Really a hit or miss place. I have been probably 10 times, and sometimes good but sometimes poor. I usually do a hamburger and icecream, but this last time the cheese was wrong, and they gave me fries instead of onion rings....on top of that the fries were extremely small portion and soggy. The icecream barely filled the cup, so not a good showing. Unfortunately its the only place in Oakley, and the prices keep going up. A nice staff, but I went away disappointed this time. I'll probably try again, but this time I'll check my order twice before I drive off.....or I'll break out the grill amd cook myself read more

Best burger I've had. Every bad experience that anyone has had is either due to rare mix ups (the front staff are young, give them a break) or they come at an insanely busy time. The family who operate it are very friendly and work very hard to get customers food out fast, but they don't take shortcut. If you're looking for a "customer is always right" atmosphere, then go to a chain restaurant, but if you're looking for a great meal from some honest, hardworking people, then nowhere in Utah is better. read more

They do burgers and fries the right way. Way too many options for burgers in the Kamas Valley and this one tops them all. Closed on Sunday and open seasonally. Would love to see them stay open year round. read more

You'll miss it if you aren't looking for it so keep an eye out for it! Great hamburgers. I got the Rodeo burger. It came out fresh and hot. Good bacon. Four stars because their french fries were just terrible. They came out soggy and limp. They were honestly worse than cafeteria french fries. Their curly fries were very good though. I always make a stop here after camping at Smith & Morehouse. The food is amazing and we always have good service. Some days can be busy, but we always get our food fast. Their zucchini chips are some of the best I've had, crisped to perfection. You can't go wrong with any flavor of shake, but I especially love cake batter. read more

We have been meaning to stop here for years after hearing good reviews from folks returning from the Uintas. We changed our schedule a bit so that we passed through Oakley at lunch time and gave it a try. We spent $30 on two burgers, two malts, and one order of curly fries. The burgers were black, dry, and way overdone. The fries were crispy, but tasted like fish/shrimp. The malts were just OK. The only redeeming factor was the great service - fast and friendly. I guess we don't need to ever stop here again. Our dogs loved it because we gave them half of the burnt burger patties - good thing they don't know how to drive, or they would pull over next time. My recommendation is to avoid this place unless you are actually starving. read more

Mediocre small town "mom and pops" style burger and fry spot. Waited almost 25 mins for 1 Bacon Cheese Burger & Fry. After receive order they forgot to give me fries. Told me sorry, that it will be 10-12 more mins to get those out to me. NOPE...I left and won't be back. It was not the best burger Ive ever had. The food here is amazing. I personally don't like the fries they make but all my friends love them. The only thing that sucks about this place is that they turn the grill off WAY before they close. I called at 8:18 to place an order for pick up and the guy then told me that the grill was already off. I then asked him what time they close and he said 9. OVER PRICED CHEAP ASSES!!!! It is very sad. My Grandmother used to live next door to this place and I had such fond memories of walking over to get a hamburger & ice cream The current owners have ruined that! The prices are insane, $4 for a regular Hamburger, $7 for a decent one that I could make at home for $1. I wanted to take my daughter there to have the same experience I had as a kid but it was completely ruined by these cheap asses! I forgot to tell them to leave the Ketchup off because my daughter will only eat it plain when I opened it and told them that they sat behind the window bitching then sent the manager/owner over to say "this is how you ordered it are you going to buy another hamburger?!" Seriously!!??? I just spent $4 on a stupid hamburger my daughter won't even eat now and you can't afford to give me a new bun & I will just scrape the stuff off?? to keep a customer happy? Call me crazy but when you really only have business one weekend out of the year I would think that you would treat your customers a little better than that, it doesn't seem like you can afford to lose any business and your food isn't all that special. As of today they have at least lost my family as customers some of which live within 2 miles of this place. If you are passing by in the summer the only time they are open & just need something to eat keep driving....only a few miles down the road there are more places to eat with better customer service in Kamas. read more

Very good food but they're staff is very disrespectful and very unprofessional I asked for a sprite no ice then they proceed to give me one with ice and when I asked for them to fix it the young lady gives me attitude pours out the ice from my drink along with almost half of the soda and hands it right back to me and closes the window on me. On a recent work excursion, a co-worker and I were near Oakley around lunch time and decided to stop in here. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to make another trip. Don't get me wrong, the service was prompt and friendly and the food wasn't gross. However, for the prices they're charging I wanted a little more than "not gross." I ordered the shrimp basket, which was probably a mistake. Mine had four our five SeaPak seeming breaded shrimp with a mess of soggy, limp french fries. My co-worker did a little better with the cheeseburger, of which he was complimentary. He was wise and left most of his fries uneaten. So this place did the trick during this particular trip, but I can't really recommend it. read more

Live in Salt Lake City. It's a nice little drive. We love their food. Best fries around. Yes, it will take a while for your food because they don't cook it until you order it. So if you don't have the patience to wait, don't go there and then complain about the wait. We find it worth the wait. Besides, they're nice people. read more

We stop here periodically for their handmixed, over-the-top shakes; however, we brought our family of 7 for lunch. Service was very good, most everyone enjoyed their food and loved the shakes. My only qualm with Polar King is the prices. I feel shakes are fairly priced, but sandwiches are too high. read more

First off, the Double Bacon Cheeseburger was absolutely outstanding. One of the best i've had surprisingly. The fries were pretty below average, and the cost is super high. It's VERY expensive. But if i'm really in the mood for a solid burger i'll go back and just not get the fries. I definitely recommend going and just not paying extra for the fries and then you'll make out with a decent price range and above average food. read more

Slackjaw here. I went to Oakley for an event and wanted to try the Road Island Diner, but they are only open Thursday - Sunday. Not too far is the Oakley Polar King. I decided to take a chance. I had the bacon cheeseburger and was pleasantly surprised. The meat was cooked just right and the bacon was plentiful and fresh. They weren't fast, but the sign says they cook everything fresh and they were right. It was worth the wait. read more

We ate here over Memorial Day weekend and 2 people in my family became violently ill after eating the chicken and we think their ranch dip. I called after realizing what linked us to getting sick and the girl that answered was snotty and said, "maybe it was a bug" like it couldn't have been their food. I tried being nice, it took a lot of guts to call and let them know but I think they should be aware if people are getting sick from their food. Or if any of their employee's are not washing their hands. The least she could of done was to apologize or say thank you for letting us know. Horrible customer service! Terrible service. Waited almost 30 minutes for two milkshakes. Three tables were served food, still no milkshakes. When I went to the register to see what the hold up was the server asked if I was waiting on milkshakes. It was then realized that he had just given them to the wrong table. He took them back and tried to give them to me with spoons from the other customers still in them. I requested my money back and they became argumentative with me. They said would not give me a refund but would make new ones. I just left the restaurant forfeiting the $9. Not worth the hassle. read more

Very pleasantly surprised at the quality and tastiness of the bacon burger. At this small place in a small town, for some reason I expected a frozen, filler-laden patty. Not so. Seemed like a fresh, hand made beef patty, cooked perfectly and very tasty. read more

I thought the burger was OUTSTANDING! My wife loved the fries. I saw a young man leave with a scoop of ice cream the size of a softball. Give them a try next time you roll thru Oakley. It's a small town burger bar.....doesn't get better than that. read more
