Have now been twice and feel I can leave an unbiased, unpaid review. I went during lunch with a family member and loved the vibe. We were immediately seated at the bar, provided menus, drink suggestions- really just made to feel welcomed. Low lights, nice volume on the music, amazing drinks- we was vibinnngggg. Food came out HOT, HEAVY and DELICIOUS. OMG! The pasta was so. dang. good. The drinks were strong and made correctly. I bragged on this place for and couldn't wait to come back... this was four years ago (I lived in Nashville at the time). Fast Forward - 2025. My wife and I wanted to get out of the house last Monday evening and opted for OAK. We arrived at about 1030pm. There were enough cars in the parking lot to let me know there was about 20 people inside. My kinda vibe tbh. Walk in to see two hostesses seated to the left. Not really welcoming, but not stand offish either. $10 cover charge... on a Monday? Ok. Stood at the first bar to the right for about ten minutes with a guy doing nothing. Didn't greet or ask us to wait or anything. Ok. Roamed over the other bar where about four hosts/servers were standing around on phones and several more sitting in the booths you had to reserve- ordered two long islands. We had to wait several minutes for the initial bartender to find someone who knew how to make the drinks. We finally got the drinks and it tasted more like a mango margarita??? The music was jumpin- relevant, good volume. Overall an ok experience. Expectations were high after my previous visit. Lack of enthusiasm, bar/drink knowledge and seating cost OAK 2/5 stars. Seeing staff not have the same passion for it always shows in the customer experience. Oak review Great food but do not attend on a Wednesday expecting to eat while sitting. I brought 6 ladies out to eat and enjoy themselves and we were utterly disappointed. Since we could not sit and eat most of the group ordered wings. I myself ordered wings and shrimp. The sad part was that the wings were almost equivalent in size to the fried shrimp which was disheartening. To top it off Oak only has 20 spots, not including the pool table area, that are available to be reserved. Of those spots 6 of them can seat about 8 people but if it's full and all 8 ordered food some of them will be eating out of their laps. Neither of the two bar areas have any seating so if you don't reserve a seat, which I was told by the staff can only be done beforehand, you will have to stand from open to close. If you're looking to eat and enjoy yourself this is definitely not the venue to attend in my opinion. Not to mention it's a $10 cover charge on top of whatever whatever you plan on eating. Overall disappointed, that there's no restaurant aspect of this venue nor a lounge aspect which is in the title of the establishments name. While the portion size of the food was trash the flavor was at least good. When coming to Augusta which the first choice is The Partridge Inn currently closed right now you are used to fine dinning with great service from them. However before you pay this owner at the Oak Table Ruth's Chris prices if you plan on coming at 8pm or a moment after as they don't RSVP BUT will rope you into a VIP price which is non refundable and 100 dollars starting that is literally just for you and your party to sit down it includes no other amenities what so ever. Also if a by chance you don't show they hold you to a bogus "restock fee" which should not be the case as they make it clear there is nothing to include any amenity no alcohol literally paying at least 100 dollars to sit in a seat where you are purchasing food at a price outside the 100 dollars, hookah outside the 100 dollars and alcohol outside the 100 dollars so how do you charge a recorking fee for something you never opened? Bad business even the person who text me back from the establishment could not soundly justify it. After totaling the price tag to include mileage and time it takes it makes much more sense to go to Columbia SC until the Partridge reopens to a Ruth's Chris or Hall's Chop House and get what you paid for. I ordered my food to go and it was sub-par at best. The greens were not cooked well, cabbage tasteless along with the wings that appeared to be cooked without seasoning and hot sauce added. My honeys fried lobster tail was one tail and flavorless too. Over priced and overrated. read more

Kept seeing the restaurant on IG so my friends and I gave it a try on 13 Aug by going in and placing a Togo order. I regret suggesting this place. They were out of everything we wanted initially. No salmon, no lobster. We opted for the shrimp and grits, chicken Alfredo, Cajun and shrimp alfredo, and the fish and shrimp w/side salad. No idea what kind of fish it was but it had a sweet taste to it. We all also ordered a side of Mac and cheese for each. I explicitly asked if the shrimp and grits had sausage because of my dietary restrictions. I was assured there would be none. After about a 40 min wait, my friend who picked up the food checked out meals. All of the meals were not exactly hot. And the shrimp and grits were covered with big sausage pieces. I decided I'd just pick them out instead of sending it back/requesting a refund. I also regret this. The entire meal tasted of nothing but greasy sausage. The grits did have nice texture, though. The Mac and cheese was bland, odd tasting, and noodles were over cooked. I have NO clue what kind of cheese is used here but it looks as if sliced cheese was put on top and there were chucks of cheese in my friend's. Same goes for the Alfredo. We had to add cayenne and season salt and still didn't finish it. None of the food is sitting well on anyone's stomach and no one actually finished their meal. Safe to say we won't be returning. Currently visiting Augusta, GA, and wanted to support a black owned business. I received 2 recommendations that this place was simply amazing. I looked up the menu and made my way over there. I got there and ordered my food. The young lady that took my order was very, very nice. I am definitely digging her customer service skills. KEEP HER!!!! My food was ready in 15 mins as I was told. Made it back home to chow down. Normally you can smell your food, and I didn't smell anything. I opened up my collard greens, and they tasted like dirt. I even put hot sauce on them and it didn't do anything for them. The Mac and cheese was bland. The noodles were over done and no flavor. Last but not least. I had A pork chop, yes 1 pork chop, that was thin like a breakfast pork chop. Seasoning was poured on the outside on the fried skin, and the meat was not seasoned. I paid 14 dollars for food that was simply flavorless and didn't hit any spot. One last thing, being that we are in times where this pandemic is going on in the world. Why would take the packets of hot sauce and put them in the box where my pork chop is? I would expect it in the bag and they didn't even give me any eating utensils. I was in town and decided to go and visit this restaurant because a friend referred. I ordered salmon entree, turkey lasagna, and fish and shrimp entree. Least to say the meals were not fresh for to-go orders. All food was places in aluminum foil but was hot extremely cold. I waited over 20 minutes ( which wasn't a problem ) if my food was hot and fresh but it was not. The young lady was nice and had great customer service but the kitchen needs more work. read more
