Tomorrow is my 80th birthday. Today I was sitting having lunch when the doorbell rang. When I opened the door it was a deliveryman w/ a bouquet of beautiful flowers from my brother Jim in Utah. Because he had sent me a package, which I will open tomorrow, I wasn't expecting this, so it was a lovely surprise. Also, because when I was preparing to write this review I read the one star review by the woman whose Mother's Day flowers arrived w/o water and soon died, I checked the water level in mine and it was fine. I ordered flowers for my DIL it was a white ceramic pumpkin with fall color flowers and white ceramic top. So she thanked me for the flowers but they were purple flowers in a vase. So I called 1800flowers told them and said they would resend what I ordered when I got the replacement confirmation they were yellow flowers in a plane vase (ugly) so again I called 1899flowers and they asked me if I wanted a refund I said yes. After that I get a call from the florist informing me that she is sending someone out to my SILs house to get the arrangement back. I told her then give her what I ordered she kept saying she did. Close friends of mine ordered a huge beautiful and expensive bouquet from Oak Creek Florist for me. When it was delivered they left it on the front porch and it was 97 degrees this afternoon. My cell phone number was on the card. No call or text. Imagine what the bouquet looked like after several hours in 97 degree temperatures. I immediately called the number for this business and spoke to a woman who at first told me she was the answering service and the florist was closed. When I explained what happened and my extreme disappointment, she tried to justify it. I requested she leave a message for the owner to call me back tomorrow and she eventually admitted she was a co-owner and continued to argue that they were right to leave the flowers on my doorstep in the heat of the day. I ordered 12 long stem roses, but only received 9. They made up the difference with some dead looking red flowers (I don't know what kid of flowers they were). This was bad enough but the kicker was the assorted chocolates that came with it. They literally left a $3 BAG OF ALMOND JOY SNACK SIZE CANDY BARS with the flowers?!? I paid $15 for the chocolate with a $10+ "service fee". I tried calling the florist multiple times after the delivery was made but no on answered the phone. I was embarrassed by the gift and will never use 1800flowers again. I can't believe they contract their high priced delivery service to terrible florists like oak creek that cut corners and deliver significantly subpar products. Stalked my girlfriend's residence with some guy banging on her door, calling non-stop demanding the flowers back, claiming they were "just" like on the website picture. The owner is literally a CRAZY person....Where do I begin. I dropped a large amount on some flowers. The arrangement had maybe 7 pink flowers in it. The picture had the entire thing covered in pink flowers, especially when you bought the highest arrangement they offered, LIKE I DID. I show the online company the pictures side by side, that I bought the flowers through. The company agreed with me that it was a terrible bouquet. Like complete ass. It was supposed to be nothing but overflowing or at least filled with....pink flowers. Half wasn't bloomed and just green, the other half had 7 pink flowers and the rest ALL Green! The online company offered to re-deliver the flowers next week which we agreed on. The Oak Creek Florist owner refused that the arrangement was garbage and harrased my girls work all day friday til I threatened the company with harassment and that we would keep them and don't need a redelivery, just cancel it. So the online store canceled the redelivery and we were just gonna keep the trash flowers so the lady would stop calling my girls work. Next day she keeps calling and has a man show up to her house banging on the door while she's alone in the shower. Calling me from a different number each time over and over with just a random 925 area code each time. I finally called the online store again and threatened to have the police be involved if she didn't leave our family alone, we gave them the flowers.They were terrible flowers.The situation was already handled the day prior. Save yourself time, money and from disappointment by not ordering from this place!! So upset and disappointed with how my order arrived. I ordered a standing spray from a website that was directly linked to the funeral home I wanted it delivered to. Photos for reference to show what I ordered vs what I got... I saw the spray in person and didn't look anything like what I ordered. AND get this...we paid for a ribbon, which as you can see it did not come with. I called the website I ordered from, The Sympathy Store, and I asked who the florist was because if it was close to where I was, I would have just picked it up. They told me I could just get refunded the $2, but I said no, I would rather just have the ribbon, with the message I paid for. They said OK, the florist would have it delivered by the end of the night, before 9 PM. It didn't come. The next day, this is what I saw. A "ribbon" with the message HANDWRITTEN AND ON RECEIPT PAPER!! This place is an absolute joke. The spray looked nothing like what I ordered. No orange daisies. 3 unopened lillies....we literally only see these flowers for a few days, so why would you give me more than half of the main flowers unopened?! Before I ordered a large sympathy bouquet, I specifically asked if they could ensure the inclusion of three specific tropical blooms -- birds of paradise (BOPs). This bouquet was supposed to be a tribute a wonderful lady, who grew BOPs and those were her favorite flower. I was assured that, if I placed my order on Monday for a Friday delivery, they would have plenty of time to obtain the BOPs. I selected a bouquet, that would nicely feature those specially ordered flowers. I upgraded the bouquet size to offset the extra cost and made it VERY CLEAR that this bouquet MUST contain the birds of paradise or not be delivered at all. The agent I spoke to read me back the instructions and assured me that, if there was any problem, they'd call me the day before. So, what happened? They went ahead and delivered a smaller, scraggly version of what was pictured, and omitted the BOPs -- the whole reason for the bouquet. They did not call me to tell me they could not fulfill my request. So, instead of sending a meaningful bouquet as a tribute to this special person, they delivered a disappointing one. It doesn't even appear professionally arranged -- instead of being nicely rounded as advertised, it's an untidy shape. I could have gone to Safeway and thrown together something better than this for much less $. Look at the pix and judge for yourself. When I called to ask what happened, they apologized and offered me a measly $7 credit. When I asked why they didn't call me to inform me of the problem, they had no response. When it comes to flowers, my husband enjoys embarrassing me with what some might find to be obnoxious displays of affection. He has sent me enormous, extravagant and beautiful bouquets and some of the cutest, most charming arrangements you have ever seen, all achieving the dual purposes of surprising and delighting me. When we were courting I worked in a San Francisco cubicle farm where Valentine's Day gift receiving was a competitive sport... which he always ensured that I crushed. So when this what can only be described as "sad" arrangement arrived today, I was surprised and a bit hurt. I wondered how and why he talked the bag boy at Safeway into jamming masses of greenery and some roses into a grimy (dirty inside and out), cheap jar (seriously, marked with a price sticker reading "An Extremely Extreme Value $1.99"?) full of water so gross and smelly that you can't smell the roses, and delivering them to my office. Of course that's not what my uber-thoughtful sweetheart would do or would want me to receive. He would be very hurt to know that my first thought was "Sigh... the honeymoon is over." But every thought I've had since then is more like, "This florist is either seriously understaffed or just doesn't care that they delivered a sad little bouquet that is neither deserving of the money my man paid for it nor representative of how he feels about me." It sounds nitpicky to mention that the card was misprinted - on the wrong side of the stock paper - and that the delivery instructions and address are printed over the care instructions, but I think it fully illustrates the extent to which Oak Creek neglected this order, paying zero attention to the details. When your product's main features are aesthetic and sensual; how it delights the senses... details matter. I'm giving Oak Creek Florist two stars. One for the quite pretty lavender roses and one for delivering early in the day so I can enjoy the flowers (once I replace the smelly water and remove some leather fern so that I can actually see and smell the flowers, of course.) My thoughtful husband earns six stars for his efforts to provide another delightful display of affection. It's not his fault Oak Creek missed the mark. read more

My elderly aunt ordered a big, beautiful arrangement to have delivered to the hospital while I was in there. She is on a fixed income, but wanted to do this from her heart even though the cost was high. The flowers were delivered a day late and just got there before I was discharged. Not only were they late, they weren't even close to what she ordered! The flowers came in a tiny square glass jar which contained a minimal amount of flowers, some of which were already wilted. She contacted the florist and was greeted with no sympathy and a very minimal discount was applied. She was taken advantage of and they didn't even care! I ordered flowers via "flowers for you" to be delivered same day to my favorite cousin for her Birthday this week. Flowers for you selected Oak Creek Florist. I choose and payed for the medium option. It was a beautiful tight bouquet of orange roses, bright pink carnations and some other pink flowers with a a touch of green. My cousin got home to find the flowers at her door that looked like a non professionalwent to a grocery store and plopped some flowers and way too much greenery in a vase and delivered it. She sent me the picture of what she recieved and I was disappointed to say the least. The lack of professionalism in the presentation and the fact the imbalance of greenery to flowers was ridiculous. I immediately called flowers for you and they offered to have the flowers redelivered in 2 days. As of last night the florist from Oak Creek called my cousin (not me) and asked of they could swap the flowers and redeliver new ones today. I guess I'll get a picture of the latest pic. But I wanted to share the unprofessional flowers that she originally received. I understand that the stock picture may not be the exact thing they're going to deliver..but it should look similar. I am soooo irritated and will never order through Flowers from you if the use Oak Creek Florist. From viewing other 1 and 2 star reviews my flowers are typical of what they put out. I would have never selected this florist on my own. I ordered a premium size bouquet that with taxes and fees came to almost $70 (that's with a $15 discount). I received a small vase with 6 roses (one is wilted but I need to leave in the vase because the arrangement is so sparse) and what suspiciously looks like 6 large carnations which were supposed to be a smaller variety of rose with a ton of greenery. They didn't even strip the small leaves off the stems so it's all soaking in water and looks a mess. Not even a ribbon on the vase. And the printed the card with typos, theirs not mine) so I can't even use it. Looks almost like I plucked from my yard and arranged myself. I am so embarrassed as I must present these tonight at an event to a special woman. I knew I should have just gone to Costco or Safeway and up a dozen roses already in a vase for less but I wanted something special and was willing to pay a florist!! Called them and they said they were not able to find the flowers I had ordered anywhere, so they thought they would just substitute for some cheap ones and hope we wouldn't notice. They didn't even bother to contact me and ask if I wanted a substitution or refund, so thanks for that. Once I called and asked for a refund on Mother's Day, they said they would have to take the already-delivered flowers back or could substitute them. If they had just contacted me in the first place I would have cancelled my order and gone elsewhere. They didn't even offer a discount or refund for their error and inconvenience.
