We love this restaurant because of the constantly rotating amazing variety of very good beers- and not just IPAs! You can bring the whole family here and they have great atmosphere for indoor and outdoor seating. The test kitchen food is like an amazing version of your favorite bar food. They even recently started a members loyalty program! If I were going to give a suggestion it would just be to get a touch tunes because I personally looove a touch tunes. They got pitchers of beer which was good, I got the pachangarita. Good as well. We did order snacky type food from the kitchen below. It was mediocre. I stopped by Sun King and ended up having a really good experience. The place has a comfortable, family friendly vibe, and they had college football games on the TVs, which made it a fun spot to hang out for a bit. The service was great too. Everyone was friendly and on top of things. They did forget to bring me one of my beers, but they apologized right away and comped it, which I really appreciated. The food was also really good. There are lots of different options, so it's easy for everyone to find something they're in the mood for. Everything we had tasted fresh and hit the spot. Overall, Sun King is a solid place to grab good food, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

I Usually have a good time at sunking. The bartender working this afternoon had a different plan. After we started our tab and stepped out on the patio to enjoy a few minutes of sunshine, we went back in to order another drink. I was scolded by the bartender for not being in my "area" and told I needed to cash out. I told the bartender that is perfectly fine and we will continue outside with the server, please add a beer to my tab before you cash me out. He looked at me and told me he is not going to steal from his servers and told me no with an attitude. We are now across the across the street getting great customer service. read more

So very sad to leave this review. We have loved Sun King since it opened at the current Fishers location but recent visits have not been the best. We like to take our dogs and sit outside in the spring/summer/fall and used to visit regularly. The staff used to know our dogs by name. That staff has disappeared. The patio the last 3 visits this spring has been dirty and littered with trash. We clean our area ourselves to keep the dogs from eating trash. It seems no one blows off the concrete surface daily. We were told today it was cleaned on Mondays. Just Mondays??? Truly not enough in the busy summer months. We spilled a beer today and asked for a wet towel that was never delivered. Cleaned it ourselves with napkins. Service has declined, and Clutch Kitchen has not delivered. We miss One Trick Pony and Gordito's. Our smash burger from Clutch was flavorless! We have tried several items from Clutch Kitchen hoping to find something that is better than what was served before and have yet to taste anything that is award winning from a master chef. The food, service, and general upkeep outside have all declined. Today we chose not to order food (knowing we did not like the food), but the bar service was terrible. I assume they were understaffed. We will be searching for a new pet friendly brewery that is cleaner. The only plus is the beer. Beer 5 stars; everything else a generous 2 stars. Returned for more beer with Sun King but new for the Fishers location for me. The beer we had was the Orange Vanilla Sunlight which is a Cream Ale. This was a good Cream Ale for sure. I always thought that this type of Ale I don't have often I take to be a novelty still after all my brewery and beer exploring and that is very much a good thing. Because when I do have a Cream Ale I almost always enjoy it. The flavor characteristics live up to the name well. You can definitely pick up the orange and the vanilla. It makes the beer sweet but not too much. The body of the beer is creamy and smooth, just like how a good Cream Ale should be! read more

Awarding 3 stars because they recently replaced their food options with a new restaurant and the new place's tacos and chips/salsa are both a 0/10 compared to Gorditos (the previous restaurant). Their Haut Chocolate they had last year was one of my favorite beers I've ever had and I enjoyed the C3 and Kookie that they had on tap last week. Drink service has been pretty good here as well for us. Main reason I don't give a 5th star is because I don't love their dining options between the awkward system for ordering and collecting your food as well as the food offerings themselves. I have been wanting to try this place for quite sometime. It was a friends birthday and they live in Fishers so I finally had the opportunity. First off it is located in the Yard, the new district in Fishers which has lots of shops and places to dine. That's fantastic but parking is pretty hard to find, especially when attempting to park around 7:30pm on. Saturday! After circling a couple times found a spot pretty close to the building. Walking in, it was very vibrant and busy. All the tables were taken (luckily my friends were already there). Not king after sitting down, a server came to take my drink order. She was very prompt and friendly. I'm not a huge beer fan so I asked her for suggestions on a light beer. She recommend two. Inside Sun King is also the Test Kitchen. I have heard about this but didn't realize it is located inside the brewery. So once I ordered my beer I went to order food. There are I think 4 different options. You order via a kiosk and you receive a text when your food is ready. Pretty neat and efficient. There are lots of TVs around and music is playing. I've been to the Sun King downtown which is much closer but I would say this one is more warm and feels like an actual bar. I like it...it's just a bit far from me! -) read more

Stopped by to have a beer. the door person told us we could have a seat at the bar but they close in an 30 minutes. When we got to the bar a rude lady with green hair wasn't happy that we sat and gave us attitude remind us of the fact that they are closing - continued serving us with an attitude. I watched he interact with employees with joy. She then started to talk poorly about a fellow employee that she said was getting fired today or should be tomorrow - absolutely not something she should talk about ever. I'm a big fan of the Sun King Carmel but had never been to the new-ish Sun King Fishers! Its quite similar to the Carmel location, with an ample ground level patio, large interior space with three food vendors, and an upstairs patio. It's within the bustling Fishers District area and overlooks The Yard area. Because of that, parking can be tight - but there is a free (I think) parking garage adjacent to Sun King. SK always has an ample drink menu, including ciders and NA options. I tried the Pineapple Crush NA drink - basically a Shirley Temple with pineapple juice. It was refreshing, but I was surprised to see it was $5.50 - basically the same price as a can of cider or a basic beer, but this had no alchohol. Great service as always. I'll be back! read more

A group of friends wanted to meet up and we decided this would be a good place. There is a large open area on the first floor with picnic style tables suitable for large groups. When you walk in there is an employee that greets you and let's you know to grab a table, a server will bring you drinks, and you order food from your phone via a QR code. For a drink I went with the MARTYLADA (Pachanga Mexican-Style Lager, Sun King Bloody Mary Mix, Tajin Rim, Lime Wedge). Their version of a michelada. It was good and very beer forward. For food they have three options: Gordito's (think Mexican food), inspo (think bar food meets healthy, meets foodie), and One Trick Pony (Burgers). Sun King has really done a great job with their expansions over the years, and the Fishers location is no different. Lots of giant tables perfect for getting a group together fill most of the space, but smaller tables are also available. Of course, there is a wide variety of Sun King brewed beers, but they've also added cocktails and even a few mock tails to the mix. If your not a beer lover but your friends are, bring them here! There's also the attached test kitchen which has rotating food vendors working out of a few stalls. Definitely recommend the Korean food, although I was eyeing a juicy looking burger and cheese fries that someone else had order. This place is beautiful!! Sunking is in a building with 4 other restaurants- imagine a mini "the garage" in bottleworks downtown. You can sit up at the sunking bar and order food from one of the other restaurants. How cool is that! This is a two story building, and Sunking is on both floors with two different bars. There are also an upstairs patio if you want to sit out there! We ended up sitting at the bar. Our two bartenders were very friendly and were on it! The first drink I had was a panchanga rita. It is their style of a Mexican lager, tequila, and margarita mix. You can also add one of three flavors: strawberry, pomegranate, or pineapple. I chose strawberry and it was AMAZING. I wouldve gotten another one, but then we saw a smoothie machine that was labeled "smores" ... curiosity got the best of me and I had to try it. Literally, think smores in milkshake form. It is vanilla vodka, bourbon, bourbon cream. They have some kind of marshmallow topping, lather it with chocolate sauce, and even had a graham cracker lid. If youre debating on getting this drink, stop debating and DO IT. Its sooooo yummy, I could've drank them any day!! This sun king also had liquor. I dont know if this is new, but the downtown one didn't use to (i think anyways), so if you want a mixed drink, they can make them. Definitely will be back here soon!! Always love going to any of the Sunk King locations especially in the Fishers District. The test kitchen is a great idea. Visited here for the first on a random Saturday in October during covid. This place has both indoor and outdoor seating on two levels as well. Seating is very ample parking is very ample as it is located in a strip mall development along with residential housing and all parking is luckily free. Came here with a large group of friends. Everything is self service with the exception of the alcohol menu. You must walk around to get to the food kiosks located inside. The kiosks are not consistent nor were they fully occupied and the menus were not fully available as advertised. I have had sun king beer before but never at one of their brick and mortar locations. The menu here is quite vast of what they offer. The beers are a bit on the light side even though we had chosen darker or mid range darker type beers. Service was great ambience was fantastic the place is clean I would come back bite need more food options and the beer menu hopefully changes seasonally. read more

This place is so cool!! This new Fishers Sun King (they closed their other Fishers location) is beautiful, fun and super energetic. Not only is it a brewery, but they hold the Fishers Test Kitchen inside, so you can get a beer and then enjoy several different cuisines by purchasing them from the variety of food stands. We got a drink and headed upstairs. There's a second bar on the second floor, as well as a huge balcony/patio which will be so amazing when it gets warm again. We were having a work meeting here, and the entire place was crowded at lunch time, so they're clearly doing amazing already. My favorite part is that when we arrived, one of the Sun King staff greeted us at the door and explained how everything worked, which was super helpful. Our bartender was also super nice and fun, and I'll definitely be back with my family. Such a fun, much-needed spot in Fishers' The Yard. Cheers! read more

We really enjoyed this spot on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of seating indoors, outdoors, upstairs and by the bar. I think they also allow dogs in the patio. They have the test kitchen inside with a few different foods vendors. The food options were burgers, tacos or brunch type food. We tried the nachos and they were really tasty. It's an incredibly kid friendly place with high chairs and plenty of space to let the kids roam around. There were probably 5 other kids under 2 there while we were there. Perfect place to have a beer with the kids. Our server was really outgoing and offered us recommendations for our second round based on the first round. I had a really good peach wheat beer and you can't go wrong with their OG cream ale. My husband prefers the IPAs. read more

Seven of us arrived on 1/3 to eat before an Indy Fuel hockey game. Among the seven, there was a 23 year-old--who wanted lemonade and four 50-somethings and two 80-year-olds. I am 80 (!) and was told by the server that without an ID, I could not have a beer. If there is a more extreme example of corporate stupidity, I'd listen. There is no legal authority--had they walked in while we were there--that would have challenged the legality of my being served a beer without an ID. I think sunking does amazing work and I personally love that they are expanding all over Indy. The yard is an awesome spot in fishers and it gives you plenty of options as far as food and dining. When I learned that sunking had a spot in the yard, I was very Happy. The space is in the back corner, and they focus on covid safety which I love. I know they have to but I still like to see it. The indoor space is modern and sleek, without being sterile, and the tables are spaced out. They have three different food spots in the back, so you always have a variety. There is an outdoor space as well, which is perfect with nice weather and people watching. For my two drinks, I decided to have a tasty lemon shandy style beer, which was light and refreshing, then because they can sell spirits, I wanted to try and a mixed drink. I ended up having a blackberry gin drink that was very tasty and it was hard not to slam it down. I love this place and cant wait to get back for more. read more

I love that there is a Sun King presence everywhere we go! Downtown, Fishers, Carmel, Broad Ripple - each with their own atmosphere! I really like the restaurant stalls that are in Fishers Sun King (Lil Dumplings, Korave, One Trick Pony, Signature Table). This one has decent amount of parking and not to mention several more food options around in the Yard. They've done a pretty good job with social distancing and having hand sanitizer around. Most people have adapted to the QR code menu scans and I think most people my age actually like that they can just pull it up on their phone. read more

My favorite local brewery. Cool hang out in the fishers district. Indoor and out door seating is avl. It was a nice day in March and people were sitting outside. I went solely to pick up their fistful of haze. They used to have a fistful of hops seasonal, they seemed to discontinue, so this was a treat. What was interesting with the location, it's connected in the same building as the test kitchen; 3 places that are serving food. I will return another time just to hang out.
