Lobster biscuit French onion soup is fantastic! The weight staff was also spot on. I highly recommend this place.

I visited on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, at 7:45 PM, and it was very busy. I was there celebrating my son's 17th birthday. I'm vegetarian, and he is not. I can't fully speak on his meal because he had snacks before we arrived, which ruined his appetite. He only nibbled on the fries and ended up taking the rest home. From a Vegetarian pov , I'll be honest... there are no real vegetarian options here. If you're vegetarian, you may want to reconsider. The only items available were a basic house salad, onion soup, and zucchini fritte. There were no actual vegetarian entrées, which was disappointing. I didn't enjoy the onion soup, although the cheese on top was good. The bread served at the table is decent if you like a salty flavor with a hard crust. The décor is beautiful, and I really liked the layout. However, the bathroom felt a bit oddly placed. It almost feels like you're walking into the kitchen area, just slightly off to the side. While heading to the restroom, I did notice a more private dining section that seemed perfect for date nights. I thought that was a really nice touch. Our waitress was wonderful, very pleasant, professional, and gave us space to enjoy our time. She made the experience better. Personally, I think a dress code would elevate the atmosphere, but that's just my opinion. read more

I'm just visiting my friend in Johnson city and glad to find this local restaurant. Turns out they just opened and the food is beyond expectations. We had oysters, crab bisque, grouper with risotto and pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini. Service was just as fantastic as the food and ambience is dark and romantic. Quality of food is sub-par for price. The premeal "bread" almost pulled my fillings out. Portions were small and took a while to get our food even though there were only 5 people in the whole place. I wont be going back. read more

The worst Father's Day Brunch I have ever experienced. Ordered eggs Benedict. Totally disgusting. The eggs were microwaved,hard as a rock. The supposed English muffin was as thin as a Saltine cracker and tough as leather. Further I have never had eggs Benedict naked. Yes, you read that correctly. There was not a drop of Hollandaise sauce. We will never visit this horror show again. My sister had what was listed as chicken pot pie. A bowl arrived filled with a thick, pastry gravy, no vegetables except one piece of potato. In the middle was a large biscuit submerged in the pasty gravy. Breaking the biscuit in to the paste resulted in an ugly glob of unidentified mess. We left. This place needs a cook, forget chef, just a cook would help. I can't imagine who was managing the kitchen. Who ever prepared our brunch should be ashamed of allowing our entries to leave the kitchen. read more

My wife and I just went there for Father's Day early. She's out of town for the weekend anyway I got the ribeye steak is made to perfection. Had it with the sides I chose the sides based on my liking you could choose yours. It was excellent. They have great beef high-quality well-made their drink menu is wonderful. It was a good date night. The staff were responsive and helpful and we were able to move to sit in a more comfortable seat than the high chair they put us in. Food was good but took a long time. Enjoyed our dishes. I should've gotten the strip like my wife. Next time. The chocolate cake is for real! Made sense when I learned they partner with a local bakery for cakes and breads. It's rare I find a chocolate dessert worth my time. I'm a snob, though, in that lane. read more

Very nice on the inside love the private tables great for date night. Our waiter who was also bartender was very attentive despite doing both at once. The French onion soup was very good you can get it as a side for a $4 uncharge. My steak was a little undercooked but very good. The duck fat fries were good. My wife got the fish and chips which was okay. Next time she's going to try the chicken sandwich I may try to pork chops. read more

My husband and I ate here for lunch and the grouper tacos were perfect. However, I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the Mexican street corn on the cob as a side dish was mushy and bland. It tasted like frozen corn on the cob that sat in the boiling water too long. This is a pricey restaurant for lunch and the great grouper tacos do not deserve to be served with such a non-deserving side dish. Either remove the Mexican street corn from the menu or instead serve the delicious freshly picked corn from the Farmers Market that is now in season! The interior renovation is beautiful! read more

We were excited to try this restaurant based on its reputation. We had reservations and were seated immediately, which was a great start to the evening. Our waiter arrived promptly and was friendly, but throughout the meal we felt rushed to place our entrée orders. Our party of four ordered French onion soup as an appetizer, along with a Bloody Mary, fish and chips, filet, and crab cakes. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was disappointing. The Bloody Mary lacked flavor, and the French onion soup was particularly underwhelming. The crock was less than half full, contained only a few croutons, a small amount of cheese, and had very little flavor. The entrées were equally disappointing. The fish and chips, filet, and crab cakes were all bland and lacked the seasoning and flavor we expected. By the end of the meal, all four of us agreed that the food did not meet our expectations, and we do not plan to return. While the service was adequate, the combination of feeling rushed and the lackluster food made for a disappointing experience overall. read more

The food is mediocre. Bland sides. The grouper tacos had scant fish. The tacos were street tacos sized...about 3" ... and at $16 just not worth it. Maybe a thumb sized portion of fish in each taco. One could not tell if there was fish in the three tiny tortillas...or chicken...or tofu. No taste. The so called Mexican Street corn ...was a joke. Frozen corn cob with a mushy mayo topping. Fish and chips with duck fries. Another disaster...two tiny broken fillets of fish so overcooked that the air space between the breading and the fish was greater than the fillet itself. Duck fries very soggy and not crisp. Again at $16 why not just go to Captain D's and at least get some fish inside the breading? The atmosphere was wonderful as was our waiter. Don't ever throw good money at bad food. Just look elsewhere. read more

My friend and I went for lunch. Very tasty morsels. I say this as I got the Mahi tacos and the tortillas were miniature maybe 4 inches diameter. Never saw any that small didn't know they existed. 3 very very small tacos. You will have to visit a drive thru upon leaving because you will still be hungry. It was very good but snack size. I just stared at the plate when they put it in front of me. My friend got the grilled Mahi the filet was maybe 3x4 inches so it wasn't just what I ordered. Pretty inside. Maybe you get decent portion at dinner but then twice the cost, which was already high. read more

My wife found this place while we were on vacation. Great little spot. Nice bar and lighting was on par. We were seated promptly. Waitress was quick to get us drinks and checked on us regularly. Food came quick and tasted great. I would only say the portions could be a little bit bigger. All in all, no complaints and would recommend this place to anyone. I would've given it five stars if not for the very hard wood bench booth seats that have no cushions. We had lunch there, arriving around 11:10 on 9 June. We were seated immediately, and there was one very large party (maybe 12) already there. Very nice, slightly upscale restaurant. Lunch specials (food & drink) were very reasonably priced. Service was excellent. All the servers seemed very attentive, at times interrupting a bit too much, but not overly so. We had French Dip Sliders and a Pimento Cheese BLT, each with fries. Everything was delicious and hot. I would definitely go there again on our next visit to Johnson City. The restaurant is a bit difficult to see from the main street, as it's set back behind the parking lot, about a block off the street. There is plenty of parking, and it appears that at night it is well lighted. Lunch for two with a beer and glass of wine was $40, nearly $5 of which was various taxes. As with many businesses, they have a surcharge when paying with a credit card. I'm learning that I need to start carrying more than my "usual" $40 in cash as more and more places are charging 3-4% for use of a credit card. read more

Came for lunch. Food was fantastic. Cocktails were great.. started with a smoked old fashioned and wife had a Bloody Mary. Burnt Ends with grits were perfect. Wife did lobster bisque and a wedge salad. Salad was immense and bisque was great. I had the crab cake sandwich. Strongly recommend. Cooked perfectly. Went for the creamy grits as my side. Can't really give a rating because we were denied entrance. My husband and I went at 4:00 on a Friday afternoon, dressed in jeans and sweaters. This is a store-front restaurant called a grill, but apparently there is a dress code, because when we went in, the hostess in her skin tight, short black dress, jewelry, and heavy makeup, looked at us like we were homeless people, and asked if she could help us. Well it was obvious we were there to eat, so I said two. She asked if we had reservations. (At 4:00?) and I said no, we weren't aware we needed them at 4:00 in the afternoon. She said well, it would be better, and did not even offer to try to find us a table, so we left. We are senior adults who eat out quite often and join other couples at times. This establishment has lost several good customers, as none of us will eat here, after the way we were treated. read more

My first course was French onion soup, which had few onions, it had more bread than anything else (except the bay leaves) I pulled multiple bay leaves out of my cup of soup. Rookie mistake, let's see how the rest of the meal goes. 2nd course, wedge salad! Great little salad, smaller size, good flavors, I would've loved some fresh cracked black pepper, only shaker pre ground available... 3rd course, Crab Cakes! I heard multiple servers rant and rave about how great they were! I had to have them. Judgement; stodgy, craggy, Old Bay flavored bread cakes, I did not find a single piece of crab in either of the bun sized cakes. I split both cakes open to investigate, no crab in sight. Maybe they sent me the vegetarian ones? If it's on the menu and the price is market competitive, we shouldn't accept lesser quality products. This was a restaurant I had never been to that has occupied the same location as two other restaurants i have patronized, both failed. Stopped for an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon around three with a party of four. The food was really bad. The meal started with focaccia bread that the waitress said was baked fresh daily, pretty sure it wasn't, grainy and totally without flavor. My wife an i had thier signature fish an chips with fries, fried in duck oil. A frozen fry is still a frozen fry if no matter what it is fried in. If you are going to use good oil cut your own fries. The fish was totally without flavor and mostly crispy breading without any seasoning at all, fish had no taste at all. The cole slaw could be better called cole slaw soup and was just awful,in edible. The other three in our party all had the same comment, tasteless and lacking seasoning. All the food we had from appetizer to main course was the same, so we certainly weren't going to order dessert. The service though was excellent and the waitress friendly and welcoming.
