    Brisket sandwich

Nice place. Very good service. Not sure why they don't have brisket sandwiches on the menu. They also should have brisket nachos and quesadillas. They did make a brisket sandwich for me but it was underwhelming. They could do much better!

Hard to judge with cold food. Things they did well: The Armadillo Egg... good stuff. Their version of a Scottish egg. I ate two. The brisket was tender, too bad it was cold. Things that would make it closer to a 5 star: Hot food: The food clearly came up way out of order in the kitchen, everything I ate was luke warm Give some love to the baked beans: Clearly these are directly out of a #10 can of Busch's Baked Beans beans. If they aren't.. they sure taste like it. The Barbecue Baria? Taco needs texture: It tasted ok but everything was mush. Maybe dip it, then put it in a hard shell for a good crunch. The burnt ends: Visit Kansas City and see what they are supposed to taste like. All this being said, I would give them another shot in about six months to see if they worked out the kinks. It is hard to be a new restaurant Taste 7/10 Quality vs Cost 8/10 Service 6/10 Presentation 6/10 Atmosphere 7/10 34/50 = 3 star

Poised to be a hit based on the location and services they offered it fell short. went in with a craving for BBQ and even waited since they only after 4 at the time of review. There are some things they did good and some they could improve on. I will list what I ate and rating per item and the overall review at the bottom will be a full in-depth review. * Burnt End Loaded Fries (waffle Style) - 3/5 * Brisket (1/4 lb) - 3/5 * Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage (1/4 lb) - 3/5 * Rack Tips (1/2) 4/5 * Cole Slaw - 1/5 The location is spacious with plenty of room for a bar top as well. The staff was very friendly and kept checking in and meeting all requests asked. Asked the server for a recommendation and they mentioned that fries for an appetizer. It is a very generous portion enough to share with 2 the first couple of bites are very good but that's when it ends. After a few bites, the taste is very overpowering and has a very thick feel to it. would portably order again but only if eating with others and sharing since I could not finish more than a 1/3. Their meats are priced varying on the market price they have a board that will list the price for items located in towards the back. Had to turn around to look at it would recommend having two locations for this. The meats are ordered in 1/4lb increments I went with Brisket, Rib Tips, and Sausage with a Hot BBQ Sauce pairing. The Brisket was soft and very tender but felt a bit dry and all the food was warm. The sausage was average felt more like I was eating a jack's link than at a sit-down restaurant. The sauces both for the ribs that came with, and the Hot BBQ probably saved most of my meal, and was able to eat it. The Rib tips were the best thing by far and would gladly order them again. Avoid the Cole Slaw if you would even call it that very bland and just tasted of Pepper and Vinegar. This was my take on the food and based on my experience I might make a return once they have spent a few more months of experience. The location is very new, and I believe is in the stages of learning they have the potential to be good and be a standout for the community.

Ashley, our server, was outstanding. We LOVED the BBQ brisket nachos!!! We stopped by around lunchtime for a quick bite. Food was good, atmosphere friendly and prices reasonable. Most of the portions were big!!! Will definitely return!

Started with the poutine waffle fries. Amazing! We had a party of 8 diners. I had the Frisco double patty melt. It was great. We had dry rub ribs and rib tips. They were awesome. I was told the burrito was great, but maybe a bit spicy. The elote was really good!

Dean's BBQ, located in Granger, Indiana, is only about a year old and is already a local favorite!…read moreMy boyfriend and I were in the area in June 2026 and we were enticed by the menu and good reviews on Yelp so we had dinner here. Tl;dr - we loved it and are looking forward to coming back here many more times! So it isn't a large space. But we didn't have to wait for a table. There is also a somewhat open kitchen for the curious diners who enjoy watching chefs at work. There's a printed menu but there are also many chalkboards on the walls around the small space that list the specials. Our service was fast and the place was well-staffed. We stuck to ordering off the regular menu except for our drinks. I was impressed by the prices of the drinks, especially the for mocktails. We also agreed that the prices for the merch were decent, especially the sweatshirt, which was only $35. My boyfriend, who is not a beer drinker, got the Vandermill apple cider ($5), made in Grand Rapids, MI. I got the 3 Floyd's Zombie Dust APA ($7.50), a famous Munster, Indiana brewery that has won a plethora of awards over the years. I got a little tipsy from it, ngl. We were craving different items to eat so my boyfriend got the Dean's Burger with wagyu beef and pork with a side of mac and cheese ($19). It was so juicy and the cheese pull was insane! I love brisket so I had to try theirs so I got the brisket sandwich with fries ($18). The brisket was delicious and the bun was of good quality. I had to add a little more sauce to it though. Also, the homemade ketchup tasted a bit apple butter-y! Crazy delicious! They said it had cloves in it. I tried to eat as slow as I could to make it last and was so sad when I finished my food. It was all soooo good! Overall, our meal cost a bit over $60 after tax and tip. We joined the rewards program and we WILL be back!

One piece of pork about the size of a finger was burnt and hard. The bottom of the bun was burnt black. The worst burger I've had in the county. Half of the fries were tiny end pieces. Hardly any salt on them and no salt available on the table. There were only 6 people in the restaurant yet it seemed to take forever to get food. The server was very nice though. The place has a nice bar vibe. Honestly for a burger that costs nearly 20 dollars I expect it to be a lot better.

I was a certified Memphis BBQ Network judge and also held that credential with the KC BBQ Society. My BBQ consumption regularly lands me in hot water with my PPC on a number of issues; it is what it is. So imagine my surprise when I drove into the parking lot and saw a big pile of real hardwood stacked in the back. I was optimistic. And I wasn't disappointed. My original plan was to have some brisket (woefully largely missing from the local Memphis scene) but when the proprietor offered the option of a brisket and rib combo, I jumped on it. Here's the deal: this guy knows what he's doing smoking meats. The ribs were as good as my Memphis favorites at Cozy Corner and I've never said that about ribs anywhere in Memphis or elsewhere. The brisket a perfect 10 - perfectly seasoned, beautiful smoke ring and juicy without being fatty. Neither the ribs nor the brisket wanted for any sauce, but the two I sampled should be bottle and sold at Amazon. That's enough, you should get the point (and the flat and the ribs!!). Bon appetite

It can only be described in one word, which is a word I just made up.... MEATGASM! I took it to go. I'm sure all the "oh my gawds, and oh yums!" Coming from my office probably raised a few eyebrows but I can't help it. Holy crap that was delicious! Also, try it with the Alabama sauce. (Chefs kiss) perfection!!!

Now I need to go and get TNTed windows before someone tries to shoot me while entering or leaving this place, which would somewhat TNT my experience. And would be TNTamount to murder. If you thought TNT was all about Major Crimes and Rizzoli & Isles, then do I have a surprise for you. Welcome to one of the best BBQ places in the USA. What to get: Pulled Pork, Rib Tips, Cabbage, All The Sides, Banana Pudding How to tickle Barbie: A Touch Of her Sole If you thought TnT was Trinidad & Tobago, or explosives, or Tushies N Tails (a weird group of butt fetishists), you were wrong. Well you were right, but none of those TnTs matter now. Not now that ATOS exists in Kalamazoo. Because, ladies n gents, it's the best soul food in the Great White North, the best food in the state of Michigan, and one of the 5 best BBQ places in the entire USA (including TX, KC, TN, NC and so on). No, for the billionth time, I'm not exaggerating. One portion could literally feed a family. And will cost next to nothing. All the more reason for you to come check it out. So this BBQ in Kalamazoo (the town and the food genre rhyme - see, it was meant to be - hmm, I wonder if Katmandu has good BBQ) was one of the best things I've ever eaten. And the best value-for-money meal I've ever had, with notable memorable service as well. Firstly, they recommended the rib tips with green beans - both among the most delicious things I've ever eaten. At only $5 for a mini, which was enough food to feed a family, I just can't. Wow. I went marching right back in for a pulled pork sandwich, and with that they gave me some spectacular cabbage - even better than the green beans - and a side of spaghetti which was wonderful, if a little sweet (like my ex). Even if you're a vegetarian, the sides are worth driving hours for. The sandwich had coleslaw (sort of like sod's law), and enough pulled pork to feed an army (not that I would want to feed an army, I'm a pacifist). It was perfection. They slipped me some yumsy sweet cornbread and the most spectacular banana pudding I've ever eaten. Food-wise that is. In general, your boyfriend's Banana Pudding is incomparable. I don't know how they do it, but these people cook better than pretty much anyone. Maybe because Marvin Berry works here (Chuck's cousin), and he hired someone that really cooks. The tragedy is that most will never know what perfect BBQ is, because they skip places like this, since it's in Kalamazoo, in a beauty mart. You skip this, you skip life itself. And no I've NEVER exaggerated in my LIFE. They seemed to figure out without me saying a word (I never do) that I write reviews, because they kept whispering about what I need to eat, in order to give them 5 Stars. I'm pretty sure they didn't know me from Yelp - perhaps they saw me taking pictures of a hot dog in the parking lot (from Ray Ray's, also amazing, and the other K-zoo place you must try). Anyway, that might be why they gave me half their store for cheap prices, but even then, the given to other patrons, masses. Let's just say that they give you more meat than me on a weekend night, and more sides than a dodecahedron, or even a triacontagon, and if you decide to make out with me, I promise I don't haveacontagion. Now I'm gonna let the teens close out this review: If you don't know what the fuss is ABT Then you need to come here AFAIC And you need to do it ASAP (But first send me your ASLP) Gotta go pee, I'll BBIAB OK that was quick, I'm BAC I need some BBQ, so DAE? Cause this place is amazing, and we've GTG If you all say no, that's the EOT And I'll go by myself then, IAC But you love BBQ, right, IIRC I remember you gave me a KOTC You should've my face with my BEG But then you never did MMB I'm over it now, so it's NBD If your boyfriend wants to come, tell him MYOB Wait, you dumped him? Really? OIC He did what to your sister? OMG Anyway, I think we're getting a little OT So yes, BBQ is sort of P2P But the owner lady is such a QT And for what you get it's practically FREE Damn, no acronym! You can blame ME Anyway, if you wanna come, TG And we can get anything you WTB I'm sure she'll remember me and say WB And if mine's better than yours, WTT? I can't wait to taste yours and see WUG And if I don't show up, YHBT In terms of miles, it's about 53 But you're closer than me, so YMMV After you try this, YTMND Then we can hit my place, and N&C At which point it's time to GNOC In fact, right now, I'm NIFOC I know you think I'm just THOT But I can hook you up with CID Or really anything, what's your DOC? If you want some, then WTTP? Crap I gotta go, now I'm TWD At least for now we're both KPC I hope we don't end up on Dateline NBC Now let's go get that BBQ from TNT WHAT!
