Gf and I ordered from here tonight. Pizza and a tiramisu. The pizza came with all the topping having slid to one side and the the entire thing was absolutely oozing grease. It was disgusting. The crust was just as bad. It was brittle, tasteless, and without any rise. It made Domino's look like Pepe's. Then the Tiramisu. It was a tiny sliver for $5, which irked me, but then we noticed how dry it seemed (and tasted). We each took one bite and put it in the refrigerator bc it was too gross to eat after that greasy pizza. Later, I take it out to consider another bite and I see a big spot of MOLD on it. Absolutely abhorrent. I can't wrap my head around how disgusting this whole experience was. Do not go here. And if you work for the health department you may want to pop in. read more

i feel like this place has really fallen off. it used to be my favorite until it was taken over. for awhile it tasted the same and then something changed. now it's incredibly bland and i even found a piece of metal in the last pizza i got. luckily they refunded it for me but just overall so sad that this place isn't what it used to be. read more

I was visiting from out of state and a friend had told me this was a Greek family and had raved about their food and pizza. I ordered 2 pies to go and was disappointed overall. While there was nothing "wrong" with the pizza, it was greasy and average at best. The folks running the show weren't a Greek family, at least while I was there. With all of the amazing pizza that can be had around here, why bother with mediocre at best? Try Christos or Little Rendezvous for coal fired pizza that is truly 5 star. read more

Found my new favorite pizza joint in Wallingford Great pizza. Crust not too thick - not too thin. Sauce was superb. Toppings and cheese fresh. Baked to perfection. Meatball grinder was outstanding. Limited menu. Don't come in looking for the latest craze in "gourmet" cuisine. Don't come in for the decor. True Mom and Pop restaurant that has been there for decades Owners and staff are extremely friendly and will bend over backwards to insure you love your order. Don't even try to order online. We have been getting our pizza from George for about 50 years. Best pizza. Loved their meatball grinders and combination grinders. Chef salad, good! Tonight our order of 1 meatball grinder, heated and 1 combination grinder heated came to $32.00!!!!!!! A month ago the total was about $20!!!! I know prices are going up but NOPE. We won't be going back. Person taking the order didn't know her job. Neither grinder was heated. Food was ok. We thought that maybe George has sold out. Man I spoke to said he was George's partner. Hmmmm. Facebook page has photo of menu..... from 2017. The price for a 12 inch grinder was a little over $7. Can understand increase in prices but..... wow. We will be making our own food. I gave it 2 stars because the food was good but not exactly how we ordered it. read more

After reading some raving reviews on Yelp, I decided to give Oakdake Pizza a try. Since then, my family and I have nearly solely bought from this family restaurant. (My parents swear by this place and refuses to buy from anywhere else.) Though I'm not entirely a fan of the pie, the service is incredibly friendly and warm. The pizza seems to be Greek styled: has a thick crust and adds a fair amount of cheese. I just wish it was a bit more saucy (but that's just the type of gal I am!) I definitely do not pass for a pizza connoisseur but I believe the restaurant is worth a try! Their sitting area feels kind of cramped and the interior in general is a little worn out but everything still feels homey. I would recommend for family nights! read more

Nice to see how highly rated they are. This was my "go to" spot for pizza before going to the Oakdale theatre. And I think my memories of Oakdale pizza are better than Oakdale Theatre. LOL. We love coming here- we call it "George's" instead of Oakdale Pizza because the owners are so friendly you feel like you're going to an old friends house. The decor is waaaay outdated but they've been here forever. We usually stop in for grinders or pizza so I'm not sure how the other food is. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere- George often buys big boxes of Wise chips and gives you a few bags free chips with your order, not 100% of the time but often enough to mention it. Certainly very generous of them. George sometimes sings while he's making your order- tells you that he still loves what he does after all these years! Customer service is huge for my family (even my 9 yo won't stand for terrible service!) and this is something they do consistently well. We love to support local businesses so we will definitely continue coming here! read more

Everyone likes George and his family. Pizza is Greek style, and is relatively tasty. Have been eating there for many years before George and wife went back to Greece and then after they came back. I gave one star because of a recent occurrence that was so disgusting I couldn't believe it. I was three slices in to a pizza, when all of a sudden I bit down on something hard. Pulling it out I discovered that I actually had someone's fake fingernail in my mouth. This was easily one of the grossest restaurant experiences of my life, and there have been several. I called the restaurant and let them know I had their fingernail if they needed it back. No amount of free pizza or apologies can resolve this one. This is a big no no for me. Gross. I still have the nail in a bag. Lots of other pizza places in town that don't have these issues. read more

Oakdale has Greek styled pizza which is the best I've ever tried. The food here is great, I highly recommend the fried chicken pizza (with or without BBQ) the chicken parm grinders, the antipasto salad, the mozz sticks and many more great items here.
