Since the practitioner doesn't speak English, I translated my symptoms into Chinese using Google Translate and showed him my phone. He checked my tongue and pulse very carefully before writing out a custom herbal tea prescription entirely in Chinese characters. You then take the prescription to the front counter where they prepare the herbs into 5 separate bags. Each bag lasts 2 days, and you boil the herbs for about an hour, strain the tea, and save the rest for the next day. I'm not going to lie -- the tea tastes STRONG. Very earthy, bitter, and honestly like dirt lol. Each boiled tea bag yields 24-32 oz. that needs to be consumed warm, preferably in one sitting after lunch. It was hard to drink, but after finishing my first cycle (10days) I noticed a huge improvement in my symptoms. They explained that most people do 2-3 cycles using the same prescription for full results. I genuinely feel a lot better. I paid $20 for consultation + $85 for the tea. If you use the prescription and 2nd time you only pay for the tea of $85. They take credit cards but there is a $6 transaction fee.

I went with the 20oz large size for my bev as it was a really hot day and only $1 more. My too cool for school Bar-rista even offered me a nice ice cold water while I waited as we bonded over that L.A. heat and humidity. They had some pickup orders and inquiring individuals passing by on the street and a few boxes to increase their shelf inventory. My order was placed around 4:30 or 5 PM. This morning, when I went to take my first juice I looked at the expiration which was 9/22. This was the case for three of the five bottles I purchased. I have no idea how long these bottles have been sitting in the refrigerator or when the juice was actually pressed. This is incredibly disappointing and there's no way that I'm going to drink this. I called the store two times this morning and no one answered. I left a voice message and have yet to hear back - 20 minutes later. It's worth it to note that I am in LA from out of town for work. I have no time to go to their location and have a conversation with the manager or take the time to go and return the juices and get fresh.
