Very kind people here. Extremely helpful. They walked me to the person's gravesite, which was a big help. I am old and do not walk well.

He quickly took my money and established a life policy with National Guardian Life Insurance Company. I kept asking for information from Bay Area Cremation as to who to contact when death occurs, etc. but never received anything. Once he referred me to National Guardian Life who has nothing to do with it except to pay the proceeds of the policy to Bay Area Cremation for their Services. He then told me that someone would call me within 24 hours and nobody did. Luckily, I cancelled the policy within my 30 day cancellation period. I haven't received my refund yet, I sent a letter to Bay Area Cremation at their Brentwood address and it was returned as Undeliverable. I believe that Mike Rock is nothing more than an insurance agent. BEWARE!

Death is never easy on anyone and there is a lot of emotions good and bad tied to death of a loved one. Recently loss my grandmother and I knew they were the first people I would call to start the process of following her wishes to be cremated. Danielle, Hailey, Becca and Trey all made the experience just as conforming as it was with my grandfather. They explained thoroughly the process in detail as well as reinsured and updated when my grandmother arrived to their facility safely. They brought calm and peace to what is probably the toughest time for me personally given my grandmother was like a mother to me. This team and business respects people from all walks of life along with their customers beliefs in culture or spirit working collectively with your family to carry out any wishes your loved one had. Obviously there are some protocols that they have to oblige to during the pandemic but never less did it take away from great service they provide. Im truly thankful for them, their professionalism, guidance, respect and honor goes above and beyond any expectations you would have. Its with my highest recommendation that this family owned business is your FIRST and only choice for your family member or loved one. The CABAN OHANA thanks you from the bottom of our heart and gives you our fondest aloha!

So you can imagine the state I was in when it actually happened. I've never dealt with death on this level before, more less have it be my spouse and very best friend. My sister did a lot of googling and researching to help me find a place to make arrangements. She called Diablo Valley Cremation and told me she had a really good feeling about them. We made an appt, but were actually able to come down anytime. We sat down and spoke to Bari, who was above and beyond compassionate and professional. She explained everything so gently, and it was almost as if there was nothing I had to worry about or do outside of grieving my dear husband. I knew she was the perfect fit to care for my husbands passing. She handled everything, and I mean everything. Her communication was top notch and extremely easy to get ahold of in case I had any questions or needing to talk about something. We set up a viewing before cremation, and she was at my and my families side as support throughout the entire experience. My husband looked wonderful. Although it was heartbreaking, Bari made it less horrible. We all hugged her, she made us feel comforted and safe in what we were going through. Bari has turned out to be such an invaluable and amazing partner in this tragic journey of mine. I've had to stop at the business several times to drop off cremation necklaces, my husband's urn, and pick things up. Each time I hugged and thanked her. She even got full handprints of my husband for me, not just the complimentary fingerprints. She genuinely has put so much love, care and concern into my husband, myself and our kids. The entire experience. Bari, I know I thank you so often. But I need to reiterate that I couldn't have gotten through these horrific first steps of my husbands death without your kind and gentle soul. We hope you're able to make it to the service, we'd be honored to have you. With endless gratitude and love, The Lindborg Family

From the very beginning, their team treated us with compassion, respect, and professionalism. Rose was especially wonderful--kind, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She guided me through every step with care and understanding, making sure I felt supported and never overwhelmed. The drivers who came to my home were equally professional and respectful. They handled everything with such dignity and sensitivity that it truly lifted a huge burden off my shoulders. Because of their care, I was able to focus on grieving and healing rather than worrying about the logistics. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and support I received, and I highly recommend Diablo Valley Cremation and Funeral Services to anyone in need of these services. Instead, we were met with shocking negligence. The embalming was done incorrectly, and at his funeral there were flies on his body and a foul odor so strong that even masks couldn't block it. Guests were visibly uncomfortable and left questioning the care he received. Afterward, the funeral home admitted the embalmer hadn't done the job correctly and that my brother still needed more time to be prepared -- yet they never told us beforehand. This robbed us of leaving our last memory with him in peace, turning it into something even more painful and traumatic. This was more than a mistake; it was a profound failure to treat a human being with the basic dignity he deserved. Their negligence has left us still living a nightmare, deepening our grief and leaving a wound that will never fully heal.

I have no idea how they still have open spots, but Mom got one in the Oak Room, near a plant which I thought was great because she loves plants. Claude was able to do all the paperwork in half an hour and off we went. Mom and Dad didn't want to do any financing and wanted to pay cash. Here's a tip, bring your checkbook or actual cash, or else you'll be hit with a crazy processing fee of almost 4%, which would have equaled almost $500, just to use a credit card. Save yourself that fee by being prepared. If you need to make your arrangements, you can't do it online. They want you to come in and do the paperwork, but it doesn't take long.
