might be overcooking it. Service was good but there was only two other tables there at the time. One year...that's right! This hidden gem has been sitting in Exton Pa for what seems silently for a year. I say silently because I should have been seen it, went to it and yelped it. Welp better late than never. I came across this chill, cozy, comfortable restaurant that offers way more than a chat and chew environment (which unfortunately the Exton area has more than enough off so this spot is not only welcome. It is needed!) And just so we're clear the K -BBQ as it reads on the physical sign is the same restaurant as O2 K-BBQ found in a quick Google search. The physical sign and the name that appears on the web don't match. I confirmed this with our hostess. It was previously a Red Robbins and now makes for a nice date night for its energetic vibe that offers a friendly yet playful atmosphere. Yes there are grills at each table for you cook the most delectable meats. I'm talking brisket, steak, ribs, pork belly, and if it's your thing intestine, and abomasum. I recommend trying the Spicy Tofu soup as one of your sides which deserves a chef's kiss for its robust flavor and perfectly cooked tofu Another excellent side was the Gyoza which was a mouth sensation with or without the sauce. Add to this attentive staff who ensure your grill top is switched out with a clean one so your food is cooked to satisfaction and you have a different Exton restaurant experience. This was one of the worst all-you-can-eat dining experiences I've ever had. The restaurant has very poor air circulation, which is a major issue for a place where grilling is happening constantly. The dining room was extremely hot and filled with smoke the entire time. Everyone at our table was sweating throughout dinner, making the experience very uncomfortable. The service was equally disappointing. Servers would come by to ask what we needed or take orders, but nothing would arrive. Their explanation was that they were busy, yet the restaurant wasn't even full. At one point, we were told they didn't have spoons available for the soup because they were busy. It's hard to understand how a restaurant can run out of something as basic as spoons. To make matters worse, the first item we ordered--a simple miso soup--didn't arrive until we were practically ready to leave. Since this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, timely service is essential, but our second order of meat took 20-30 minutes to come out. By the time it finally arrived, we were already getting full from sitting around and waiting. I've been to many all-you-can-eat restaurants and have never experienced delays like this. Between the uncomfortable atmosphere, lackluster service, and excessive wait times, this was a very frustrating dining experience. Update since my last review a few months ago... We came on a weekday night, so even though there weren't a lot of guests, it was a bit understaffed. We waited a bit before someone came to the counter to set us up with a clean table. Staff are friendly as always. The seats were oily though, and I had to use a napkin to clean off the surface and remove an old piece of meat sticking to it. It's a little dark inside, so just check your surroundings before putting your stuff down. Overall food was good. Again, banchan is a bit bland and if you want hot tea or water, you have to ask for it. If you expect to compare this to other "more authentic" Korean BBQ places, don't. You won't find hot barley tea or anything here. Just treat this as a nice local experience. Staff here were kind to bring us hot water for older guests who are used to drinking hot beverages. This was where my god daughter had her confirmation dinner. This was the first time I have eaten at this restaurant. The food was good. I would eat again at this restaurant. It was all you can eat. Anything on the menu you picked. Salad was very fresh and dressing was very light and tasty. The meats that we ordered, were cooked on the grill and very tasty. The only thing I can suggest, I wish the sauce that the meats were marinated in were a bit sweet. We did have dessert. I wish they had pineapple, so we can grill. We did have onions and mushrooms. When we ordered additional sauces, meats and refills. I had to request for the oil and salt refill many times. The workers work hard. And are very pleasant. I would go to this restaurant again. There was a bit of a language barrier with the server- not bad just a bit harder to communicate effectively. The O2 of PA. One of the better kbbq spots has finally landed in the neighborhood. The food is good as expected. All the cuts of meat from the beef brisket to marinated beef (kalbi) all on point. You can't go wrong with any cuts. The service is still working progress. It's weird to be ordering in English though... I'm used to ordering everything in Korean to the server so my brain fogged up. The place is newly renovated so nice and clean. The air is a bit stifling with smoke; kinda hope they had better ventilation system. Make sure you don't bring anything in that you do not want smelling like meat smoke. The major differences between this location and the other two: The grill is not the signature round black cast iron lid. It's the classic small one so surface area for cooking is a bit smaller The other is the portions that they bring out. I think this is also part of the working progress of understanding how portions work. For example; I am a beef brisket fiend. I asked for like 8 servings from the get go but.. they just looked at me confused. Could be a portion control thing but, my fat butt knows what it wants so kinda hoped they just gave me everything at once so I didn't have to bother them over and over again. This was our first Korean bbq and it was so delicious. The service was above and beyond helping us grill and cut our food. Inside and out was very clean and decorated nicely. I really enjoyed this place the drinks were so good.We chose to do the all you can eat so we tried a little bit of everything. The marinated steak was my favorite meat choice. More like 3.5 stars. I was there for lunch today. Overall, it's a decent dining experience, but nothing makes you "wow". Service is friendly and attentive, restaurant ambience is upbeat, meat choice is okay for the price range. What I don't like is: 1) side soup is nothing like what it says on the menu--I ordered "beef soup" and there's ZERO beef in my soup, only several thin slices of turnip; 2) the side "steamed egg" is too salty; 3) marinated meat and chicken are drowning in the sauce so the flavor is overwhelmingly tangy; 4) ventilation is weak so my clothes smelled "greasy" after I finished lunch. The grilling method provides a nice seer and since you (mostly) do the cooking, you control the level of seer. The accoutrements (condiments) are nice and varied. Con? Restaurant atmosphere was so cool and very spacious. All the servers were nice and friendly (I guess they serve all tables together). I had a high expectation coming in so I was a bit disappointed with the meat quality. We had .. -Beef- Hanging tender Marinated steak Galbi steak Brisket Bulgogi -Pork- Spicy pork belly Pork skin And...the only thing that was really good was "Marinated steak" for me. Really wonderful new place!! We heard they opened and we just HAD to check it out. We loved every minute of it. We went around 12 pm and were the only guests at first so we had very fast service. The staff are seriously the nicest people you'll ever meet and do a lot of the cooking themselves and teach you how to do it yourself. You can add sides, request for more, and basically make any kind of concoction you want. They also must have updated their "beef soup" recipe because ours had beef and veggies in it and was really good! Loved the chill and modern interior too, the layout is incredible and they have so much space. We will definitely be back for more!! We can't wait for the entrees that will hopefully be available this week too :)) read more

O2 just opened this week, so there are some growing pains for sure. The quality of the meats is great. The service is friendly but slllllloooooowwwww. We had to practically jump in front of people to get them to stop so we could order more and pay. Everything was good but this is the first time I'm walking away from KBBQ still hungry. It saddens me greatly to write this review. My visit there on my birthday was an absolute disaster, and my main question is: how could a place go downhill so far, so fast? O2K BBQ in Exton was my favorite Korean BBQ place in the Greater Philadelphia region up until my last visit there. I called to make a reservation for my birthday for a total of four people, and I explained that two people are vegetarian. I asked if there was any tofu of any kind on the menu, and the person on the phone said no. I then asked if there was anything for vegetarians to eat, and was told that the restaurant is a "buffet," so there are vegetables on the buffet. I said, "oh, you changed into a buffet place?" He said yes, we have always been a buffet." I said, "no, you were not always a buffet. I've been there many times and there was full wait service and they bring the food to your table." He said, "yes, we bring out the food, but we are still a buffet." I said, "a buffet is a freestanding, self-serve appliance where people get up and get their own food. Do you have that? Because I've never seen one there." There was silence on the other end of the phone. I went ahead and made the reservation anyway, but that should have set off warning bells about how utterly clueless the staff is...about everything. I then explained we needed two grills because one of the vegetarians in our party is a strict religious vegetarian who cannot have meat touch her food. He said they would "try" to accommodate it. When I explained that I was making the reservation in advance, he said, "okay, you'll be able to have two grills." However, when we arrived, the staff immediately started arguing with us over this, saying that all the tables with two grills were broken. I also asked if we could sit in a booth against a wall, because my mother is hard of hearing, and sitting against a wall allows the sound to bounce off the wall and into her ears a lot better than sitting in the middle of the room. They also began arguing with us about THAT request, saying again that all of the tables against the walls had "broken" grills. At that point, I noticed that the place was nearly empty on a Friday night at 7pm, that the floor and bathroom doors were filthy, and I saw the area with the broken grills in disrepair. The staff's behavior at this point was both culturally insensitive in trying to deny us two grills, as well as ageist and a violation of the ADA by refusing to accommodate my mother's hearing issue. Finally we got them to agree to giving us the two grills, but they sat us smack dab in the center of the room. Overall, the service was horrible. The servers argue about EVERYTHING. We asked if we could all have rice. The waitress said, "you two can have rice, but the vegetarian entrees already come with rice." (What?) That led into a lengthy discussion about rice when all we wanted was for her to bring all four of us rice at that same time so that we could all get started with rice and banchan. That didn't happen because "two people already get rice," whatever the Hell that means. On the website, there is a photo of the "vegetarian dinner," The photo shows a HUGE platter of fresh vegetables for grilling. I kid you not when I say they brought out a bread plate with four tiny pieces of vegetables on it. It was laughable. They explained that the vegetarian entrees are cooked in the back, but that they do include "unlimited" fresh vegetables for grilling. When we asked for more fresh vegetables, they argued back, saying "theirs gets cooked in the back." We expained that we were there to GRILL TOGETHER. They finally brought out another tiny plate of fresh vegetables to split. The actual vegetarian entrees that get cooked in the back were inedible. The sauce tasted like a pound of sugar was poured on it. Throughout the meal, the staff was aggressively slamming and banging metal trays and buckets, spraying cleaning supplies and making loud noises in the service station right behind us. The loud noises really hurt my mom's hearing aids. Every sentence we would say to the staff was met with either blank stares, an argument, a bizarre nonsensical response, or they would simply ignore what we said and walk away. My mom and I got the meats. The meats were horrible. The quality was a fraction of what it had previously been. The one type of beef had a thick slab of gristle running right through it. The banchan was watery and bland. The corn with cheese was cold and sopping with water. It obviously had been pre-frozen. The entire meal was disgusting. Perhaps the worst thing, though, was when we asked them to clear the table before they brought out my birthday cake. They simply refused to do it. I asked three people. They would take maybe one item, then disappear. We ended up bussing the table ourselves. Lastly, they threw away our cake box and packed the cake in non-airtight containers instead. It was probably the worst overall restaurant experience I've ever had. read more

We are fans of Korean BBQ. Upon arrival, we had a brief wait while they set up our table with various sauces and condiments. Unlike other Korean BBQ places which had us get up and pick the items that we wanted to cook, they have a menu from which we could pick what we wanted. We tried the Kalbi Marinated Steak, Marinated Chicken, Beef Thin Brisket, Pork Gyoza, and Spicy Pork Bulgogi. The size of the portions varied. For instance, the Kalbi Marinated Steak, Marinated Steak and Marinated Chicken were small portions whereas the Spicy Pork Bulgogi was a huge portion. Their policy is that you have to finish what you eat and you cannot take out any food that is left over. It is a good policy to avoid waste. The servers come over whenever the grill gets too smoky to exchange the grill top. We had ours changed twice during the meal. The only downside was that our clothes absorbed the smell of the food. read more

We were there not long after they opened (I'm doing some review catch up). Ordinarily this would have been a three star experience, but my issues were due to the newness of the place. The menu is worth some study as I'm not that familiar with Korean cuisine. The food was quite good though -- although I felt it was expensive. They switched servers on us after 20 minutes or so. I don't know why, but our first server continued on shift with other guests. Both servers were fine, it just made us feel like an afterthought. The dining experience was good, but we were a little unclear about what to expect from our server vs doing on our own. My main issue, though, is the price. I'll give it 4 stars because for an all you can eat Korean BBQ it was pretty good. Clean and service is prompt and meat selection was good. We had 4 adults and a 17 month old. Tables are a bit cramped when you have the sides, drinks, and etc all spread out but the changing of grill plate and removal of empty plates were well timed and helped. My mother who is Korean did feel the rice was a little harder than she would have liked. Gyeran-jjim (steamed egg) was tasty. Doenjang Jjigae ( soybean soup) was a little watery but good. Appreciated the variety of dipping sauces but the Ssamjang was kinda missing something. Musaengchae ( thinned spicy radish kimchi) was tasty as was the Kongnamul Muchim ( soybean side). Kimchi was a little more sour than I prefer but I'm a very picky kimchi eater :) Bulgogi was delicious and as was the pork belly. Kalbi was tasty but I have had better. Really wish they had Pa Muchim (Scallion Salad). Because it goes so well with pork belly but their mixed salad was tasty. The manager was extremely kind and had a conversation with my mom. Overall the interaction was much appreciated and left a positive impression. Will definitely come again. read more

We had a party of six for lunch. Only way to order the all you can eat was if everyone at the table got it. Some werent that hungry for a big meal and only wanted the ala cart menu. So after spending over three hundred dollars for lunch and mandatory tip for six we left very underwhelmed. The food variety, quality, service and satisfaction wasn't what we expected. The only seafood option was squid, the meat was fatty, we weren't given any direction on how to enjoy the experience. It was our first time there so that would have been helpful being that we had to cook our own food. To be perfectly honest our server was under trained and not appropriate for a hospitality job. Poor communication Although he did speak perfect English. He just didn't use it. We had to ask for things several times and approach him rather him asking us. The place wasn't busy. As you walk into the modern spacious dining room you'll see the many big screen tvs with videos of modern music Each table has its own grill and a variety of condiments. The wait staff are all very kind and helpful as we decided on which meats to get. The brisket and pork belly are a must try. There are also a variety of sides to choose from. Love the unlimited sides you can get with the AYCE menu (definitely something I personally appreciate because I love eating the meat with various combinations). As for the meat, so good. Beef brisket is always the go to in the beginning when you're hungry since it cooks quicker! The pork belly is definitely the fave though and the marinated options had such great flavor, as well!! The grill is shaped so the oil slides down which makes the perfect bite for the meat! Also, the sides are generously given and the sauce options are such good pairings. Not to mention, the service was impeccable - family-owned, so you could feel the care and consideration they have for their guests. :) K-Bbq restaurants are known for the bumpin music so just keep that in mind! Not a place I would go back to. Went to dinner with a reservation on a Friday night. The restaurant was very empty at prime dinner time. When opening the door, we were greeted by a cloud of smoke filling up the restaurant. The ventilation system is not proper for the space. Usually, bbq restaurants have table ventilation systems that hover over the grills. This restaurant did not have that kind of system and it was evident that the system they did have was insufficient. The food quality was sub par. One of the most disappointing parts of the meal were the portion sizes. It's an all you can eat restaurant. While I understand more can be ordered as requested, the portions were not set properly. It felt as if the restaurant was intentionally serving smaller portions with the nicer meat quality and overdoing the less expensive cuts. For example, the pork belly was served as one slice for three people and the chicken was a large cut. It's just not acceptable. In addition, we ordered japche. Was so disappointed to see that it would be served on a mound of rice also making the portion size seem larger than it actually was. I did not like the quality of the japche. The vegetable order with the bbq was awful. Two tiny slices of a pepper, one slice of an onion, and one tiny mushroom cut into pieces.
