I had a great experience with the chiropractor himself -- Dr. Cheyne Ashline was very attentive, professional, and truly helped resolve my back issues. Every visit was thorough, and I felt like I was in good hands the entire time. That said, my biggest disappointment was with the office management and insurance department. Despite providing my insurance information up front, they failed to properly verify coverage before my treatments began. I paid my co-pay (~$20) after each visit, so I assumed everything was taken care of. However, after 6 visits across 4 weeks, I was unexpectedly hit with a nearly $500 bill due to insurance not covering the services as initially thought. While I would highly recommend the doctor for their skill and care, I strongly encourage new patients to double-check with both the office and their insurance company before starting treatment to avoid any surprises. Better communication and follow-through from the administrative team would make this practice a 5-star experience. Dr. Cheyne is the best chiropractor I have been to. I have been to many in the last 8 or so years and he is the only one that doesn't want me to come back! He wants to fix my issues and be done, which is how it should be. Others have scheduled me for 2-3x/week for months and months. $ out of my pocket and issues were not fixed, only more came that they needed to "correct." I first came to Cheyne when I couldn't stand up straight, sit, or get in/out of a car on my own after straining my low back. After the first visit, I could actually stand up straight and the pain was much better. He completely fixed me in 4 visits! I have been great ever since. That was 2 years ago. I saw Dr. Cheyne for lower back pain that I had been dealing with for over two years. I had already been to two PT practices (and stayed with their programs for 2-3 month each), and neither of them helped. I felt like they already had a program they wanted to put me on and didn't really listen to what I was saying I felt and what *I* thought was wrong with me. I had never been to a chiropractor before, and I live in Durham, but I read a recommendation on line for Dr. Cheyne and thought what the heck, I will give him a try, even though I have to drive from Durham. (Regarding the drive, if you go at lunch like I did it is actually very quick to get in and out of their office on 40/Wade Ave.) Dr. Cheyne did some adjustments and active release and it helped my pain a lot. It got rid of my stiffness right away. He also has giving me exercises to do at home (and they are really quick and easy to do, so that is great). I am now running, resistance training, and swimming a few times a week to regain the strength in my core that is what will take me to full recovery. Before I saw him, I had problems picking things up off the floor and now I can do all my normal activities. The office is very well run. The appointments are on time and they are very good about accommodating you should you need to reschedule. They also billed my insurance without any issue and gave me itemized receipts to submit to my FSA. The office is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Cheyne because I am feeling so much better than I was 6 weeks ago, and I had been dealing with pain for a long time. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Jessica Fay four years now and my back and shoulders are now pain free and I've gained more flexibility in them. It no longer twinges when I look over my shoulder when driving.The treatments are soothing and not at all painful and my back feels so much better afterwards - it's nothing like those "cracking your back" horror stories I've heard from people who went other places. I especially enjoy icing on the roller bed at the end. I'd pay for just that part alone! Dr. Ashline put together a great treatment plan for back problems, helped me to strengthen the area on top of the adjustments he was giving me, and got me back to full activity and pain free in under a month! Perhaps just as importantly, he didn't string me along to keep me needing to come back for maintenance but instead helped heal the problem and get back to my active lifestyle (although I will certainly be back if I ever need more help). My husband and I have been patients of Dr Fay and Dr Cheyenne. I had about 6 treatments with Dr Fay and was very impressed on her technique and how quickly she can spot the areas on my neck, shoulder, and hips that needed treatment. She listens to what you want and need. Her technique is not aggressive. My husband also has had a good experience with Dr Cheyenne. By far the best chiropractors we've had. Although we pay out of pocket since our insurance doesn't cover this service, it's worth it to keep coming back to them since we see excellent results!
