Some security guards are walking around on duty. The parking garage is a bit curved when you enter and exit. I only like the Christmas tree area, which is beautiful to look at in the evening, including the water fountain in the kids' area. It's nice to walk around and take profile pictures, but not much to do until the holiday season. Overall, this is great for families to hang out and for rich people to dine in.

Shout-out to the unknown vendor who built the 2026 "Year of the Horse" photo booth. A heads-up: the space availability numbers posted outside the parking garage weren't accurate at all, which made the search more frustrating than it needed to be. It was also tough navigating through the crowds at times, especially because the toddlers in our group couldn't see anything over the crowds. That said, City Center Bishop Ranch truly offers something for everyone in the family. There's a splash pad that's perfect for little ones, plenty of restaurants at every price point for picky eaters, and even fun options for adults- like a DIY cocktail crawl for the 21+ crowd. We once made it our mission to try every margarita on property! I ran into my retired high school teacher, bartending at THE LOT (movie theater). On the shopping front, I do all my Anthropologie returns here, and I've been refreshing my inbox waiting for news about Rico Rico Taco opening here (I'm obsessed with their Oakland location). As for dining, I've enjoyed meals and treats from Slanted Door, Salt & Straw, Roam Artisan Burgers, Philz Coffee, Mendocino Farms, Marugame Udon, Delarosa, and Boba Guys. I still can't believe that sleepy San Ramon now has so many fantastic eateries and experiences all in one place. It's quickly become a go-to meeting place for our extended family.

Plus, they don't charge an hourly parking like Valley Fair and Santana Row in Santa Clara. They have a good selection of stores like Great Mall mixed with Valley Fair. I barely shop for clothes here, but the food selection is good. I recommend getting a soft serve taiyaki from iSee Cream, cute boba drinks from Ume Tea, and the original boba shop Quickly. Not much dine-in restaurants in here since it's three big American chains and one new ramen restaurant. I like there's a mini work from home office next to the restroom on the second floor. Their WiFi is free to use. Some areas are a bit empty. There's also a DMV service, but I don't think they offer full service like getting a license. Overall it's nice to walk around with lots of available parking. It's even conveniently located near the BART station.

I came to Blackhawk Plaza to go to the Blackhawk Museum…read more It was a Saturday afternoon, and although the Plaza was really nice, almost all the stores here were closed. It is very picturesque here, with the ducks swimming in the man made ponds, the waterfalls and the fountains. But with most places being closed, and the place being pretty much empty, other than the Blackhawk Museum which was excellent, it really took a lot away from this place. You could tell this was a very happening place when all was well, especially in this area of Danville!!

Vasco Plaza was the first shopping area I came to, so I stopped to see what they have. It's a big plaza with not much activity. Most of the business seems to be for the Starbucks. There's a seafood market, but there's hardly any customers. Most of the plaza are small and medium size restaurants. There used to be a drugstore here, but apparently it shutdown. You can tell by just looking at the place, there's a major tenant missing. But there is a wide variety of eateries, so maybe I'll return when I have more time and try one. Lots of parking!
