This place is on Fort Gregg-Adams, so you do need base access to be able to go here…read more This was probably the neatest, cleanest, most well maintained bowling alley I have been to in a long time, or possibly even ever. My kiddo has been wanting to learn to bowl, so this was the second place we have tried. They have sooooooooo many balls for younger kids since this is targeted toward military families. There were ample 4, 5, 6, and 7 pound balls. It was soooooooooo easy to find some smaller ones for my kiddos to use. I really appreciated that. You ask at the front desk for them to set the bumpers, but once they set them, they raise and fall each time for the players. So hubs and I could earn our gutter balls fair and square, while the kids got higher than they would have earned without them... Definitely better than places where you either have to have them up or down the whole time. No music was playing although they have one of those jukeboxes where you pay for songs on a phone app, but I rather liked how we weren't screaming over the music and pins falling. We ordered some two cheeseburger combos and a nachos and cheese. I really liked that when you order nachos, they grab you an individual bag of either Tostitos or nacho cheese Doritos, so it is consistent sized every time. The cheese dip is that delicious, iridescent orange cheese at ballparks and convenience stores, but boy does it hit the spot. It is a little pricy for $5.25, but the burger combos are a STEAL. Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions, and the condiment bar has so many options: mustard, ketchup, relish, ranch, hot sauce, honey mustard... it also comes with fries and a fountain drink (with orange soda, fruit punch, root beer, regular soda, Powerade... all the choices my picky kids love!) for $8.25. Cheaper than I pay at fast food chains these days and it was GREAT. Char marks and everything. Yum! You pay by the hour, and for shoe rentals and I do wish that the computer had a timer so you know how far into the hour you are, so you can gauge if you should start a new game or not, if you forgot to look at the time you started after trying to find multiple balls, get appropriately sized shoes and everything it takes to get two kiddos ready to bowl. We will definitely be back, we loved this location.

However this time was different…read more So I walked in with my two daughters and the guy working behind the counter was sitting in a chair with his legs propped up on the counter(red flag #1). He then preceded to pull out a cash drawer and count it down which took an additional ten minutes of us just standing there. We were told that new policy was in place that required us to pay on that side for bowling lane so I said no problem. Well, when he pulled out the mobile square payment device for cards the thing wasn't even charged up! So I still ended up paying on the food side( so much for new policy). Very unprofessional and even the young lady working the food side said " his lazy azz been here all day doing nothing , so the least he could have done was have the device charged and ready to go" . Ordered wings and they sucked but that wasn't the issue.

I find this place to be extremely small (not by the number of lanes but by there being no real room…read moreto move). Our first lane kept breaking down and at first when requested to move they would not let us. After the about 10th time breaking down they finally agreed to move us. The service is okay, nothing terrible and nothing great. The food isn't all that good at all but is editable. The price was okay as well, nothing great but not highway robbery either. I would recommend going to other places however if you live nearby (about a block in any direction there is a lot of residental area) I could understand walking.

I will honestly even make the trip up just to come hang out at River City. When you walk inside you have a hostess stand where someone is waiting the help you out. Everyone that we had contact with employee wise were great. Everyone was helpful, kind, and professional We ate first while we waited for our lanes to be open. There is absolutely no complaint about the food here. Everything was great. I had a BLT sandwich. It was jam packed with crispy bacon that I asked for, lettuce, tomato, mayo sandwiched between 2 thick slices of bread. The pizzas looked delicious. They are made in a fire pizza oven. All of the food came out piping hot. Out waitress was great. She was attentive and made sure everything came out, and our drinks were always filled. The waffles were a perfect sweetness, and had a good amount of berries and paired with syrup that I think was maple syrup. My friends, and husband raved about their drink with alcohol. So kudos to the bartenders. The dry rub wings had a great crispy to them and they did not lack seasoning. Lastly, get the cheddar biscuits. They are made fresh, and had great flavor. They had scoop of butter, grape and strawberry jelly. When it came time for bowling. Our bill and drinks were transferred over to the alley tab. Our shoes were waiting for us at the lanes. Bowling was a breeze, and navigating the computer system to keep score was easy. The seating in the alleys were leather couches, and a table to have food at. There was a waitress walking around getting anything we needs, like food, drinks or problems that needed to be solved. Bathrooms were clean and amusing with signage. It made me giggle. The supplies were well stocked. The alleys and property inside and out were very clean. The surrounding area seems to be making a change, but it is still questionable in some areas, and there is a lot of construction nearby. I always felt safe though. There was a misunderstanding with the reservation process and turns out we never had a reservation. Either way Ben stepped up and just made things right. He was great. He took care of us. Customer service is over 5 stars!

I've only done bowling once, but this place is so big you can hang out without it! Last time I visited was for Singo brunch - which was SO fun!
