Oakes hotel location is great. You are close by the falls and many restaurants and bars. The only issue with this hotel is checking in.... It can take couple hours. Summer is the busy season for this area and it seems like this hotel is popular because the price and location; However, They need to improve the guest check in experience. I would give it 5 stars for the view from my room. I stayed here for the 4th of july and conveniently watched the fireworks from the hotel. Another plus about Oakes hotel is you are right in the center of many restaurants and bars no need to drive and pay for parking if you stay here.

If you want one of the best views of Niagara then this is for you. If you don't pay for a top floor suite with a falls view then you will very much regret this hotel. The view is amazing and my wife and I loved our vacation because of the central location. However, it's very much run down. When our bed didn't come with a fitted sheet and I requested one they said, "we don't do those anymore..." So yes, it's that run down and odd. But again if you want to wake up staring at the falls and watch the fire works while going to bed then this is a great pick.

Servicable hotel in a great part of the Falls, Oakes Hotel has a fantastic view. If you stay here expecting Ritz Carlton 5 stars, don't. This is a relatively run diwn, dated building with sitains on sheets and cracked celings. The elevators creek and grown. But it is safe. Paying extra for parking is worth it - you end up paying about $100 for tourist % and other costs, but it's the Falls, and these guys have to eat. I would encourage any who stay there to know that you can get a good deal on Booking.com usually. Dont oay more than a few hundred for the night at most. -Zuk

My husband convenience us to book this place because their was 5 us & this hotel has a bi-level room that could accommodate all of us in one place. The way the hotel is located this has to be the best view. This hotel has a variety of packages deal. Voucher to the Falls casino, breakfast to Applebees, beer, spirits sampling & dinner at restaurants. Those alone were good deals. Which we used most them parking is the cheapest out the other 2 hotels that claimed they have a views. This hotel is the only onsite parking The lobby is small, their is no coffee machine in the room, or a safe. Maid services does not come to the room everyday. We were fine by that. The room did have a decent size refrigerator. The upstairs room faces the street & across is a restaurant called My Cousin Vinny. You can hear the live music at night. When you go downstairs you can't hear it & you have a spectacular view of the falls. We were on the 14 th floor. I over herd someone say they were on the 9th floor their view was amazing. The bathroom is huge. At one point we clog the bathroom. 4 female & 1 male. The maintenance guys came right away, fix it, & brought us towel. I was super nervous about this hotel not going to lie. I see that Mr. Rachit read these review. I even tired reaching out to him in advance because I was really nervous. No luck. When I was in the lobby getting more towels I was having a conversation with this British lady. She said her towel we thin & she wasn't impressed with the hotel. I told her that I already knew all about the bad reviews in advance. She said well I am from England & I told I am from Florida. Like so! Do your researcher in advance & take a chance. If you are booking the room for the fall view then ok but if you're not then book air bnb. Or another hotel.

I went to Niagara Falls as a solo female traveler for my 31st birthday. I wanted the best view from my room so I did quite a bit of research before booking. I came across Oakes Hotel and after reading reviews I decided to go for it, and boy am I glad I did. The location is pretty convenient, and the staff was very nice (the key card did stop working at one point but I just went back and got it re-magnetized). As you can see THE VIEW WAS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING (my receipt said the unit assignment was 1417 so hopefully that's the room number you can ask for when booking it was the 'Fallsview 1 King Heart Jacuzzi'). It had a lovely jet tub, a table, a mini fridge, a separate area with a couch and TV, a king-size bed with another TV, and a very good air conditioner. I was in awe of this hotel and watching the falls light up nightly was just as spectacular as waking up to the beautiful view of the falls. I would absolutely stay here again.

Had the jacuzzi corner suite on the 18 floor. This hotel is perfect walking distance from the funicular. 3 minute walk. Great location was able to see the American and Canadian falls from my room. The pillows weren't that comfy but the bed was nice. The room was clean and spacious. Love the jacuzzi could fit 2 people comfortably.

first and foremost: BEWARE THE $40 A DAY PARKING FEE!! this was not mentioned on booking.com! i highly suggest you research cheaper parking and do that instead. there's a parking deck literally metres away that was $15 a day. def look around first! that hidden fee was extremely annoying and caught us off guard. another downside is the rooms aren't extremely clean. smudges on the clock, fridge, etc. a simple wipe down would fix that yet nobody else noticed? however, it's not all bad. amazing view of the falls if you choose a falls view room. stunning view, day or night. location is also ideal. walking distance to many places along the strip, including the little elevator thing that takes you down to the falls. you can walk to the falls, but walking back uphill after kinda sucks. gym is just a few treadmills, but pool is nice. avoid the applebees next door for breakfast, it's pricy and food was meh. there's a $10.99 all you can eat breakfast place across the street that's probably better... applebees was dead yet that parking lot was packed. too bad we noticed it after we ordered at applebee's. so this is basically the poor man's way to get a falls view room. next time i might spend the extra $$ and get a hotel with free parking and a bit cleaner.

The room was broken down, barely clean and ant infested. It was clearly built over a parking lot beside a garbage dump. I would give zero stars if I could. Spend more and go somewhere else.

When choosing a hotel, it's important to know what's important to you in general for lodging and what's important for a particular trip. There's always going to be give and take and the more you want, the more it will cost. Simple economics. So, if you want to stay in a hotel that is centrally located in probably one of the most touristy areas in the entire world, it'll cost you. But comparatively, The Oakes is less expensive but that comes at a cost too. There's no in-room coffee maker but there's a free coffee bar on the first level, so you just go down and get coffee there and come back up. There's no microwave or minibar but there is a rather large mini fridge so you just buy drinks and snacks that don't need to be heated up. There's not an ice machine on every floor. You just go get ice on the floors that have them. There's no room service so grab food at a grocery store or eat before you go or go down to the Applebee's and get something to bring up. I don't know, if you a grown person and don't know how to take care of yourself on the road, maybe this isn't the place for you. Now, I would probably never stay here again but that's nothing to do with this hotel but just because I'll probably never comes to Niagara Falls again and if I did, I would stay someplace not on the strip. This was a special trip for my mother's birthday weekend and when we got in the room and I opened the curtains, she almost cried when she saw the view, which, giving her a magical experience in Niagara Falls was the most important thing about this trip and The Oakes nailed it in this regard. And, in a way, this probably saved as much money as it cost because we spent a whole afternoon and both evenings just hanging out watching the falls and illuminations and fireworks, eating our own snacks and drinking our own drinks. There are surely more inclusive hotels here like the Embassy Suites or Hilton, but those are way least another hundred or two a night. For the view and price, Oakes can't be beat. I was bummed that the hot tub wasn't really hot (101 degrees according to the maintainence guy and we said, "we're from Texas, that's not hot") and the jets sucked so that's mainly where they lost the star for me, otherwise, our room was clean, yes the pillows were trash but I'm neither suprised nor disappointed by this, I expect hotel pillows to be trash, sheets and towels were clean, view was excellent, staff was nice.

But be forewarned: there are two Marriott-branded hotels located almost next door to each other another -- the other is directly across the street. I saw one couple confused about their booking. They were at the wrong hotel. It appears the the hotel most people are seeking when they book the "best view" is usually the Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa at 6740 Fallsview Boulevard. The nearby Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls at 6755 Fallsview Boulevard is a separate property. I was very pleased with the Fallsview Hotel. Unlike many hotels that advertise a falls view but have only a partial glimpse, the hotel's location provides a sweeping panorama of the falls. Most rooms seem to have a falls view. Higher-floor rooms offer an almost cinematic perspective, especially during the nightly illumination show and when fireworks are scheduled (nightly at 10 p.m. after May -- those poor gulls and their babies!). The facilities are extensive. The hotel features the recently renovated Burning Springs Spa and Thermal Pools, a fitness center, indoor pool that is sadly less that 5 feet at the deepest point, direct access to the Fallsview tourist district and convenient connections to nearby attractions. But spa access is not included in the stay-- such a disappointment. Generally, the property feels more like a destination than a standard convention hotel, with many public spaces oriented toward the falls. That includes and onsite Starbucks and Mortons steakhouse, plus a gift shop with a massive assortment of items: clothing, hats, bathing suits and goggles (even for the kids), maple syrup treats, medicine and beverages, etc. The biggest surprise for many guests is parking. Valet parking is convenient but expensive, currently around $80 per day, while self-parking is approximately $50-60 per day and located off-site rather than directly beneath the hotel. Valet service may be worthwhile because the self-parking lot requires about a 5-minute walk and the hotel arrival area can become crowded during peak times Overall, the staff was great -- they even sent up a red velvet cake for our anniversary! And the king suite (23rd floor) was sizable and comfortable, with a jet spa in the room looking directly toward the falls. The bed and pillows were also comfy. They also have two seats right in front of the windows with spectacular views. But there were so many bugs -- dozens and dozens gathered on the exterior glass -- after dark, we opted to keep the lights off. Not a concern, though. I would definitely stay here again.

For what this hotel charges, even if you're using points, I expected a much nicer and better maintained property. Instead, the entire hotel felt run down. The lobby had obvious water damage on the ceiling with peeling paint, which was not a great first impression. There were plenty of elevators, but it seemed like half of them were out of service during my stay. The room was no better. The shower curtain looked dirty, the towels did not feel clean, there were chips and scratches all over the furniture, peeling paint around the windows, and cracked bathroom tiles. Everywhere I looked there were signs that basic maintenance had been ignored. Even Morton's Grille was disappointing. For a restaurant that is supposed to be more upscale, it was dim, the chairs were peeling, and it just felt worn out. What made it even more frustrating was seeing the hotels around it. I went into the Hyatt next door and it was beautiful. Even the Marriott across the street, which does not have the same falls view, looked much newer and much better maintained. It made me wonder why this property has been allowed to get into this condition. The view is absolutely amazing, but the hotel itself does not match the price at all. I left feeling like I paid for the view and nothing else. I would not stay here again unless the property gets a major renovation.

Incredible view from my room of the Falls and nightly fireworks. The hotel has everything you could ask for: a convenience store, gift shop, Starbucks, multiple restaurants, a spa, a small gym, and both an indoor and outdoor pool. The room was clean and had everything you could ask for. Really, the complaint was the limited TV options, but I probably only spent a few hours in my room, where I wasn't sleeping. Here's a review that is firm but credible: Beautiful View, But Absolutely Not Worth $509+ Per Night We chose the Sheraton Fallsview expecting an upscale, resort-style experience and paid over $509 per night for our room. Unfortunately, the experience did not come close to justifying that price. The location and view of Niagara Falls are wonderful, but a spectacular view alone does not make a hotel a luxury resort. During our stay, only two elevators were operating to service a 22-story hotel, resulting in frustrating waits simply to get to and from our room. For a hotel of this size and at this price point, that is unacceptable. We were also disappointed in the condition of the room, particularly the bathroom. The hotel heavily promotes its renovation, but our bathroom certainly did not feel like what you would expect from a recently renovated, upscale property. It felt dated and lacking in the finishes and attention to detail I would expect when paying more than $500 per night. What bothered us most was the disconnect between the way this hotel is marketed and the actual guest experience. At this rate, I expect more than a good location--I expect excellent maintenance, efficient elevators, updated accommodations, quality amenities and a genuine resort-level experience. Niagara Falls itself was spectacular, and the hotel's location is hard to beat. However, the Sheraton Fallsview did not deliver a $509-a-night experience for us. I would gladly pay a premium for a true luxury Fallsview hotel, but based on our stay, I would not choose this property again at these rates.

The employees here are fantastic. And I mean everyone. From the minute we met the valet guys in the parking lot, the front desk, the elevator jockeys, the evening happy hour crew, breakfast staff, have I missed anyone? I hope not. All very friendly & helpful. When we stay at the falls, we book the best room possible. It doesn't come cheap. We're ok with that because for us we want to enjoy that majestic view of both sets of falls every morning and evening. This hotel does have rooms with fantastic views. Whether its early morning watching the fog roll around below, or later in the evening watching the lighted falls and fireworks you cannot beat the view here. But when you're dropping a grand a night you don't want to stay in a place that seems worn and dated. This corner suite came with one of those commercial quality massage loungers you might find in your local gym. Nice in a novelty kind of way, but there was only one (thinking most people travel in pairs?) and honestly after the 5 minute "tried it because it was there" it just became a big piece of immovable junk that blocked part of the falls view from the bed. There were two other chairs as well, but they were the hardback chairs you'd find in the dining room of the hotel. Seriously? Again, we paid a lot of money to kick back and relax in the evening with a cocktail and that view. There was absolutely no comfort to the chairs at all. Why not take the money from the massage chair and invest in two nice swivel loungers? Seems like that would've been a much better use of the money. Another problem for this hotel is the lack of room service. There are two restaurants at the hotel, STK Steakhouse and a TGIFridays. Neither location provides room service. We walked through both onsite restaurants the first evening, neither were serving a full house by any means. It seems like they could use the additional business of providing room service...perhaps this is some kind of contractual issue between them and the hotel. Either way, big opportunity miss here. Remember, people are paying to stay in room with fabulous views...but they must leave to get food and drink? Lastly, a brand management problem. Unlike most other hotel chains, Hilton still hasn't returned to normal daily room housekeeping. Look, Covid is over. Your rates more than cover getting someone to come in to collect the dirty towels and make the bed. It's time to bring back quality service.

Our room was recently renovated and beautiful. The elevator situation is pure chaos. We stayed on the 24th floor and often waited 15 minutes to go down. I can't even imagine how it is in the summer, we went mid-September. Going up isn't as bad because staff control those getting on the elevator ms from the lobby. Skipped the morning breakfast to enjoy Tim Horton's, a quick walk from the hotel. The incline railway tram is right behind the hotel and is a quick, fun way to head to the Niagara Falls visitor center. Parking is ridiculously expensive but half off with a handicap permit. We found it worth it for our needs. Overall a great stay, just frustration with the elevators.

The most offensive thing about this hotel was the fact that our room was not cleaned very well. As soon as we walked in I found myself wiping a bunch of sticky little finger prints off the windows. It's crazy that in a hotel where the whole point is the view the windows weren't wiped at all. Even worse than that though was the nasty wadded up tissue I found in the peephole (pictured in this review). Who knows how long it's been there, I definitely am not touching it to remove it. The parking situation was a bit pricey as well for having to use a shuttle to get back to your car, however the shuttle did come very fast so it wasn't a big deal. Also, for the price you would expect the amenities to be a little better. We had no ice machine on our floor, there was no hotel bar, you have to special request house keeping, etc. Overall this hotel would be a 5/5 if it was cleaned properly.
