    Large sausage, mushrooms and onions
    Claudine R.

Had the sausage, mushrooms and onions pizza and it was pretty good, thin crust, generous toppings. Pie was ready in 15 minutes from the time we called it in. $24 large pie was worth it. Cash or check only.

Cheshire has many places where you can go, and get a good pizza, and Pop's is definitely on that list. Pop's has both indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a great selection of pizza you can purchase by the slice. We ordered a large mozz, and meatball pizza to go. The crust is a little thicker than New Haven style, but was crispy and cooked to perfection. The sauce was excellent, and the meatballs were sliced paper thin. They also are not skimpy with their toppings. We also tried their large meatball sub and it was excellent. Prices here are very reasonable.

Yes, I eat pizza with pineapple on it.

This is my husband's new favorite pizza place. The pizza and food is good and the prices are very reasonable. You can bring your family here to eat and it won't cost an arm and a leg.

8/9/23 Note the one cucumber slice...

8/9/23 Oh! Dear Lord! What a MAJOR disappointment Pop's Pizza was for me. It came recommended by a friend who lives nearby and said he wouldn't get his pizza anywhere else. As for me, I'd as soon get one from just about anywhere ELSE! I came in today for the first, and very LAST time based upon that recommendation. It's an order at the counter, served at the table sort of place. It's also a "cash only" sort of place, with an ATM on premises. I ordered a house salad with blue cheese dressing that was fresh, but skimpy on the cucumber (1) SLICE and one grape tomato cut in half, and blue cheese dressing that really didn't taste a whole lot like blue cheese.. I decided on a small (12") pie with onions, mushrooms, bacon and double Italian sausage. The mushrooms were practically incinerated, and the sausage had an unusual, and not terribly pleasant flavor. The sauce was EXTREMELY spicy, and also had a somewhat unpleasant under taste. I left the restaurant and over half the pizza on the round aluminum sheet pan it was served on (check my photos). This is one pizza joint I'm dropping from my "saved" list, for certain. Oh, By the way, the one star is for the excellent crust. Honest!

Meat lovers and the best I've ever had.

I ordered a large cheese pizza, and it has to be one of the best I've had in a long time. The crust was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of char, not greasy at all, and every bite was packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every pie they make. It's that kind of pizza where you immediately know you'll be thinking about it later. Honestly, I wish my wife and kids were here to try it with me--they would've loved it. I'm from California, and I can say I haven't had many pizzas back home that compare to this. It's that good. In fact, I ended up coming back a second time before heading home because I just couldn't pass up another chance to have it again. That alone should say everything. On top of the amazing pizza, the employees were friendly and welcoming, and you can tell it's a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do. That kind of atmosphere makes the experience even better. If you're anywhere near the area, I highly recommend stopping by Fuoco Apizza. Whether you heard about it from Barstool or not, it absolutely lives up to the hype. You won't be disappointed.

I loved how inviting the dim environment with all their glowy lights was. I sat at the bar where this sweet bartender Liz helped me select a drink off of their extensive, delicious, looking creative menu. I got my dressing on the side as well as their sweet citrus on the side but they know their stuff bc the cider vinegarette couldn't have paired better . I just say, and I feel this is most important other than the patient and menu guidance via Liz, this dirty pickle martini (which is subbed with gin) was the besttt martini I've EVERRRRRR had in my life. They make their own pickle juice here in house to mimic grillos pickles as much as possible. They are spot on, if not even better. I love this place. Hands-down the best gluten-free crust she's ever had. Perfect texture, great flavor, and it actually looked like real pizza -- crisp, golden, and not the usual sad cardboard situation you get at most places. I went classic with the pepperoni and it was unreal. Perfect balance of crispy edges, melty cheese, and that savory pepperoni kick. Everything came out fresh, hot, and honestly better than a lot of big-name pizza spots around here. Service was quick, the vibes were great, and the quality was top tier. If you're gluten-free (or even if you're not), Ritual Pizza is 100% worth it. We'll definitely be back.

The latter worked as the head chef for Krust Pizza & Bourbon Bar in Middletown. The venture initially started out as a pizza pop-up that would appear at various Connecticut breweries and festivals. The partners quickly gained a following with their delicious pies. One of the breweries that Ritual frequently crafted pizzas at was Labyrinth Brewing Company in Manchester. In November 2023, Ritual opened a brick & mortar location inside of Labyrinth complete with a new Pizza Master oven. Everything was going well for the pizzeria until a gigantic ball was dropped in July 2024 when Labyrinth announced that they would be closing their doors by the end of the month. For the rest of the year, Ritual went back to operating as a pop-up venture. In February 2025, Ritual opened their new brick & mortar location inside Counter Weight Brewing Company in Cheshire. In addition to their delicious pizza pies, the menu also consists of smash burgers, hot dogs, fries, and various small plates. My family and I tried out food from Ritual Pizza Co this past summer while we were at Labyrinth Brewing. We had stopped in for lunch after visiting a fire museum nearby. I had visited Labyrinth a few times before, but this was my first visit since Ritual set up their pizza kitchen there. I had been following them on social media for a while and I had been anxious to try their pizza. We decided to order and share the "Pepperoni" (shredded mozz, oregano, pepperoni) and the "Street Korn Pie" (shredded mozz, braised chicken, chunky bacon, ranch drizzle). We also ordered a side of "Mac N' Cheese" (mac n' cheese topped with toasted ritz crackers) for our younger son who prefers pasta to pizza. The pepperoni pie had some great sauce, crust and flavor. We mainly ordered it for our older son; pepperoni is his favorite. The one that really impressed my wife and I was the Street Korn Pie. It was an excellent fusion of Mexican and Italian cuisines; so much flavor! Just 10 days after our visit, Labyrinth announced that they would be closing their doors. Ritual soon released a statement announcing that they had every intention of reopening at a new location. I was so happy to hear that they have now reopened at Counter Weight and I look forward to eating their delicious pizza again!
