I visited Gus' yesterday for lunch and am pleased to share a glowing review. The service was wonderful, the food was tasty (& came out fast), the atmosphere was festive (decorated for Christmas), and it was all around a great experience! I can't believe I've waited this long to try it - I will definitely be back. This is a hidden gem in Clawson!

Small restaurant, friendly staff - our waitress was pretty attentive and food was okay. Ruben with turkey was slightly soggy on the bottom, salad was yummy, fish & chips were good and the slider special was also good. Not pictured pretzels and cheese (cheese was gross and had a waxy consistency) and spinach artichoke dip (nice size, crunchy chips, and good cheese pull)

Love this place & so much on the menu I want to go back and try! We visited early on St Patty's Sunday and had fabulous service and fab food- I also love that the cocktail list is so fun and Interesting

I ordered door dash so it would probably be amazing at the restaurant. I loved the calamari and peppers. They give you so much corned beef on the sandwich. I wish i could have asked for a side of sauce because it was pretty dry.

This has been on our list to try for awhile. My primary take away is that Gus' Snug is a great destination for a beer and some live music but I would not recommend it for its food. To start we had the mozzarella sticks. The marinara was served cold and the sticks tasted like frozen mozzarella sticks that you air fry. The fish was greasy and lacked the desired crunch you expect from fish and chips. It was served on top of the fries which made them greasy too. The Wagyu burger didn't taste like Wagyu. Overall the ambiance is good, we'd return for a beer but unlikely to consider this spot for food in the future.

Best fish and chips around! This is the 3 piece but even the 2 piece is plenty. Great portion and amazing quality. So much fish and not too much breading. Make sure to order the Donegal chips too no matter what. You really can't go wrong with anything you order. The Maurice salad is phenomenal as well and the atmosphere is so unique. It really brought me back to Ireland. Cozy vibes for sure.

Fish and Chips, crispy and tasty.

I enjoyed it. Sat at the bar, had a guiness, some Spinach Artichoke dip and an order of Fish and Chips. Food was good, not amazing, but good. Ambiance and service were good (although sitting at the bar makes service easier). Fair pricing, and nice people. Definitely recommend if in the area and looking for a pub.

Overall it was a good meal. The service was very friendly but that said he was very flighty. He asked if we were ready to place our order, we said yes and then he went to another table. He also disappeared after the meal and it took forever for us to cash out. This was multiplied but us unknowingly sitting to where the live music set up and it was extremely loud to the point we couldn't have a conversation at our table. The food reviews: Onion soup was good not great, the onions needed to have been cooked down more and the cheese on top could have been browned more. Chicken sandwich was very tasty. The Reuben was good although it should be served sauerkraut up, as it was plated sauerkraut on the bottom which made the bottom bread mushy. Fries were good, although the portion sizes were visibly different and with four people getting fries and one person noticeably getting less was strange. Drinks were good. As stated the music was extremely loud to the point my watch was giving me alerts of sound over 90 decibels. I would return but make sure I sat away from the front windows, which is were the music set up.

Live music on Sunday nights, nice waiter Natalie & friendly atmosphere to unwind & pick up a pint or two with friends & family. Dave the manager is very friendly & you can enjoy the lovely patio. They have leek & vegetable barley & especially nice French onion. Extensive menu especially for a pub & I'm a pub aficionado! Excellent atmosphere fostered by attentive service & good food, & live Celtic music & plenty of parking, handicapped also at front door.

For my drink I had the Dragonberry Mojito and it was refreshing, but could've been a little stronger. My drink was a little sweet even after I had asked suggestions for something unsweet. The food was good , but the portion size is on the smaller side. Place felt a tad pricey as well.

My salad had canned corn and jalapeños on it, the avacado was old, and the dressing was watered down, no flavor. The french fries, chicken wings, and chicken tenders were frozen from a box and just thrown in a fryer. They didn't even taste like they bothered to let to food fry long enough. The slider my son had as gross, luckily he's 5 and doesn't know any better, however he still didn't want to eat it. When we addressed this the server, who was new, she was kind enough. But then the owner, Mitch I believe, came out and refused to make any accommodations for the disgusting food. He got loud and boisterous with us, spoke down to us, and was even so bold as to claim that they have never had any complaints the whole time he's owned the place. Needless to say I'll never take my family to this place again. YOU should stear clear as well. This business needs to fail as it's a blemish on the prestige that comes from owning a business in the beautiful city of Birmingham. Having heard good things about their Burgers I opted to go with their Classic Cheeseburger and fries for $15 and two of their house margarita's which were the drink of the day on Tuesdays for $5 apiece. Realtive to the burger, it was quite large at 1/2 lb and definately a two hander. It was well made, quite juicy, with fresh veggies and very very tasty. The fries were well made as well with a nice crunchy texture and quite tasty in their own right. Lastly my two Margarita's very well made and oh so good where I had only planned on getting one but opted for two after the first sip. NICE! At $5 a piece this was an absolute steal! Relative to facility and staff, the restaurant is visually very appealing with vibrant Irish accents, neon sign's everywhere and TV's scattered to allow you to watch the big game of the day while enjoying your meal.
