We went with Hunter Douglas plantation shutters in the bedrooms and automatic roller shades in the living room and kitchen. The shades give us just the right amount of privacy and light control without making the house feel dark or closed in. We've also been very impressed with the Hunter Douglas quality. Rather than try to sell me a new blind, Rod bent over backwards to find a discontinued part from the manufacturer to see if we could repair the turning mechanism of an otherwise good blind. Being an interior designer, I have very high standards, and I knew that if we designed blinds for the inside to cover the windows from the sun, it would look funky. We reached out to Charlie and the communication was off the charts. He is so easy to work with and very friendly. He guided us towards a functional, motorized, outdoor window covering system. He guaranteed that he could make the rollers visually pleasing outside and he delivered on this! He and his team came out and installed and made sure that everything worked properly and that it looked good.
