I highly highly recommend the spicy cheese curds!! They were the best ever! The chicken patty and wings tasted and felt like they were frozen and that's why I took a star off. They were still good, but not my favorite. They let us walk around the back and check out the distillery. I thought it was so neat to see the BTS! This place was so much more than we had expected! We thought we were just checking out a cool looking place and grabbing a drink, which is exactly what we did, but the experience was so much more! Starting with the welcoming greeting from Tammy who also served us delicious samples of different flavors of Moonshine. The distillery is nice and family-friendly. There's two different sitting areas - the front and the back. We sat in the back which was good with kids as it was quieter. They were super busy when we went. You order at the bar and the handful of times I went up there to order the line was backed up to the entrance door. My husband and I had drinks and we all ordered food. The food was good, but we had to wait 45 minutes for apps. I wish we had been warned when we ordered what the wait time would have been. The duck bacon wontons were delicious and the spinach artichoke dip came with crostinis for a nice change. The Tiramisu White Russian was a holiday specialty but the Cranberry Winter Thyme was on the regular menu. The crust on the Bianca Flatbread was some of the best I've ever had, and the Sticky Chicken sandwich was super-tasty. You order at the bar, which is slightly unusual. The star attraction turned out to be the tasting of the Distillery's wares! We bought three bottles for ourselves/gifts. My husband and I wandered into Oakley Brothers Distillery when we were in Anderson on some family business. We had noticed the billboard on the highway and then happened to see it when we were in town. The staff are very friendly and knowledge and the ambiance of this place is fantastic. My husband, usually a scotch drinker, ordered a bourbon and said it's the first bourbon he really liked, and bought a bottle of it. I ordered a spiced blood orange hard soda and liked it so much I bought 8 cans to take home. This place is fantastic and I wish they had a location in Indianapolis so I could go there more often, but it's probably better for my health that they aren't close to me! While passing through town, we decided to stop by Oakley Brothers. It wasn't what I had in mind, but we still had a great time together! I found the drinks I tried to be a bit too sweet for my taste, but my sister loved her specialty martini. The highlight of our visit was the lovely lady who guided us through the tastings. Having seen this places sign on the highway a while ago, I have been meaning to get here for some time. I finally made it this past weekend. The place did not disappoint. They have a nice cocktail menu, highlighted with some decent whiskies. I got the whiskey flight. For a small distillery in Anderson, IN, I was impressed with the whiskey. Well, except the chocolate whiskey, I didn't care for that one. The food menu was also good. We opted for the Gouda bacon burger. The burger was cooked right, bacon was crispy, and the toppings were fresh. The tator tots were crispy, which is how I like them. I will definitely be back. read more

Their website wasn't working when we planned our trip so I was not sure how it all worked! You order your drinks and food at the bar. You'd never guess this place is tucked away in what appears to be quite the sleepy town. The building on the outside looked cool and Inside was even better. New to us, Oakley Bros is it. My partner had the breakfast burrito- packed with eggs, veggies, cheese. Very good. Chicken and waffles- Norwegian sugar pearl waffles with hand battered fried chicken. Also very good. We had the Valentini and spiked hot chocolate for round one. Both so tasty- neither overly sweet and both just the right amount of boozy. Second round was a chocolate old fashioned- better than we expected and such a great balance of whiskey, orange and chocolate. Didnt think it was possible. Then we tried a shot of their clear rum- great. Taste of their pure moonshine- WOW. What an enlightened moonshine- and surprisingly sweet. Strawberry lemonade moonshine- great right out of the bottle to drink. The stunner was the Gin- best gin ive ever had. Good enough to drink straight any day. We had a fun night visiting Oakley Brothers. Very good mixed drinks with all their own spirits. They even have Delta 8 infused drinks (limit 2 per person). It was busy and they had live music. Our bartenders kept us supplied with drinks when we needed more. The best part was all the adult games they have back in the warehouse area. Darts, big jenga, board games, and shuffleboard!! My wife grabbed a mixed drink, had a lot of flavor, and was great. The food that was delivered to other tables, looked great! My negative comes in terms of the spirits. Upon nosing the glasses, they all smelled of the dish soap used, thus it was hard to differentiate the nose of the spirit to the nose of the cleaned glass. I tasted the Flyover, Sweet Wheat, High Rye, and White Rum. I came away with Sweet Wheat being my favorite and Flyover being ranked second. I was not a fan, nor was my wife of the white rum. It tasted like a mix of soap and wet dog, not a "pro" for my palate. For the whiskey connoisseurs, these whiskeys have flavor, but are obviously young. Ask for management: I'm not sure if my situation was a one-off, but the nose from the glass being primarily soap (assuming due to the dish soap) really affects the profile and created a negative experience for me in what I go to a distillery for, to taste spirits in their most natural form. read more

Came here for ladies night and the drink flights were incredible. A lot smaller than what they looked like in the advertisement, but the four mini jars were just enough! We met with a group of eight on a Thursday night. Each couple placed their order at the bar. When the food started coming out there were long gaps between food and everything was out of order. My wife's chicken sandwich came out so burnt it was near black. She tried to take a bite and couldn't even bite through it. I ordered a pizza and it was burnt on the edges but I removed the burnt portion and the entire pizza tasted like the oven shelf. It was disgusting. One couple both ordered smash burgers and what they got was a cooked from frozen preformed hamburger patty and both said it was not very good. Another couple ordered tenderloin sandwiches and both said the tenderloin was flash fried where the meat was done but the breading was soft and doughy. The folks working there were too busy talking with each other to pay any attention to the guest. They did tell my wife they would take her sandwich off. The replacement chicken sandwich had a horrible flavor and my wife did not eat it. They do not have wait staff so you are are on your own as far as making sure you get your food, utensils, etc. so more or less it's a self serve operation. The cook kept coming out to hang with the staff up front so no surprise the food was crap. Maybe a good place to get a drink but if you are looking for quality food go elsewhere! read more

I'm not a big liquor person, so when my friends suggested this place I was iffy. But in fact this little slice of liquor heaven is rather awesome. Their tasting floor is bigger than I though upon entering with space for 50 people comfortably. The bar is where it's at though. The staff working the bar know their liquors and they are honest in their reviews. They take pride in selling quality drinks. Oakley brothers makes good staples like gin, rum and bourbon- but it's their experiments that make the visit worthwhile. On my last visit the bartender had us sample their pineapple infused gin and the apple cinnamon gin. As mixers they're good but I couldn't do the pineapple. They listened to my feedback and guided me to something more my taste- a house made apple-tini thing. It was good but after tasting a flight with their smoked bourbon, it was easy to talk me into trying their old fashions. The artisanship flew! First, they smoke/char a woodplank and capture it in your glass, holding in the flavors till your drink is mixed. Then swirl it all together with a flourish. Located on the north east corner of Jackson and 8th Street, this huge building contains a bar/lounge area on the south end and a game room/distilling operation in the rest of the space. You can stop by and pickup bottles to go or have the bartender make you a beverage with one of their house brewed spirits. During the week, there is street parking on the south and west sides of the building. Note that there aren't any signs that say anything about parking. If you are the first to arrive, it looks like you are just stopping in the street. (I hope they can get the city to put up some signs to help customers.) On weekends and after 5, there are some neighboring lots across the street that are available (south side of 8th St.) I heard two other parties ask the bartender about parking, so I know I wasn't the only one confused. Inside, the industrial look of the lounge/bar is a mix of brick and concrete. On the right as you enter is a fireplace with a large shark mounted over it. The bar is to the left where there is stool seating and additional tables. A menu behind the bar tells the pricing for the spirits they sell including whiskey, bourbon, agave, vodka, gin, and moonshine. There is also a list of house cocktails as well. I was greeted promptly and when ready, placed my order with the bartender for a Blackberry Mule. The drink was served in a chilled tin cup and was excellent. Not too strong, but with just enough booze to balance out the fruit/ginger flavors. It came with a wedge of lime as well. It seemed like everyone who came in on this Saturday afternoon was a first time visitor. That isn't too surprising since the business has only been open for 1 1/2 years. I didn't see any food items offered on the menu and I forgot to ask. The website mentions a menu is coming soon, but no date was listed. I am uncertain if they offer any tasting flights. I did not see any listed on the menu board. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit to the distillery. I will have to follow up on finding answers on my next visit. Review #2822 read more

A group of decided on a road trip to this distillery located in the heart of Anderson. The building itself is beautiful and from what I hear there's a ton of history with the building. We visited in October so every employee was dressed in costume. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and patient as we decided on our drinks. I had a bourbon and dc and my wife had a whiskey sour that she enjoyed. I enjoyed my drink enough to get a second one (long pour). First time visiting with a friend for a drink. My favorite of the two drinks I tried was the blueberry smash. It was so delicious. The vibe of the whole place is pretty cool. I like how open it and that you can sit and near the tanks. We also got a small pulled pork nachos to share. I thought a small would not be enough for both of us but it was a healthy portion and more than enough to feed us both. I also learnt that Tuesday is ladies night and drinks are half price so that was a bonus. I will definitely visit again next time I am in Anderson. read more

I've been here twice now. The food is good pub grub. Crab Rangoon pizza, yes please. The portions are also plentiful. I find some of the drinks a little weak.
